Now this is an investigator Jackson doesn't mind sniffing around his crime scenes. He would sometimes purposefully cause mischief just to see that beauty now and again, but it all changed when he stumbled upon someone with a golden arrow sticking out of them. Next thing he knows, the person gets back up like nothing, and there's something... something he can't quite see but knows is serious! And it's like Ron over there knows all about it! Just what is going on?? Well hey, if it's a reason to stick around him more, he'll put up with this invisible magic show! But it's one hell of a bizarre adventure.
A thief that for the most part Ronald would've like to keep away from. Of course, life couldn't be easy like that, and Jackson had to run into a fellow with a Stand Arrow sticking out of his chest. Ron had hoped the man would stay down, but alas he wasn't so lucky. Now Jackson, despite still being unable to see stands and anything related to them, has begun to tag along after this whole fiasco began. It most certainly is bizarre, but one can only hope that Jackson doesn't get himself killed on this adventure.
As much fun as Tori has wrecking havoc, he's gotten tired of being sealed in a mask. Cerys is a powerful mage, he KNOWS she's capable of freeing him. That little so-and-so WON'T, for some reason! It's driving him insane!
She truly can't fully fathom what kind of curse that kitsune has landed himself in. He insists on results now, while Cerys is still trying to sort out what exactly is going on. If he only gave her the time, the scientist is sure she could get him all sorted out... hopefully for the right price at least.
This friggin'...! Somehow, someway, Tamako is ALWAYS in Jackson's way! When he's trying to steal a wallet, when he's trying to hide from the law, when he's trying to take a yacht! And this guy is always insinuating the worst about him! Like he's some kind of thief! The nerve!
This man is a thief, Tamako would exclaim if ever given a chance to bring Jackson to court. He is completely certain that anything that goes missing, be it his own item or someone else's, is the faulting of Jackson and he will consistently blame him for it. There aren't many people who make his hair stand and fluff up like a small, yappy dog, but Jackson manages to do it. He came to steal his clothes and Tamako knows it! He's no good!
Adelaide has a wonderful energy and Smiley fully supports it! He's not quite sure what her job is, exactly, but if it makes her happy then who is he to get in her way? He hopes she can spread that happiness, and he's always willing to help, whether by lending an ear or teaching her friends how to paint!
[friends!] Addie looooves Smiley! He is always so nice and positive, it's hard not to be happy around him. She even painted one of her masks with a smile after he pointed out how sad they look otherwise (and he was right, of course, she just never thought about that... how silly of her). Weirdly enough, even if it isn't entirely similar they at least both have the general idea of helping people feel better, by their own means. Honestly, after everyone left she never thought she'd find another friend like... that, so she is very grateful to have met Smiley - he's nicer than all of them anyway!
Evangeline is... everything Zack has ever wanted. She is beyond adorable, with that bubbly attitude that could melt the coldest heart, to her fuzzy ears that always twitch at the cutest moments. He loves to be around her, he loves everything about her. Someone as pure as her, though, she's not scared of someone like him, is she?
Zack is such a sweet guy and Evie feels her heart flutter whenever they meet! Finding people where conversations are just as pleasant as sitting in silence is rare and she is happy to have found someone like that with him. Of course he is also very handsome... and the way he carefully takes care of his animals is just adorable! They really seem to love him and Evie entirely trusts their judgment. Being scared of him would not ever occur to her.
Vika scares the living daylights out of Hopper. Just look at her! She's loud and strong and violent! Danger must follow her everywhere! As scary as she is, though, she doesn't seem to want to hurt him? He very timidly stays around her, both out of his own curiosity for what her motive is, and fear over what would happen if he didn't stick around.
Hopper is such a weird guy... he worries so much about everything and everyone and is probably convinced a bumblebee flying too close to him has it out for him or something. Vika really doesn't understand how he can even live his life like this, that seems so tiring! And surely he isn't THAT weak, is he? Well, he's a good enough guy and he has been nice to her (even if just out of fear), Vika likes him! She's even a bit protective of Hopper, for better or for worse. Now if only he could stop suspecting her of trying to rob him or something... she's moved past that!
An undead woman, you don't see that everyday! That's what caught Cameron's curiosity at first, but he quickly grew fond of Lola. The way she'd respond to his teases was always so fun, but there's just something about her that's so cute, too! He likes spending time with her and wouldn't mind skipping work to do just that!
Cameron... uh... he was kind of annoying at first, always so cheerful like some weird walking sunshine person but he just kept coming back and as much as she tried to, she couldn't bring herself to dislike him. None of his teasing was ever mean spirited (which instantly made him better than a lot of people she had met in the past), if anything it was flattering? Another thing that she didn't quite understand. That was not the usual response she got from people... She still doesn't know what to make of Cameron but she may just have developed a bit of a crush on that guy. Oops.
[He is looking hungrily] Allegro had heard a lot about Valerion and was delighted to finally be able to meet him one day. It was everything he'd planned and more. Valerion was well-spoken and knowledgable over countless topics, making for delightful conversation; they had many similarities he felt comfortable discussing; and the best part, Valerion was quite attractive. Allegro visited very often, more so than he did with others, and he always enjoyed seeing the other prince wrestle with his feelings.
[(totally just) friends] While he was a bit unsure about Allegro in the beginning the other quickly became a dearly beloved friend to him. They are somewhat in the same boat, share similar views about monarchy and they even both have a younger brother roaming the world on his own (though one more voluntarily than the other, of course). It's nice to be able to talk to someone without having to keep up appearances or having to watch every single word and someone who understands, of course... to his own surprise he finds himself at peace whenever Allegro is around, something Valerion didn't even think would be possible, given how guarded he usually is. At some point he stopped questioning the other's sudden appearances and has come to embrace them, he would probably need a break anyway, right? The more confusing part is him getting flustered at certain comments and the need to be a bit.. closer. He might just have fallen for Allegro without noticing, even if he is still trying to rationalize it. (Which isn't going all too well...)
En felt some kind of sympathy around Lior, with both of them being younger siblings to powerful royals. He's a little envious of the elf, though, because it feels like Lior handles it all better and with so much more grace. Yet En can't be mad at him, only admires him. He enjoys spending time around him and finds it to be one of the best ways for him to relax from the daily stress of work. His feelings are strong, but he hopes he doesn't scare Lior away.
Lior has gotten used to encountering a lot of things on his travels, even unexpected ones, though falling head over heels for someone was not on the list of said things. Perhaps because he would usually run from it, but he found himself bumping into En wherever he went and in all honesty, he couldn't entirely stay away either. How could such a dearly beloved, warm and kind person with such a busy schedule even bother to make time to spend with him of all people? It was probably selfish, but Lior began looking forward to their meetings, no matter how brief or long they would end up being. So much so that now he visits En anytime he can and he actually likes to stay for a bit. He still feels bad about stealing his time, but slowly (finally) the elf is beginning to understand that maybe, just maybe, the feelings are mutual and En actually doesn't mind his presence all that much.
To have the name Zero? It doesn't make sense to Ennette! Especially when he's so much more than that! She dubbed him... One! Because he's number one... not in... not in a l-love kind of way, j-just... One!
He does not quite understand Ennette's issue with Zero, but since he isn't particularly attached to any name - or lack thereof - he is fine with whatever she chooses to call him. One, or rather her reasoning, seems sweet and it's the first time in a long time that someone decided to give him a new name, so he cherishes it. All that aside, he has come to look forward to meeting Ennette again, she is such a kind person and he always enjoys the conversations they have.
[Lovers] Terry knew Alena from her being the school's nurse. With how sick he constantly is, they practically make time for each other every day for recovery. Alena's always been so sweet and helpful, though, never irritated with him.
Someone was beautiful and kind like her, though, it was obvious to Terry that she would rather have eyes for literally any other staff members at school that was younger, better looking, and all around better. Imagine his surprise when she said yes to a date.
He still feels like she's WAY out of his league, but he likes being around her. She balances out his pessimism.
[Lovers] Prior to meeting Terry, Alena did not feel an attraction of any sort towards other people. All it took was a couple of visits from the exhausted man for the nurse to become interested in Terry, and then the interest turned into a full-on crush. She was absolutely enamored with the teacher, who allowed her to take care of him whenever he wasn't feeling well. She found that really cute and couldn't wait to go to school because of him. When he asked her out on a date, she felt something throb in her chest, an unfamiliar sensation that practically forced her to say "yes" with excitement. At long last, she could be with Terry! She could finally have him all to herself....
"It would be an honor to die by your hand."
Where NV is full of doubts and insecurity, Jordyn is nothing but confidence and wit. It is because of this stark difference that they vie for her attention and praise. Several times she has tried to harm them, and each time they have willingly walked into a trap, coerced by such warm words, even if each one was drenched in poison. Even now they are aware they are only an object in her eyes, but to be by her side, they feel, is an honor. Perhaps being so close to her will give them a glimpse of how to be confident and strong.
"Did you miss me, love?"
Jordyn views NV as a great power. In equal measure as they are dangerous, they are also inherently useful. The serpent god has a very utilitarian view on her relationships with others, and her relationship with NV is a bit of a gamble... but this time, she decided to bet on herself. Though she does not trust the sin themselves, she does trust in her own ability to control others; especially those as vulnerable as NV. As a result, they will find themselves on the receiving end of her favor, her attention and affections guiding their actions towards her own twisted desires.
Austin was one of the few people that didn't shoo Dragon off or seemed bothered by him. In fact, he was very welcoming and even encouraged him to stay for a while. He's always been so nice too, always friendly and willing to play games with him. Honestly, Dragon's never really known what it's like to have a family, but he feels like with Austin he can understand.
Another one of Austin's rare guests. He can't help but feel the strong need to look after Dragon. Perhaps this feeling had originated from the utter despair he had experienced from the loss of his family. The cowboy often finds himself treating Dragon like his own son, determined to provide him with the love and care he deserves. In Austin's eyes, he is no monster. He is a sweet boy with a big heart that the world didn't deserve, but needed.
Now, Roy's always been convinced that he's a straight man... Maybe. I-I mean, it's hard NOT to question things when Aldrik's right there! That-That didn't sound weird, did it?
R-Regardless, Roy treasures his friendship with Aldrik and is glad to have a place he can come to when the world is pushing back on him.
Aldrik always finds himself questioning his sexuality whenever Roy comes around. He assumed it was just an intense admiration at first, but soon realized he saw Roy as a man. Er a guy. No, a very very good close friend who...just happened to be a man. A very handsome one at that.
Like hundreds of years later and these lads still gay no homo
Still a very handsome guy FRIEND. No homo.
Arm and Cor are similarly powerful demons with a similar background of caring for someone that was stolen from them. He's aware of how Cor has coped, though he doesn't think it's necessarily correct. What IS correct, though, is not something he can answer, either.
Both are ancient demons with rivaling powers and tragic backstories. Both had been touched by a human's compassion, only for them to be ripped away from them. Cor, however, actively works to make the world better. He thinks Arm is now nothing more than a dog with a tail stuck between his legs.
NV's a freak in Jet's eyes. They weren't even meant to be a Sin in the first place, so why they stay as one is beyond him. One thing's for sure, though, they're not allowed in ANY of the stores he owns, and that goes a hell of a lot beyond just casinos. Too bad that freak steals faces, it's hard to tell just who's who sometimes.
NV admires Jet's self-preservation. To sell one's own brother takes an incredible amount of resolve, and it only made his life for the better. They wish they could have that same strength. It's a shame he won't let them around him to study him.
[Employer] He'd seen her drop to her lowest point in her home's own lowest point. The emptiness she felt, surrounded by all the bitter emotions he'd created, seemed like the perfect vessel for insatiable Wrath. Lan believes it was a wise choice giving her that volatile Sin, and that she's done well to control it while also subtly spreading its influence.
Loretta will always be grateful to Lan. In her moment of deepest sorrow and rage, a time when she thought that she had nothing left to live for, he gave her back her power. He gave her back her dignity. When on the stage, she never gave less than 100% of herself, and she will continue to do so in her new position.
[Employer] Once Lan was gone it was Khaso's turn to manage the Sins, including Wrath. She's sweet and kind... on the outside. He knows full well she's not someone to intimidate.
Even he admits that she's incredibly beautiful, but that's more of a problem for his poor lovestruck son, so Khaso comes by frequently to make sure she's setting up boundaries for En. These visits always end the same way, though: a mini-therapy session with him stress-eating donuts while talking about a certain knight.
Khaso tickles her so, so similar to Lan and yet so uniquely his own person. She is acutely aware of his son's crush on her, and tries her best to brush off his clumsy advances. In return, she gets to hear all about his exploits, whether he's aware of the entertainment it brings her. She'll be ready with the donuts.
Loretta is everything NV wishes they could be: beautiful, strong, skilled, loved. They hate her for it, they admire her for it, and they fear her for it. They want to be her so badly, but for the sin of Envy, the idea of rumors spreading about them to influence people to hate them is perhaps their biggest fear, so they keep a distance around her all the time.
NV triggers a sort of maternal instinct within Loretta, and the exact reason for that she can't pinpoint. Maybe because as an actress, envy was a feeling she knew most closely...? She knows their complicated feelings around her, so she doesn't push. Still, she leave them some sweets if they ever want some.
Jet's aware of Loretta's feelings towards him, she doesn't hide it and even if she did, he's seen enough poker games to read through the best of poker faces. He doesn't care whether she approves of his past or not. They're Sins, none of them are using their powers for good.
Loretta already has disdain for the idea of the sin of Greed, being what caused her fall in the first place. Knowing of Jet's betrayal of his brother, however, makes her blood boil. She makes no moves to hide her disgust.
Oh, but Loretta is SO much fun to tease! He loves to laze around in her bakery and tease her while seeing her face frozen in place all the time. Sometimes he'll egg on the hopeless romantics at her store to go on and get her gifts and admit their love to her, then grabs himself a coffee to watch the fireworks.
The only time he finds himself getting serious, though, is when Alcott is involved. He can't say he particularly approves of her ideas for him.
If she could chase him out of her shop with a broom like an animal, she would. Nikolai causes nothing but trouble around her bakery, and yet for some reason she keeps letting him come and get his coffee. Old habits die hard, she supposes, reluctantly referring to him as "friend". She knows he doesn't like her "helping" Alcott, but she has her own goals to fulfill, with or without his approval
Loretta seems like a sweet woman, and it matches her shop. What intrigues him the most, though, is how she knows his brother-- or more importantly, how she also dislikes him for what he'd done. At first Alcott had thought to move on, but with her ideas... maybe he can get proper closure...
When she first met Alcott, she felt a kinship between them. Both betrayed in brutal ways by those they gave everything for. Even if she uses her powers just a bit, would it not be for the best if Alcott could settle the score with his brother?
[Love Interest] Penny is normally someone Owen would despise: loud, peppy, privileged. Somehow, though, she wormed her way into his attention. She actually LIKED the stories he wrote. That... That meant something.
[Love Interest] Penny is extremely picky about the company she keeps, but Owen genuinely interests Penny. His writing is really good and she likes hearing about his characters. Even if they bicker sometimes or he's a bit too edgy for his own good, Penny wants to stick around him (plus he knows too much about her Vtuber career he's legally not allowed to stop being her friend at this point)
