Spooky Happenings

It was a fairly windy day again, not one he wanted to go shopping in. But he had to get some candy for the trick or treaters that will be there soon. He had put this off for quite a while, unsure of what to even choose.
The large bags of candy seemed to be the best, but some of them were a little pricey or had weird things in them. A few even had offbrand candies that looked better than the name brand ones... but then he wondered if they tasted as good as they looked, or if they were just deceiving him... hm..

He stewed in his thoughts the whole car ride over to the grocery store nearby his house. Though being halloween eve, as he liked to call it, there were dozens of people in his way almost. It'd have to be a quick run for candy, and he'd have to be patient waiting in line. Ugh he hated crowds like this, especially loud ones.

Well whatever it didn't matter, he'd get some candy for himself while he was inside. A nice candy bar will defiantly make up for it, he thought. Debating what he might want, he walked inside and noticed all the brightly colored signs and displays. Some had cartoonish witches and black cats, pointing to "screaming deals!' and "ghastly savings!".
Not being too impressed by the clear begging for his money, he tried to find the aisle with the candy on it. Following the crowd of people, he eventually found those large candy bags full of whole heapings of candy. And he quickly grabbed one to get out of the mess, then a single candy bar for himself. Whatever will do at this point, he just wanted out of the corner of the store that had crying children in it.

Finally Veo made it back to his car though, and was thankful he even got his hands on some candy, hearing a woman complain inside about not finding any she wanted. Ugh that was so exhausting, now to unwind at home.
