Clouds and Currents - VoK & HW 2021 Event Prompts

   By the time Tamaya and Bora returned from their exploration, Nahia was just waking up.
   "Well. With that, I'm going to speak with the scribe," Bora said as Nahia rubbed her eyes. "Tamaya, I hate to ask this of you, but... would you keep an eye on that one? Try to keep her out of any further trouble?""
   "I have a-" Nahia yawned. "-name, you know."
   Tamaya nodded. "I'll... I'll keep her company," she answered.
   "That should be good enough," Bora said, and headed off.
   As their mentor stepped away, Tamaya sat down next to Nahia, who rolled over and yawned again. "Mmh... Oh, I feel like I was supposed to do something today..." she mumbled, and turned to look up at the designated hero of their group. "Hey, you don't remember what I was supposed to do, do you?"
   "Um... Stay out of trouble?"
   "No, no, besides that." She paused. "Besides, that's boring. I'm telling you, the guy just hates fun."
   Tamaya laughed. "Hmm... Oh! You mentioned something about Edgar-"
   And just like that, Nahia was on her feet. "Ah, right, I was supposed to get something!" She looked around. "I have literally no idea what he wants. I just straight up zoned out halfway through his explanation, that booth of his is so small, I could not focus." She turned to her companion. "Hey, you know him, right? What does he like?"
   "Uh... He likes shiny things, mostly?" Tamaya shrugged.
   "Wow!" Nahia exclaimed. "That's super nonspecific and really not helpful, thank you though!"
   Tamaya gave an awkward half-smile. Well, she felt useful for a little bit, at least. But with the way Nahia's eyes lit up, it seemed like she had an idea nonetheless.
   "Oh! You know what? He was looking for new members!" she said. "So! You, you can come with me, right! And we will say that you-" She pointed at Tamara. "-are the shiny new member of the scavenger thingy!"
   She laughed. "I don't think that really counts-"
   Nahia shrugged. "Look, we've got like..." She glanced at the sky. "Maybe half an hour? So unless you think we can find something actually good in that timeframe - Not to say you're not good, obviously, but, you know, an actual shiny object? - I think this is the best shot we've got."
   Oh, this would surely end well. "I'll... I'll see if there's any seaglass on the beach out south of here, just to be safe," she said. "Meet you by the booth in twenty minutes?"
   "Right! See you there!"
