Clouds and Currents - VoK & HW 2021 Event Prompts

   Bora wandered through the streets of town, looking for some sort of signage. He'd been at this for nearly half an hour, now, to no avail. He sighed. Very well, then. He would have to ask the locals about these fighters Allana had offered instead.
   Still, it wasn't too hard to find them - More than a few had gone peering at him from behind their windows and doors, or watched him from the alleys where they were going about their business. It made sense, he supposed - Even in the lands below, he was quite a sight to behold. He was extinct, after all. He shook that thought from his mind. And anyway, he didn't exactly have the build of a being built for life in the air. Even if he had wings and hollow bones, he doubted he would be able to fly, body structure the way it was. Even if all the residents here could fly, and he knew they couldn't, they still often had the sleek body shapes of those creatures which could.
   And so, after a minute, he came upon a cat trodding through the streets, just the same as him. His wings were small, too small to fly with, surely, but he had them regardless. And so he asked, "Excuse me, sir. Would you be able to direct me to the head of this kingdom's army? Allana directed me here to seek them out and request assistance with the situation below, but I'm afraid I wasn't given directions to their head of operations beyond 'Make your way to the sky kingdom.'"
   The tom tilted his head at the larger feline. "Oh, uh, sorry! I'm actually not from here-" he started. Then he paused. This fellow... he was a land dweller, huh? A big guy, with long fangs, and a shaggy... mane... "Oh! You must be that guy the new girl was talking-" He covered his mouth with his paws. "Wait, no, you didn't hear that!"
   The guy the new girl was...? A caw from somewhere above caught his attention. Oh. This was that Edgar boy Nahia had mentioned, he supposed. "My apologies," he said. "I didn't realize that you were the Edgar my student has been speaking of."
   That caught his attention. "Oh! So, uh, you found out about her meeting up with me?" He smiled sheepishly. "Um, please don't be too mad at her. Or at me?" Yeesh, those fangs really were big.
   Bora chuckled. "We've... mostly settled things," he assured the tomcat. "So, you're here to explore the city, I presume?"
   "Oh, yes!" Phew. He was safe... for now, at least. "Hey, would you be interested in looking around together? You were trying to meet with the head of the army or something, right? Three heads are better than one and all that?" He looked up towards the rooftops. "Right, Poe?" Somewhere up above, the raven cawed again.
   The smilodon raised an eyebrow, but then nodded. "That would be wonderful, Edgar. Thank you for your assistance."
