Your hero decides to investigate some strange crumbled rocks...inside they find some old runes. Do they try and solve them themselves? Do they break them? Ask for help translating?

Day 2B - Sky

Between her odd dreams and uncomfortable sleeping arrangements (She truly loathed this whole ground thing), Tamaya couldn't say she was quite rested by the time she awoke the next morning. Still, if she was going to be a hero, she needed to get up and do something. Ideally something that would actually help with her training to fight off the titan, when the time came.
So it was that she found herself following Bora around like a lost cub as he continued investigating this realm and its goings on, this time, following the shoreline - She got the impression he wasn't much of a swimmer, but at least the lapping of the waves was comforting to her.
"Hmm," he remarked, stopping to examine... something. "This script... Tamaya, does this look familiar to you?"
She wandered up to his side and looked around for what he was referring to. At first, she couldn't tell... but then he gestured to a weathered stone, chipped away in places and decorated with runes. She kneeled down and squinted at them. "Hmm..." She'd seen them before, and yet... "This is the same language as on the pillars of the scribe's island, right? I think?" she asked.
"I thought so." He nodded. "You aren't able to read it, are you?"
She shook her head. "I don't know if there's anyone who can. Maybe the scribe herself, but I never really asked. It might be too old even for her." Her ears drooped. "Sorry, I know that's probably not really any help. It was never something I learned. I don't know if there's any sort of translated texts you could use for a base, to try and figure it out, or even if that's a language that has letters? Like, how some languages have totally different shapes for each word, instead of every word being put together from the same basic alphabet..." She scrunched up her mouth. "If it's not an alphabet-based one, even if we had translations somewhere, that would make it harder, right? Because we'd only have whatever words were already translated to go on, and we'd have to try to guess the others based on context clues or something."
Bora raised an eyebrow. Well, even if she didn't know this language, she seemed to have a decent understanding of the concepts. "I see... I didn't expect you to know it, so don't feel the need to apologize. I'll seek out the scribe later today and see if I can probe her mind for information then," he said. "Still, you've made some good points regarding a potential translation either way. Thank you for accompanying me here."
Tamaya's ears perked up. "I did? That's... That's good to hear!" She smiled.
Not much of a hero, but she might be good for something, at least.
