Soleil won the poll (well, tied with Thyx, but I figured it'd be more productive to submit a new thing,) so I cranked out her profile today! Check it out! I, uh... I spent a lot of time reading old RP stuff. There's a lot of stuff I forgot about, honestly, so it was fun! Soleil is a really old character and she has probably the weirdest power out of all of my OCs, so definitely check her out!

Hopefully her layout isn't too blinding... I messed with the colors forever and this is the closest I could get to being readable but still bright and sunny and happy! One shade darker and the whole thing is just weird orange dumped all over the place instead of a nice sandy color. Colors......... hard.

Next I'll try and port Thyx over to the new layout, and after that I'll hold another poll since the two most popular choices will have been taken care of! Or I'll just do whatever or run out of profile spoons, who know??

I'm having a hard time picking out my next profile, so I figured I'd see if anyone has some preferences by throwing up a poll! The very yellow options are:

1. Astor  //  A member of the Discitus Union, a group that seeks all of Entirety's knowledge. He's a sparkly bishonen who charms everyone he sees, but the truth is that he's actually a huge dork and a nerd who just gets away with roleplaying as a handsome prettyboy. I love him a lot and he's been showing up in RP stuff a lot, so I'd really like to get some info out about him! The poor thing's been hidden for almost two years! But there's a snag in his backstory (why his angry demon bird Qamar stays by him and how they even met) that might hold me up and keep me from finishing his profile entirely.
   
   
2. Haruto  //  An angel who seems so kind and selfless that it almost seems suspicious. But it's all real! He doesn't know a thing about himself, he just woke up one day, grabbed a name off of Google, and went to go nice to people all around the world. That's it, that's his entire character. Needless to say a profile of his would be fairly brief, but probably also unsatisfying since you pretty much just read the whole thing now. He's being used in RP now, but he's just not important enough of a character to be a high priority for a profile. He's a cute boy with a decent amount of art, though, and maybe I'd come up with more stuff from writing about him as I often do. But maybe it'd be best to wait until he's developed more.
   
   
3. Karina Cirice  //  A mysterious, shy girl who worships "the Lurking God," to whom she shows a large amount of devotion and reverence to... it's to the extent that it almost seems like a relationship. I'm really fond of her, she's involved in an RP thread, her design and art are great, but I'm having trouble deciding if I should keep her in the setting she's involved in or if I should make her some kind of independent Void Cult person. That setting is kind of a mess in general, so either way I'm going to struggle a lot with backstory and relationships.
   
   
4. Larya Tayl  //  Larya already has a profile! She does need to be updated to the newest profile layout, though. She's one of my oldest and most prominent OCs so she's not undeserving of a profile revamp, but since she already has a technically finished profile she's pretty low-priority. It might be quick to insert her into the new layout, but maybe not... there's a lot of stuff I'd have to add, and that's time that could be spent on a profile for someone who doesn't have one yet. But maybe it Would go fast and I could get to work on a new profile pretty fast while finally having revamped hers??
   
   
5. Piove Fontana  //  The daughter of two professors at Hell College: a human and a water slime. Needless to say, her anatomy is kind of a mess and the older she gets the more her human bits start dissolving away. She's incredibly anxious about it, worried that soon her mind will be eaten up too and she'll become a slave to her monster instincts. I really like Piove a lot (and her dads but neither have art or even proper refs bc i can't fuckin draw RIP) and I've put a lot of thought into her, so filling everything out would take time but wouldn't be too hard. But she's a fairly new character who hasn't been used in RP, writing, nor is she an adopt (I generally prioritize adopts for profiles so people don't think I'm hoarding them + I can show them off to their creators,) so she might be a weird choice to pick over the others.
   
   
6. Soleil  //  A member of Halyn's Alliance who's always around to brighten the mood. Likes fashion, music, and breaking people out of their shells. She has the ability to summon "Unreal people" to use as flesh shields or to do her bidding. She's kind of overdue for a bio; a lot of Lilaverse characters are pretty neglected, but she's lucky enough to have art! She's also showed up in RP a ton thanks to being so old of an OC. But because of having RP history her profile could take long enough to exhaust my profile spoons, especially since I also need to redo her backstory and figure out how she died. She's also not an adopt, which ofc is also a thing with Larya, so that sets her priority a little lower. god id need to make rp history for larya too oh god ive been rping with her actively since two thousand fuckin seven folks. god have mercy.
   
   
7. Thyx  //  Like Larya, Thyx already has a profile! It's also a little more advanced than Larya's since it was made later, so it has more details that could be ported over. But again he has a serviceable profile already, he's not an adopt, he's got a lot of RP history to type up, etc. But on the other hand he's my big meme character and you know how the kids these day love them some memes!
   
   
8. Xelly Cherata  //  A spider-alien who's involved in the ever-deadly NEBULA DEATH RACE. As in I created her (character-wise, design-wise I doodled her up a while back) specifically for someone's RP thread that never really took off bc the person kinda stopped RPing. So... her profile would be really minimal and it'd be kinda weird to make one for her at the moment since she's such an insignificant character, just kinda floatin' around in the void. She's also original etc. etc.

IT'S BEEN 3,000 YEARS BUT I FINALLY FINISHED ANOTHER PROFILE

Check out Nyctea's profile! Please enjoy this smug bird. I've actually had this profile in the works for around a year, believe it or not! I was working on her, like, the day before the big TH update that broke everyone's layouts, so I was like 1/3 finished and suddenly I had to quit since it took a while for me to find another layout I liked. After that, I just didn't feel like going back and copypasting all of the old info into a new layout so rip. But I'm really fond of Nyctea, so it feels nice to have finally finished her profile!

In other news, still got a lot to do. Got a lot of literature to go through, really need to get back to properly moderating the Generator Freebie Bin, I need to update and bump my resell/trade thread, gotta make more profiles, gotta catch up on a lot of nice comments that have been around for months that I'd like to respond to at some point, gotta make a proper stats explanation thing, gotta finish that info about RPG Hell demons... how long until the manic fades and I go back to being lazy all the time?? We'll find out!

Also I'm done uploading literature for now, so check out my library! I'm working on a short story at the moment, but reading everyone else's stories really makes me want to write even more, especially more serious stuff. I love writing wacky comedy fanfiction of me and my friends' OCs, but writing this was a breath of fresh air and I'd definitely like to write more drama and suffering. But we'll see!

First off, I finally got around to writing descriptions for all of my folders, so check 'em out! Some of them are a little long, though, but oh well. I also reorganized my characters, so now my main characters for things are finally up front and grouped with related characters! Though now "all characters" is kind of a weird mess, but I can live with it.

Also finished uploading all of the literature I planned to; I have two more stories I'll upload today and the next day (I didn't really wind up spacing out newer things that well after all lmao but thank you to the people who checked out stuff regardless!) and then I'm donezo! I still have plenty more OC stories, of course, but they either only involve OCs with no profiles yet or there are too many major characters missing from TH for it to really make sense to upload.

And, uhhhh, yeah! That's it! Hopefully I'll get to reading some things soon, but even after clearing out my inbox the other day I still have a bunch of stuff to go through and reading takes a while! I love validating writers, though, so hopefully I'll get some lil stars your way soon!

Howdy folks, I'm about to upload a bunch of old literature! This stuff dates anywhere between 2008 and now, though like I said I'll wait a while to start trickling in newer stuff. Of course, not every story I've written about OCs contains OCs who have profiles up, so you might still see some really old stuff pop up in the future. I think it's kinda fun to read old writing, though! Note that some of the stories are chapter stories, but none of them are completed nor will they be updated; if they ever are they'd just get rebooted instead of added onto. You're welcome to subscribe to them if you really want to but uhhh... don't expect those to ever pay off!

But yeah, expect your inboxes to get pretty spammed! I'll also probably reorganize my folders and finally add descriptions to them after that, but depending on how long the literature stuff takes I might not get around to it until tomorrow. Either way I'll make another bulletin when that's all done!

IVE BEEN WAITING FOR LITERATURE SUBMISSIONS MY ENTIRE LIFE........... as someone who writes a lot it's rly important to me because it's always hard to get people to read your writing so it's really exciting to have another place to show that off!! More importantly there's a lot of people who post writing on sites I don't have accounts for or that don't have favorites so I'd have to leave a comment somewhere just to give them the validation of saying "hey I read this" and I'm REALLY bad at commenting on stuff! So it'll be nice to just slam that fav button! Though RIP everyone who's gonna get favspammed as I favorite any writing I already read before

I have loads of writing to upload, so I'm thinking later today (going to my little brother's graduation party in a bit) I'll mass upload a bunch of old stuff. Then I'll probably start trickling in the newer stuff once things start to die down as a sinister tactic to get people into reading it. >:3c I've been working on a new story, too - a murder mystery that isn't terribly mysterious but has a bunch of my friends' OCs in it - so it'll be nice to be able to just upload that right away!

In other news, uhhh....... I haven't really been active! Which sucks! I actually just deleted all of my billions of notifications yesterday (after skimming to check for pings or comments but I don't think I caught any other than one comment, so if I missed something please let me know!) and still need to bite the bullet and delete my several thousand dA notifications. I dunno, it's not even like I haven't had time to check things, I think it's just that on here and dA notifications pile up so fast that if I go a single day without checking them it's immediately overwhelming. Even after disabling image notifications here! Which probably means I should follow fewer people and threads but I don't want to because I love OCs!!!!! ;_;

So not really making any promises about activity especially since I'm job hunting (getting kicked out August 1st regardless of where I'm at in life so it's been a fun summer thus far) and got That Depression(tm) but maybe?? Hopefully??? I'd like to be?????

just wanted to let u all know that next week is my last week of school (well i have one class next semester but ya know) and while it's going to be a doozy - on tuesday i have an oral presentation in italian in a dang 100-level class and then i have two comprehensive (across my major) exams + a 12-15 page research paper due on friday - after it's over i will be FREE!!!! AT LAST!!!!! TO DO THINGS!!!!!!

i'll finally have some dang time to sit down and read bios every day..... and read people's writes...... and play sinfonia (yeah thats right i namedropped).......... and participate in forum games..... and write/update bios.........

After 10,000 years I finally did it... I finally made a bio for one of my most important dang OCs. Even though most of the hard work was done thanks to his old Charahub profile, there was still quite a bit to be done. All the new sections, links, images, alt text, proofreading and editing things to be worded more clearly/express more, etc., not to mention I pretty much needed to rewrite his entire personality section.

BUT LeFleuris is one of my favorite OCs and definitely one of the most psychologically complex, so I hope you'll enjoy him and that this bulletin will successfully harass you into reading his profile!! Be mindful of the content warnings listed, though, because this leafy boy has had a life. Definitely one of those. Sorry buddy, I've got no intentions of smoothing out the edges of your backstory. So many edges. So much edge.

Also I decided to go ahead and link to my stats bulletin on the stats tab for the time being even though it's not really a complete listing. It's better than nothing, though! I'll update that on the other profile v6 people... eventually... probably... if I don't forget... soon(tm).

HELLO FRIENDS long time, no deets! I started Chelsea's profile here back in late February but got the profile itch and finally got around to completing it today! I actually wanted to start a different character's profile today, but then I realized Chelsea was still unfinished and decided I might as well get her out of the way first. Check it out!! She's cool and my friend. She was designed by veronabeach95, who has super good art and neat designs!!

If you're particularly keen-eyed you might notice the stats page is a little different, and that's because I got rid of the charisma stat and charisma skills because I dunno where I was really going with those. Since I still don't have a stats info page thing done, though, I decided I'd use this bulletin to describe them a little bit!

Bear in mind these stats are based off of theoretically being in a kind of SRPG a la the Disgaea or Fire Emblem! Also note that the stats bars don't refer to solid values aside from MOV; a 75% full SPD bar doesn't mean their SPD is at 75, it just means that their SPD is higher than average in comparison to other units.

Element refers to the 16 elements I've come up with. You can check them out here in this type chart! Each character can have two elements to them like in Pokemon, and like Pokemon again this element combination determines their weaknesses and what special skills they get bonus damage for using. I'm thinking of having a sub-element system where if the unit does something or another or uses a special item they can add (or replace if they already have two) an element from a very small pool unique to them. Dicro, for example, who has sadly now fallen to page 2 of my characters, fits into a lot of categories thanks to his variety of abilities. So his pool would consist of Air, Metal, Mind, and Soul but he'd start off with just two of those as his basic elements.

Species refers to the 18 species categories I've come up with, listed here. I might add more, I might not, I dunno. Certain skills have a higher/lower effectiveness against certain species, like holy skills dealing extra damage to Demonic enemies or a hacker character having an attack that deals more damage to Technological enemies. Species might also be relevant in one's Passive Ability or Personal Weakness.

Positioning Skills are abilities like those in Fire Emblem Heroes and akin to the ability to lift and throw in Disgaea. These skills let units move other units - friend or foe - around the board. These aren't unique to every character, with each character instead having one positioning skill from a pool of 10 or so which I still need to decide on oops hence why I haven't made the official stats page yet...

Passive Abilities are akin to Evilities from Disgaea or Abilities from Pokemon. Passive Abilities are a unique trait that each character has. This ability might strengthen allies, weaken enemies, etc. The unit might get a boost based on HP threshold, they might lower ailment resistances of foes next to them... it varies a lot!

Personal Weaknesses are sort of the opposite of Passive Abilities in that they're always a negative effect. Personal Weaknesses are unique to the character and based on their fears, likes, so on and so forth. This usually amounts to dealing less damage to or taking more damage from certain species or elements.

Friendship Bonuses are +5% bonuses other units receive from befriending the unit in question, a la the support system in Fire Emblem. I haven't decided if this is a flat, permanent boost to the unit's stats or if it only applies if the units are within a certain range of each other. Considering in this theoretical game you can support everyone with everyone, that might make the former OP, but on the other hand I like the idea of everyone having permanent, static stats and therefore creating bonds with others is the only way to get stronger and stand up to the stats of later foes. But I'm rambling!

Now for the stats themselves:

• HP: Hit Points. Your stamina, basically. If your HP runs out, you die!
  
• SP: Skill Points. Skills cost SP, and if you run out of SP you can't use said skills anymore.
  
• ATK: Physical attack. Targets opponent's DEF.
  
• DEF: Physical defense.
  
• MAG: Magical attack. Targets opponent's RES.
  
• RES: Magical defense.
  
• ACC: Accuracy. Affects hit rate.
  
• SPD: Speed. Still thinking on whether this impacts turn order or evasion, but probably the latter since I've never been that fond of the former since I never end up getting a feeling for who goes in what order...
  
• TEC: Technique. TEC decides whether or not additional effects occur from skills that have said effects. For example, an attack debuff will always work, but a skill that has the potential to inflict an attack debuff will always have a TEC% chance of doing so.
  
• LUCK: Luck effects the likelihood of dealing a critical hit and the likelihood of evading one. Basically, the formula for crits would be Your Luck - Foe's Luck. I might switch TEC and LUCK around, though, since technique sounds more like a critical thing and making extra effects take effect sounds more like a luck thing...
  
• MOV: How many spaces a unit can move, ranging from 3 to 8.
  

And finally, the status effects! Higher resistances mean the character is more resistant to that specific element:

• Paralyze: Target can't move, use positioning skills, or use melee attacks. SPD reduced to 1.
  
• Poison: Target takes damage every turn, either 10% or modified by the user's TEC/LUCK stat???
  
• Solidify: Like petrification, but also refers to things like being frozen, etc. The target is unable to act or move. SPD is reduced to 1, but DEF and RES are raised by 50% or so.
  
• Sleep: Target can't act or move, SPD is reduced to 1, and DEF and RES are reduced by 50% or so... but they'll wake up upon being moved or attacked and restore 10% or so of HP & SP per turn. Recovery might be altered by the same stat Poison is if I go that route??
• Curse: Target takes damage to SP every turn, either by 10% or modified like with Poison.
• Fury: Target's ATK & MAG increased by 100% but DEF, RES, and ACC are reduced by 50% or so and the target may deal damage to themself instead.
  
• Seal: Target cannot use special skills.
• Dread: Target's ATK & MAG are lowered by 50% and the target may refuse to act.
• Charm: The target will use healing and support skills on foes and move toward the inflictor.
• Panic: The target will act randomly under AI control, potentially attacking allies or themself.
  

And that's that! I might alter the link in people's bios to lead to here for now, but as you can see I still have a few things to figure out before I go out and make a big official post describing everything. I also have to go back and edit Anthuria and Flann's profiles to reflect the removal of CHR but I should probably do that after I figure the other things out...
