Schlegeli (Beckett Boag)

Basic backstory

Beckett is on of the most popular bakers in Windwall. She is busiest around the lantern holiday where she can be found constantly making gingerbread lanterns and many different sweets to put inside of them. She puts her whole self into cooking and has a contagious smile when she cooking. When not doing this she is advertising her Emperor Lanterns for those in town who normally wouldn't celebrate the holiday. Although some Guiding Lights aren't to keen on this practice, the Historians love it and every year will hire her to build the largest gingerbread she can for a party at the base of the wall.

Full Backstory

Beckett was born and raised in Windwall and from a very young age fell in love with the smells and the calm, happy feeling that floated around during the Foristeri's lantern festival. She would help her father drop off the baked goods to the Guiding Lights houses and on occasion they would let her hang around. As she got old enough to help her father with the cooking in his bakery she wanted to bring the feeling and good food to those around town that weren't part of the Guiding Lights so she suggested celebrating the Foristeri's lost emperor during this time to those who normally didn't celebrate it. This idea quickly caught on causing many Animalian around town to start celebrating the holiday.

This boom in business caused her fathers little bakery to explode with busness quickly causing them to become the most popular place to buy goods from during the season, and even off season. Although Beckett never got the hang of decorating the detailed designs for the desserts that the towns folk always wanted, her father was more then happy to handle that as she worked on making better, more tasty recipes. One year the Historians came to their little bakery and ordered the largest gingerbread lantern they could make as well as, as many desserts they could fit inside it. They then through a large celebration with it all night long with many visitors to the town taking part in the sweets feast and listening to the stories about the Foristeri's long lost emperor. The historians came back every year after that to order another lantern from them and it is a challenge she looks forward to taking on every year. To many around town she became a kind of celebrity and cheer bringer of the holiday, however there are a number of Guiding Light members who ignore and shun her for the alteration she made to their holiday.

Beckett tries not to think about the Guiding Light members that don't like her. She often tells herself they are just gelouse that they now have to share the holiday but deep down she knows there is more to it. Her mom who is the main cook for the Guiding Lights will often try to explain how some of the members feel about what she did, but her father will quickly cut her mom off when she does stating that many of the funds they get from cooking during the holiday season are what pays for the food the mother cooks for the Guiding Lights. The tension between her parents on this topic often makes her stressed and when she is stressed the only thing that relaxes her is cooking. In recent years when they argue she has taken to cooking little lanterns for the GL light members as a way to try to ease her worry and stress and although some of the members she gives them to thank her for them with a smile, a few never open their door to her.

Beckett also has a strong connection with a Vulpes named xxxxxx. He is the delivery Animalian for Windwall and is often traveling far to bring goods back into the town. When he drops off the ingredients her fathers bakery needs she will often bring him one of her baked goods. She started doing this as a kid as her father said it was always good to stay on the good side of the one bringing you your ingredients as if they liked you they would always bring back the best materials and for her the only way she knew to really thank people was to give them things she cooked. Although at first she did it because her father told her to, eventually she started doing it on her own as she enjoyed spending time with the always happy Vulpes. When he comes into tow the two will talk about everything that has happened within the city while he was gone. His unending happiness and cheer always lifts her spirits and makes her feel as happy as she is when she is cooking. Although she enjoys being around him, their friendship is just platonic as the two seem to be content with just being friends.

Call to Adventure

1) If a player character wishes to play as Beckett her call to adventure could consist of her wanting to figure out what her own subspecies traditions are and so ventures out to experience them herself as well as other ones along the way in hopes that she can better  understand why some find it so important.

2) alternatively she could have grown board with the normal ingredients that her fathers bakery uses and wants to find something new and fresh for her gingerbread recipe so she ventures out into the world to find something that will enhance her cooking game.

Outfit
main outfit | She can often be found wearing a green puffy dress with white ruffles on the bottom and a yellow cardigen on top. Under her dress she wears brown leggings with little black shoes. Around her waist a half apron is tied that has a small pocket on it and its not uncommon for the apron to have a few smudges of what she was last cooking on it. A green scarf is wraped around her neck with a gingerbread lantern pin holding it together. She often decorates her crest with gingerbread lanterns, mint candy and all other manner of holiday sweets. These decorations are actually made out of wood rather then real treats, but its hard to tell that from a distance.
