Fulvius ( Harlequin Coral) (Zim Abaddon)

Zim is an eccentric circus ring leader who loves to make shows that make others smile. When asked why he does this, he will often say that it's just in his nature to want others to be happy, but if you prod farther into him, you will see that there is so much more to it. The smiles and laughter he gets from a crowd give him much more than a happy feeling inside, so it is best to stay clear of him.

Zim's early life wasn't ideal as his father was the town drunk who only ever seemed to laugh and enjoy anything when he was deep under the liquor influence. His mother did her best to keep things afloat, but whenever anything started to go somewhat smoothly, his father would poke his tongue into things and mess everything up for all of them, be it by trying to kiss his mom's boss to accidentally burning down their new home.

No matter what happened, they just couldn't get a break until one day, his dad somehow fell off the top of a windmill and died as he hit the blades coming down. As soon as this happened, Zim and his mother's life suddenly improved. His mom was able to keep down a job, and the two could enjoy life and be happy without having to worry about his father getting in the way.

Now with the funds and time to do more fun things, Zim and his mom were able to do things they had never been able to do. With this new freedom, one of the first things Zim's mom did was take him to the circus, and he fell in love. Everyone there always seemed so happy, both the performers and the guests. This mixed with the bright lights and amazing smells, made the place feel like paradise to him. The family of two started to regularly go to the nearby circus, so much so that they became good friends with many of the performers, with even a few of them showing Zim how to do some of their tricks. He would have spent every waking hour there if he had it his way.

However, it was only a year or two before things started to go bad again for Zim. His mom became very ill, causing her to lose her job and many Animalian to isolate them in fear of catching whatever she had. They quickly started to burn through the last of their savings, and although Zim tried to find ways to make money, there was little he could do when they were eventually thrown out on the street. 

Then one cold day his mother surprised him with a ticket to the circus. She gave it to him with a weak smile and told him to go on his own. Without hesitation, he took it and spent the day at the circus trying to forget his troubles. Eventually, he had to return to the place where he and his mother slept. However, when he got there he found his mother dead. It appeared as if she had fallen, or perhaps jumped, from a nearby rooftop and snapped her neck on impact.

Unsure where else to go, Zim ran back to the circus as the performers there were the only other adults he knew. Hearing about what had happened to his mother the group of traveling performers instantly took him in telling him they could stay with him where he would be safe and warm. He was shocked by the offer but instantly took them up on it. After all the circus was his haven, his safe space, and now he had been given permission to live there. 

He enjoyed every minute of living with the circus, even the most mundane chores made him smile. As the years passed, he even was able to have a place in the performance as a clown. He loved being on stage, not because of the admiration of the crowd, but because of the smiles and laughs he created. He knew what it meant to have a place where you felt free to laugh and be happy and felt proud to be part of making that place for others.

As he started to become an adult, the circus fell on hard times. Some of the actions the ringmaster/ leader of the circus had done in an attempt to keep them afloat backfired, and now they were really starting to struggle. They needed to do something quickly in order to survive. Zim was trying to figure out what he could do to help them when a wild thought struck him. In his life, things had always started to get better after someone had died. It was a wild idea, but perhaps the person giving up their life had been what caused the positive things to happen.

With this new realization and the justification that this was their last operativity to save the circus Zim decided that the ringmaster would be the one to give his life. After all, he was old and had been the Animalian that had gotten them into this mess in the first place. So late one night when the ringmaster was alone adjusting some of the high wires Zim snuck up on him and shoved him off the small ledge he had been on, causing the ringmaster to tumble to the ground and instantly die on impact.

Although most of the other performers were shocked at the sudden death of their leader most thought that it was likely done at the ringmaster's own hand as things may have gotten to much for him to handle. Saddened, they thought nothing more of it and tried their best to move on. Before long, things once more started to get better. The old ringmaster's crazy ideas were no longer being followed and the circus once more started to thrive. 

This was the turning point for Zim. To him, he had proved his theory right. In order to keep joy and happiness in the world and around him the universe demanded sacrifices.

From that point on whenever things would go bad, he would find someone in the circus crowd or one of his fellow performers to sacrifice. To him, this would bring joy and happiness back into the world so it was always worth the sacrifice. If the sacrifice didn't work then he would chalk that up to him messing it up somehow. Through trial and error he came to the conclusion that the sacrifice had to fall from a tall height and a special song and dance he came up with had to be done for it. The sacrifice also worked best if the one who was dying didn't cry during it, but that rarely seemed to happen.

By killing off his competition in the circus group he has now made his way to the ringmaster position and is the one running the circus. There are a few of his fellow performers who know what he does, but they do nothing about it and even aid him from time to time for fear that he will pick them to be his next target if they do not. Some of them have even started to believe his weird way of thinking might be correct.

Natalie is one of the main characters in 'the legend of theFulvius's one shot and should not be used as a character if a player is taking part in that one shot. In any other game-
1) If a PC (Player Character) wishes to play as Zim they could play a chaotic evil character who goes about finding places that are struggling and tries to figure out who is the right person to sacrifice in order to bring happiness back to the towns. To him he will be doing good, but to others...not so much.
2)Alternatively his sacrifices could stop working and he must venture out to figure out why, perhaps meeting a group of adventures along the way that show him the error of his ways.

If no call to adventure is heeded then he will travel about with his circus taking out people silently till he kidnaps the wrong person causing a group of adventures to get angry. He will not sway on his beliefs and would rather die than make it so the world can't be happy. He will die defending his beliefs, ideally by falling from a high point in the circus.

Main Outfit | He wears a cream-yellow vest with a white undershirt. The undershirt has a high collar around its neck and is frilled. He has a bright red bowtie and a black cummerbund. He wears a bright red overcoat with a black lapel, collar and cuffs. The jacket also has tail coats and a golden trim around its collar and lapel as well as a golden button on the front of the jacket. He often has on white gloves and is carrying his black cane. The cane has a silver snake head on top that looks as if it's smiling with its eyes as two ribbons come out of the back of it and wind around the base of the cane. (the silver head looks similar to the comedy mask of the Fulvius legend). This same snake head that is smiling can be found as a button on the cream yellow ribbon around his black top hat.

Ideas for what you could draw him doing:
- performing as a ringmaster
-telling his entertainers to smile (could be using the 'smile' gesture with hands)
-soaking in the laughter and smiles of a crowd
-secretly and silently stealing someone from the circuses crowd
-dancing around a carousel with a crazed look in his eyes
-pulling the top of his cane to revile a sharp, poisoned pike
- poking someone with his cane that is standing at the end of a super high platform as if pushing them off

A song about how on the outside, he acts silly and looks as if he is smiling, but deep down he feels that its good that he kills people. This song may be something that he sings to someone before he sacrifices them.
