Sky Prompt A:

Perseus had realized that half of the pride had headed back to the actual Pride’s home instead of the base camp they had set up where the two chains had latched into the sky and the sea. He didn’t blame them but at least he had Kuoana, Hiraeth, and a few others who were on damage control to moderate the shaking. Some felt they were his friends while others he just respected that they were in the same pride together but didn’t want to continue with getting to know them more. Percy’s always struggled to make friends but here he was hoping it would have been easier.

Áine quietly slunk up behind Percy her tail swishing quietly before she tackled Perseus to the ground laughing with joy,“Heya Perseus!”

Perseus grunted but smiled at Áine,“Hey Áine what brings you here?”

“Oh nothing… Kereenyaga has me on damage control and wants me to stay in case you or anyone else gets hurt. Did you feel the earth trembling today?” She said still smushing him in the ground proudly.

“Oh wow, are you sure you want to though? Mōrana might need help praying to the gods. And no, not really must have only affected half of the pride.” Perseus said blinking.

Áine frowned and shook her head getting off of him,“Are you trying to get rid of your only friend, Perseus?”

“N-NO NO! THAT’S NOT WHAT I MEANT!!” He yelled while getting up with a shocked face.

Áine smirked and busted out laughing at him,“You should have seen your face Percy… We’ll always be friends trust me.”

Land Prompt A:

Kereenyaga was inside his den laying next to his mate Lanitra as the world started shaking again. He sighed and curled in deeper to her fur while she lifted her head up to look at the ceiling before shifting upright to make sure Kere was comfortable.

“Kereenyaga… How well- What exactly do you think of this threat?” Lanitra said tiredly, she had spent most of her nights thinking of her sons especially Tacitus in those churning waves.

“Yes dear…” He mumbled softly before opening his eyes and looking at her, how she looked like she had aged in the moonlight from all the worries she was housing. “Well to be honest I’m just as scared as you… It wasn’t so bad when Achilles was sucked into portals but remember Hollow’s eve? With that meteor that decimated an entire pride… And now tremors and sky chains… Lanitra your the only reason why I’m here still, your strength for staying while I’ve given the option for the pride to head to the Oasis… If my father was still here he would have handled this perfectly.”

Lanitra nuzzled him,“I’m only strong because your strong. I wish you stop comparing yourself to him. Your just as good as him.”

Kereenyaga smiled at her before feeling the shaking stop.

Sea Prompt B:

Perseus was laying in the center of an circle where lions and lionesses had surrounded him to explain what it took and what it is meant to be a hero or a champion. His eyes glittering with anticipation in the moonlight and as the fires behind them twinkled and glistened. The whole pride had come back just to watch this and well Perseus felt more than honored especially as the heads of the pride were all forming together. They were the prides glue, the ones that help Kereenyaga get this amazing place off its paws when he decided to break away from the main pride and to found his own.

“Perseus do you know why you are here in this circle?” A feminine voice calmly spoke.

“I do.” Percy replied.

She cleared her throat before levelheadedly looking at Perseus, with her glow she could be terrifying but Mōrana for once in her life was being serious. “Good. Kereenyaga believes that you should know what a hero means to us… Achilles actually encouraged the idea.” Mōrana paused and glanced over to Achilles standing across from her in the circle with an wired expression on his face. “You still have a lot to learn Perseus, especially from us and not just the newcomers. Trust no one though…”

Perseus nodded softly and glanced back to Achilles dipping his head to the male lion. He turned his attention back to the real and gold lioness with bones protruding through her back.

“Percy, a hero isn’t just a status nor a mindset. It’s not even a role to us… A hero to me is a lion who sacrifices his ownself for the lions he cares about. A lion who will slay the deadliest beast and sail the roughest seas to provide for the future generations. He cares not of making his mark known…” She said dipping her head and stepping back.

Achilles stepped forward this time to speak,“Kid, a hero isn’t all about the popularity or becoming a champion. It’s about being a protecting of justice, light, and the circle of life. It’s about bringing harmony to the lands when harmony is at a loss. Even a friend enemies and friendless…” He said dipping his head before stepping back.

A new lion had taken his place stepping forward and speaking, as a new lion took there’s and continued on till Perseus learned what a hero was to them.

Sea Prompt C:

Áine had gotten up early, she was extremely excited to greet a certain hero who was just taught a very mysterious but vague lesson about his title. She thought it was weird some lions claimed him to be a champion hero while most claimed him to be an ordinary lion with a horrible case of dyslexia for the historic languages . Áine didn’t know what to call him except for her friend who had an exceptional heart and an even better personality. She quickly had crafted herself a purple flower crown and has switched out her wilted green before grabbing food from the base kill pile.

Áine was about to turn around before she was tackled into a bush, the two hunks of meat sent spiraling into the air. “Perseus!!” She chirped.

The male pouted standing atop of her being careful not to crush her wings. “How’d you know it was me, Áine?”

“Well I saw speeding blur of black, cream and blue. And your the only one who does this inside joke with me without yelling at me.” She chuckled before looking around for her flower crown and food she had lost.

Percy chuckled,“Except for that one time I did yell. Are… Are you looking for something?”

“Yeah my flower crown and two hunks of meat that I was bringing so we can eat.” Áine said as she wormed her way out of his grip like a small cub would and rolling to her feet while Perseus stood and walked off.

Perseus glanced around for the second and found the purple flower crown and playfully flopped it onto her head in a sloppy manner,“Well that’s one thing I found.” He chuckled before glancing up seeing vultures fighting each other for the hunks of meat in their talons. “And I found two…

Áine chuckled and fixed her flower crown before looking up with a frown,“Thanks Perseus… Well those blimey birds aren’t worth the hassle. Maybe the kill pile still has some goodies left.”

Perseus eyes lit up as he looked over and then frowned softly,“Or not…”

Áine’s eyes had followed Percy’s before she huffed irritably,“This was supposed to be a nice moment!! I just wanted to do something good before you headed off!” She yelled at the clouds which made Percy bust a gut at her.

“Áine you know your voice goes like eight octaves higher when you yell right? And hey, listen… Thank you for trying but my mind is already prepped and ready to go. And besides I wan to take you fishing.” Percy said nuzzling her.

“But won’t Kuoana get upset?” The Amycla mumbled quietly and nuzzled him back timidly.

“Who cares what he thinks, he’s trained me for days… I can wield a sword, create my own armor out of scraps, and use anything as a shield. I think I can take a day to spend some time with my best friend who I won’t get to see for a while fishing.” Percy stated matter of factly with a smirk.

Áine nodded haphazardly,“Alright then but Kuoana better not yell at me for being the reason why your not training.”

Perseus let out a chuff before pushing her towards a trail. It was decided they were going to spend the day fishing together as a confidence booster. It seemed Percy was always at his best when he was in that churning water anyways. Áine lightly slapped Percy with her tail before running down that tail and to the water. She had halted nervous that she was going to get her fae wings wet before getting tossed in by Percy. It was a blast…
