Whether you rise up to the surface or sink into the darkness, you end up in the same place: the quiet expanse of the empty night sky. Only the stars and the moon are there to keep you company. It's terrifying, overwhelming, and peaceful all at once. You feel like a speck of dust in the wind, insignificant-- until you look down and see the titan below you, hardly more than a dot. This high up, it feels silly to see the titan and worry about it. It is so far away...
But you know your friends, family, allies are down there. The two cities are fighting for survival against an ancient threat. You might be able to do something, something impactful.

DIVE | PLAN | HOPE

It's your turn.

The Trial, Part Three - Night Adventures

Her plan had worked. Diving deep into the lagoon, the creature had let her go peacefully. And somehow, diving deep into the pool had led her to the other side of the coin, from the depths of the water to the starry sky above. How she was here, and how she could exist here without falling, she wasn't sure. But then again, dreams didn't always have to make sense, did they?
Regardless, Tamaya gazed down at the world far below, illuminated by moonlight. Somewhere down there... ah, yes, if she focused hard enough, she could just make it out, barely a speck in her vision. The titan that threatened to end them all was down there, facing off against her friend, and her mentor's mentor, and all the countless people whose worlds' fates were being held by the outcome of this.
She had the strangest feeling that, here, she could do something... but what? What more was there to do? She had found a plan to hold it back, with the help of both those who were looking to her as a hero and those who... were simply there, she supposed. And her place wasn't fighting the titan. It was Lorena she sought, the cause of all this. Dream or not, diving into battle against the titan wouldn't do anything to help with that.
Then, all that was left to do... was hope. Hope that, together, they would put an end to this.
And for once, she had hope. Hope enough to share with those who would risk their lives to protect this world.
She believed in them, and, finally, she believed in herself. And she wouldn't let that go again. Not after all she'd been through to come this far. She would never be the same, that little cub she never got to know before they had placed her in this role. But she would fulfill her duties regardless, and march forward when all was said and done, carving her own path in life.
She believed, now. And that was the most important part, wasn't it?
   And suddenly, something changed.
