NAME MEANING - When Brontes had to pick a name, he knew he owed some allegiance to the kingdom of Silvarum he had chosen to set up shop in. Including Starheart in the name was a good way to bring in natives of the continent, and gain support from the rulers of the land. Regiment just came to mind one day, sounded good, and made sense.

So they call themselves Starheart's Regiment, and they pride themselves on keeping the world safe. Not many know about the tunnels that run under all of Silvarum, and those that do have little idea about how much danger lurks below. In the winding tunnels are dangers beyond imagining - dangers that the Regiment is determined to fight back. They dwell on the savannah above a maze of entrances to the ruins, and regularly head out on missions inside to keep the darkness back. No one had claimed the space, so it was simple to claim the land as their own - or if anyone had previously, they had perished long before the Regiment set up camp. Now, the group dwells there, amongst homes built into the stone, and while the group lives a hard life, they consider it to be a worthy one.
The group is far more about efficiency than comfort - the lions bring warm furs and fires into their homes, but excess niceties are shunned in the Regiment. One always has to be ready for battle, after all.
. . . . THE RANKS . . . .
Commander - the leader of the Regiment. Offers wisdom and keeps the group together. Often breaks up arguments and commands a lot of respect. Represented by 5 beads.
Squad leader - In charge of a group of lions. Answers to the commander. The squad leaders are almost like a council when all together. While in charge of groups, they also are the wisest lions and offer advice to the commander. Represented by 4 beads.
Medic - The lions in charge of healing. With so much danger around, lions are bound to get hurt every so often. This group has saved many lives with their special skills. Represented not by beads, but by a black feather.
Medic apprentice - healers in training. They gain their feather when they become a full medic.
Duelist - The main group of warriors. Each one has proven themselves brave in combat and strong or wise enough to fight back the darkness that lies beneath Silvarum. Represented by 3 beads.
Scrapper - These are warriors who, for whatever reason, are not as experienced or strong as the duelists. They train under the Duelists in their spare time and challenge each other to friendly competitions. Generally younger. Represented by 2 beads.
Artisan - Lions who excel at making things. They craft defenses, crafts to sell back in town, and all sorts of useful items. Represented by a flower.
Novice - Artisans in training. Each novice apprentices under a specific artisan and learns the craft.
Cub - The youngest of the group. These little ones spend their time enjoying life and causing trouble all around. Everyone loves them. Represented by one bead.
Veteran - Lions who have retired from the main fighting force for whatever reason. Generally older, respected by all for the wisdom they can share. They keep the same number of beads they had in their service, as well as a white feather.
. . . .EMBLEM. . . .
The Regiment's symbol would be two crossed feathers - one white, and one black. The feathers stand for freedom, and flight. The feathers being crossed represents the conflict that Starheart's Regiment constantly faces.
