Day 31: Blood

Veo knew he was having a dream, but the question to him was did he have any control over what was happening?
It didn't exactly seem so, as he began running instinctively from a large black shadow in the distance behind him. It warped and shifted strangely, and never fully caught up to him but.. it felt just behind him at any given moment. It was breathing down his neck and he almost got caught but not quite.

He couldn't physically feel being hurt in a dream of course, but his emotions were heightened for sure. The feeling he might be caught by this shadowy nobody, that hurt him more than any knife to his gut.
At least that's what he thought at first, until all of a sudden his dream was playing tricks on him. One second he was running from a monster of some sort, the next he was having wounds inflicted upon him.

Did he get caught by that thing in the distance?? Is that what was happening? Veo was very unsure of anything going on, especially as it morphed and changed over and over. Now he was at home, being asked uncomfortable questions by his parents. Not as scary as a mysterious figure chasing him he supposed, but then the questions got more intimidating and spiteful. Eventually he chose to leave the house, and drive home. The first lucid decision he's made surprisingly...

Soon after though, the dream twisted into another never ending chase scene. This time it was in his house, up the stairways, into the attic, down into the basement. And the creature, the man, whatever it was.. it was crawling through walls, stabbing him or trying to with killer reflexes. A few times it did get him, and he'd stare down in a trance-like state, staring at the gash or wound he'd received. But suddenly he woke up, groggy and hungover from last night... Mm.. maybe watching a horror movie would have been better for nightmares, weird...
