hello friends it is time to be informed about your iso

FIRST THINGS FIRST as you may have noticed I have been very... not active. Like I've mentioned before I think in some bulletin or another, an old friend group of mine got together so a lot of my time I'd spend browsing here or other websites is now spend chatting with friends and maintaining RP activity. Also doesn't help that I've been unexpectedly busy with school stuff this semester, have life stuff on top of that (getting kicked out on August 1st so I need to have my entire life put together by then oops,) and keep sleeping in until like 3 PM every day.

Toyhouse isn't the only site I've been neglecting - you should see my poor dA notifications - but it's probably the one I feel the worst about neglecting since I dig people's OCs and I used to try and be a relatively active member of the community!! Now I pretty much just check in to see if people who owe me things have PM'd me about them yet or not and if there are any urgent bulletins I should check out... I haven't even been bumping my trade/resale thread or the Generator Freebie Bin! I still have so much stuff I need to read and get back to people about, both profiles and writing things and it's like aaaaAAAAaaaaAaAAAaa ya feel me!!!!!!

So on that note, the next thing! The Toyhouse update!

With respect to images, I'll be going through and editing my multi-character images soon, probably, maybe... I might just do it as I update peoples' profiles or visit them for whatever reason. Doing it all at once sounds kinda painful because getting images to have thumbnails w/o watermarks on them while still having the full image be watermarked requires a lot of finagling and I'm wayyyyy too lazy to do that with dozens of images right now.

As for update notifications, I'll be making use of those! BUT I'll still be making bulletins, posting new/updated people in the proper threads, so on and so forth for visibility's sake. As for update notifs for other people, I've gone through and disabled image notifications for everyone I follow. I really want to still see images, but so many get uploaded on a regular basis that my character notifications shoot up to the hundreds within a day and I never end up actually checking anything. So, I'm hoping that with this I'll finally start actually looking at my character notifications since I'll just be seeing newly-uploaded characters and updates!

I think that's pretty much everything! Still hoping to crank out some character profiles at some point, but I dunno. I've been super occupied and I'm not really confident that's going to change, and I might end up deleting all of my backlog instead of trying to play catch-up. Everything's just a big I Dunno in life right now so not making any promises about anything, but I'd really like to be more active!!

After a bajillion years, I finally have a new profile complete that isn't just converting someone over to a new profile layout!! Check her out here! She was adopted from Caine and is part of his Vetehi species!

Still working on the stats thing (AKA I haven't started it yet because I forgot oops and I'm thinking over my stats...) so that "link" is still a lie, but otherwise everything's good to go! Hopefully I'll get on that stats thing soon, but between school and staying caught up on RP stuff I'm super behind on a lot of things... I actually deleted all of my post notifications recently because I was so behind, so I'll have to go through that one character profile thread and try and find stuff!! But basically I'm taking the hardest class of my major right now and for some reason I volunteered to host a study group for my Italian class, so things have been kind of hectic and I haven't gotten as much done at school as I was hoping!

I'm starting to get into the swing of things now, though, so hopefully I'll finish that one worldbuilding post and more bios and the stats explanation thing and stop being so behind on every website ever!! School is hard.

also don't forget all images have alt text. petting ocs on the head is important!

OOOOOOOOOOOOH i am SO excited folks!!!!! it took me like most of yesterday and today, but i finally finished tweaking this layout i bought to my liking!! check out flann's profile to see it! i decided to go with her since her old profile was broken, but she has so much info that i could test if my huge amount of html put me over the character limit that i assume exists. everything looks pretty good to me, so i hope you'll all enjoy seeing this layout from now on!

the main issues i see are that there are some little glitches in the comments and image descriptions (a lot of things have black bars next to them which i could probably fix but man i just don't feel like working on coding anymore alright) and for some people i've asked the bottom of the content box and the bottom of the tag box (shout-out to Nonstop for that idea btw) don't line up... it does for me on chrome but not on firefox, and it also lines up properly for all but one of my friends so ???? not really sure how to fix that since i dunno what the error is

so the main changes content-wise to this layout compared to my previous layout:

• Unique basic table things (like sin class for Hell College characters) have been moved to a table in trivia, as has the list of where people have appeared.
  
• No more tabs aside from ones for alternate forms and whatnot! I love those things, but they don't play nice with the new layout.
  
• Because of that, game stats are gone because we have a FEH thread on my friends' RP forum and thats all I really care about alright i love associating ocs with things
  
• RP History has been combined into Backstory, getting its own section at the bottom. Forum Posts is gone because they're a pain to keep track of and discourage me from posting in forum games, Settings is gone since I'm hoping to make myself work on Worlds or at least make folder descriptions, and as for Writing... I'd love to keep that around, but there's just not a good place to put it, I'd have to do more coding, and I'm hoping the staff will Finally make writing submissions a thing since they've mentioned they've been working on it!
  
• Likes & Dislikes are under Personality now.
  
• There's a neat little table in Abilities now!
  
• The Stats section is entirely new, based on stat stuff of my own creation! I've planned enough to be making a video game without actually making a video game, so I'm hoping to get a thread up in a World somewhere explaining everything within the next week! Some things are obvious, but some of the stats and resistances might not be, not to mention that the species and elements and whatnot exist in a void without any context of what this theoretical game would use them for!
  
• All quotes have been removed aside from alt text, which is on every image in the profile! I might figure out coding for them and add them back in somewhere or another, but... effort..... things are hard........... I do like having quotes though So

Flann's profile itself hasn't been changed outside of adding the new things and cutting out other things (though I've backed everything up just in case,) so if you've already read it then give a skim over the new sections! It's basically just a page that lists a whole bunch of mini-bios for my adopted characters who don't have full profiles yet. I've always been uncomfortable with not having them uploaded somewhere to prove that I own them and am using them, so I feel like this resolves the problem nicely! No having a bunch of empty profiles lying around, but also no having to keep them all hidden for who knows how long and making their creators wonder what became of them!

The mini-bios contain the character's avatar, alt text, a link to their tag on my OC blog, their creator, the date I obtained them, and a little paragraph that summarizes their character and story. I hope they'll be fun to read and be interesting to anyone who created the designs I adopted!

I'm going to work on uploading all of their images since when I make their profile proper I can just link them to the profile and de-link them from the waiting room, and I might delete my empty bios and back them up on my storage account or something. So apologies in advance for the upcoming image spam, and it might be spread out over a day or two as I figure out how to organize things!

SO I wanted to wait until I finished that one demon worldbuilding post I mentioned in my last bulletin, but I've just been kinda working on it on and off so I'm not really sure when I'll finish it! But I do still have two worldbuilding posts complete, so I decided I might as well point out their existence instead of just mentioning them next to a much larger post! Both of these posts are fairly short, so give 'em a skim!:

1)  The first one is an overview of the holidays in the world of Asthenopia! These were a lot of fun to come up with! Thinking about holidays is one of my favorite worldbuilding things, because you gotta think about why they would even have holidays at all... and also find ways to squeeze in equivalents of our own holidays so you can still totally have a Christmas special. Thinking of things for Asthenopia was particularly interesting since the place is openly ruled over by angels, so I had to think about how most holidays have something of a religious slant and how things have changed in the years since one particular bad egg has been seeking more power.

2)  The second one is a general setting overview of RPG Hell! It doesn't really seem like it since I have so few characters from the universe uploaded here, but RPG Hell is one of my favorite settings/stories and the one I've been putting the most thought into lately! It's just super fun to think about and flesh out, and it's increasingly becoming most of my fleshed-out settings, especially in relation to its size! My other most fleshed-out world is only the size of a city with a sub-100 population, so y'know... Also, if you haven't checked out the story I wrote recently that takes place in the setting you totally should!!

Both of the forums those threads are posted in have a question/comments board that's open to posts if you ever have any questions, comments, or requests for info that you'd rather ask there than in an announcement bulletin or PM!

Apologies in advance for any weird spacing... copypasting things into the WYSIWYG editor adds a bunch of random spaces for reasons I can't comprehend, but using the normal editor means I have to add in a bunch of coding and it's so much faster to just format things with WYSIWYG... it doesn't make things too weird-looking, though, just some random spaces here and there!

Also any Charahub links in those are super ancient and haven't been touched since like 2015 at latest, but I still linked them when needed since those link to my OC blog tags anyway and still have Some relevant information even though they're all just WIPs!

the inspo behind the story was me writing a big ol' worldbuilding post about demons in rpg hell, and i've been making a lot of worldbuilding posts in general! so i might get off my lazy buns and make some worlds here for me to copypaste said worldbuilding posts since it'd be nice to share them w/ everyone here! i know you guys wanna know all about demon thermophysiology and a bunch of holidays i made up am i right folks

Some are only dropped by a buck and others have their costs split almost in half (I pretty much just went with rounding down to numbers i found more pleasing tbh,) but all but one (which is already super cheap) of my resales are on sale! Keep in mind I'm also willing to haggle on things if they're just out of your price range and I'm also willing to do holds!

so in other news uhhhhhhhh I sure haven't been active around here, huh. Ever since one of my friend groups got back together I've been so occupied by ~friendship~ and ~relatively active roleplaying, really anything is more active than the old 4 posts a year which is barely hyperbole~ and whatnot that I've neglected Toyhouse a lot...

I've had more than enough time to get my template set up to start using it and more than enough time to finish that adoptable mini-bio listing I mentioned in my last bulletin, but I got caught on something in the former that I don't know how to get around and can't ask for help with bc it's CSS I paid for and the latter I'm still only maybe 2/3 of the way through at best... I'm not a lady of many spoons and now that I have a lot of RP threads I need to reply to (i am in almost literally Every Thread on the dang forum which isn't even slightly hyperbole) I spend pretty much all of my writing juice on keeping RP activity up.

If I ever get my sleep schedule under control and wake up when the sun is up and not during The Oppressive Seasonal Depression Hours I'll probably be more productive. I really do want to get more profiles up and read profiles more often instead of having an entire window dedicated to my backlog!! BUT yeah that's why I've been super inactive!

...Well, I say that, but I still check in all the time and read through all of my subscribed threads and bump my resale thread... it's kinda weird how you can look super inactive on a site by never posting or commenting or faving things but still check it every half hour.
