Clouds and Currents - VoK & HW 2021 Event Prompts

   To the surprise of nobody, Nahia had taken full advantage of her mentor being sent off to investigate... whatever this whole thing was. By which I mean that, given half a chance, she snuck through the portal he created to the mortal realms and decided to have a little adventure of her own!
   That adventure had somehow landed her here, in front of this little winged black and white cat - A little cat, not like her or Bora, but more like... what was that silver girl's name, the one who had been sent off when she was still a cub? Amara? Regardless, Nahia now found herself before a much smaller cat than herself, and one whose similarly dark-plumed bird seemed quite happy to dive at her face given half a chance itself.
   Before she could get a word in, he was rattling off some nonsense about a club and a new member and an invitation. And as soon as it seemed like he was about to stop to breathe, he jumped over the counter, calling for her to follow him.
   "Rrrrrright," Nahia mumbled, stepping awkwardly over the counter of the booth to join him. It was very clearly cat-sized, rather than lion-sized. "So, uh, hey. Um, let me introduce myself!" she said, settling down inside the booth alongside him. "I'm Nahia, if you see a big guy with long fangs and a shaggy mane you don't know me and have never heard of me and have no idea what he's talking about, I'm not supposed to be here but you don't know that," she explained (in a manner that was definitely not suspicious, don't be ridiculous. Nahia, suspicious? I have no idea what you're talking about), "and also I have no idea what you're talking about! I literally got here..." She poked her head outside. "...Uh, yeah, maybe half an hour ago? So yeah, I'm lost. Not, like, literally, but I have no idea what any of this is." She swished her tail, but there wasn't really much... room to swish in here. "You said your name was Edward, right?"
   "No, no, Edgar!" he corrected cheerfully. "You're funny, new girl, you know that? I think you're gonna be a great addition to the club! Oh, hey, you should bring your friends next time, you seem like you'd have a lot of cool friends!"
   "...Right," she said, smiling awkwardly in response to Edgar's own wide grin. "You know! This is gonna sound stupid, but I'm just-" She tapped her paw against her head and quickly stretched it out, making a wooshing sound as she did so. "-real forgetful. I lost my invite, I wasn't sure when I was supposed to be here by, kinda can't remember what this club's all about? If you could, like, give me a refresher? That'd be super cool, I'd really appreciate it."
   She had no idea what was going on. But hey, she was here, might as well play along!
