Fur Coat

Reverie stood outside, watching the snow blanket the earth and pulling her fur coat closer to her with a shiver. She was nowhere near prepared enough for this weather, to the point she had to steal a fur coat off of her new house's rack. Did it really take her being transported to such a glacial area to appreciate the heat of Hell?

Her new owner Ami seemed truly at home with the pure white land, however, as the teenager made snow angels in the yard with a huge grin on her face. The demon didn't know much about her yet, but from what she'd been able to gather from the deal, Ami lived under the constant scrutiny of her noble parents, and she wanted to enjoy a life outside of the public eye. Was this what she was like when nobody was watching?

"Madam Reverie, why are you just standing there...? Are you alright?" Ami laid on the ground, looking up to her new demon caretaker with a concerned frown. "Is the weather too much for you?"

She chuckled a bit, trying to look her kid in the eyes without falling into the snow herself. "You can just call me Rev. No need to be so formal, but... I'm alright, just more used to the heat. Besides, I don't think the fur coat would appreciate it if I played in the snow with you. Your parents are fancy with everything, after all, so I'd guess it's expensive."

"Hm, probably... but you could take it off and just get warm by the fireplace inside afterwards! It's a lovely feeling, I swear. Just join me? Please…?” Her eyes sparkled perfectly in the sunlight like a puppy begging for food.

Reverie sighed. She couldn’t believe she was falling for this, but… it was her kid, and she was just too damn cute. She put the fur coat back on its rack with a quick snap, leaving her arms free to extend as she fell backwards into the snow— right next to Ami, of course.
