Spooky Happenings

Veo lazily watched the other demons put up their decorations for the final day of spooky happenings. Some were just putting up yard decor like he did, some were putting up orange and purple lights around their house. And others were already done with their decorations, or just didn't bother to put up any at all.
Though it was nice to see so many neighbors get ready for a yearly occasion. Most demons were quite ecstatic about the season, and the children would die over the free candy being given out.

One very diehard neighbor seemed to be bringing out all sorts of things though. A large grim reaper that moved and probably scared children who walked up to his doorstep. Then a large scythe to go with him. It looked pretty wiggly and wobbly, so hopefully it was just a plastic weapon, but that demon has always been a little strange in his decor over the years.

Veo hasn't been living in the neighborhood for long, so he hasn't seen himself, but with all the strange charcutiers of other halloween monsters and their scary faces, he can understand where the oddity comes from. A few witches and warlocks, zombies and frankensteins, and so on are placed in their own spots leading up to the man's door.
One neighbor even goes to investigate the scythe for herself though, making sure her kids won't have access to an actual weapon. Veo can't actually hear the conversion from all the way across the street, but both parties seem a little more than angry at the assumption.

It actually makes for a funny liveblogging retelling to his friends, and once the argument is over, the scythe ends up being taken inside. With the demon it belongs to being quite upset looking, or at least pissed off a little bit. Maybe it was real... hm odd.
