The trees both find themselves aflame... spreading strongly, deeply, as the god of decay and goddess howl, ear shattering cries that shake the battlefield to its roots and send the soldiers reeling back to try to protect their patron. As much as Achilles and Letaba could not trust the ancients patrons and how much they hated each side. They just couldn’t stand their and watch them burn they infiltrators that had done had receded back into the shadows to hide their obvious shame of their actions of what they didn’t know would do to the patrons of this alternate realm. Letaba and Achilles made a pact they would help they would the other tree and try to get them to realize that the other was not horrible and should be destroyed. Letaba gave her mate one last nuzzle before sprinting off to assist the tree of decay. Soon Achilles was in front of the burning goddess he honestly wanted to say told you so to each side because even if he did stop one part of the flame he knew that some how both sides would be caught on fire to be destroyed for all eternity especially when the god of destruction had said he wanted the goddess to be destroyed. Why couldn’t they just balance out and love each other like Chuki Safi and Taa safi definitely would make this a whole heck of a lot easier.

Achilles grabbed vine baskets and helped pass them along to cats and lions to fling on the howling goddess. He knew that must have been horrible for her.... For both to be burned alive he couldn’t fathom the thought of why the generals for each side thought it was such a great idea. But it was definitely ironic that they both had the same plan to burn the other patron god to the ground. Achilles wondered what’s would happen to them they had to be immortal right? Was the tree just their shell? And they were just spirits that could take a form or were the actually born a tree. Everyone was frantic that the attention is so torn apart their presence isn't even registered. He continue passing bucks of water along spending the time to make sure they were fully to the be. Achilles wished Alexander was here to help but he managed to get a bad coughing spell from the smoke before grabbing more buckets.

Letaba has finally made it through the decaying land to help out there wasn’t much water and the fire had spread as the male deity was wailing in agony. She grabbed buckets that was quickly crafted and went for the only water source Achilles had told her about. It was the water source where the Warrior who was decaying was laying to rest. He would just have to forgive all of them for being so careless but they needed to get this water. Unless they could create something to stop the fire from spreading. But they only had sludgish mud and the possibility of sand if they could ever have. She feared that could catch fire too but sand sometimes helped stop the progression of fires. So watched a sand bucket tumble and smite out flames at the base so she started barking orders for sand to be brought in while she continued passing buckets of water to the animals of decay and the brainwashed champions who came from the portals. They were working day and night to fight the fires and somehow the rain pouring from the sky just wasn’t cutting the fires quick enough for the dying gods.

Soon both sides found hollow bamboo straws as a gift from the gods and started sucking the oxygen out of the air from around the area of burning bark and ground. Many Lions and cats sucked and sucked out the oxygen of the surrounding areas till little was left. Felines left and right passed out as many mud creatures died that was formed by the god. The straws burned in the flames and Letaba was the last one standing it seemed like as her lungs burned in agony from the smoke and oxygen inhalation from the battle of the brigades. Letaba continued running to find her mate through the thickening rain drops. Not many cats were still up and at it again. Many stopped with sucking the oxygen out of the air. She continued sprinting and saw her mate still up and at it fighting with water, sand, pelts and galore. Letaba trotted over coughing and choking on her own air,“Achilles!” She called putting feebly to him hoping and praying he would just hear her call. Letaba called out once again to him as he didn’t hear her first feeble calls. Then it all went woozy for her and she collapsed in a small ball.

Achilles couldn’t hear his mate over the sloshing of water and massive buckets splashed against the goddess guardians branches. He then heard a collapse and it wasn’t from the tree he whipped around quickly to see who it is. Achilles ran over and tossed his hot helmet off his head gently. He nuzzled his mate to wake up and felt his chest shudder softly for breath. “Letaba.... Letaba my love?” Achilles said softly while nuzzling her cheek fluff to wake her up. He felt tears run down his fast as more and more collapsed from the lack of air. Achilles gasped for air softly and then collapsed curled up around her tightly. Achilles had passed out alongside the other champions. The champs had fallen but the trees hadn’t yet they were still aflame. Fires raged on for both guardians and the storms only gotten stronger. Soon branches and limbs were snapping despite any reinforcements that were made before the first few battles and after the first ever battle they wrapped any branches broken or weak from that time. But now they were singed and snapping crushing some of the felines below. Then it all stopped the rain, the flames, everything took a break...
