Day 1

Hiraeth had been out taking a quiet stroll, it had been quite a tiring day especially with the new comer Perky? Perry? Perdy? And on top of that a small crow would not stop trying to nest into her hair. Her eyes closed as she swatted the crow away once again before huffing loudly. She was about to scream as she started sprinting and stumbling into a small random club.

Hiraeth quickly paused while Poe crash landed into her and got tangled into her luscious locks. She quickly grimaced but gave an awkward smile to the black cat stretching his wings.

“Greetings! Let me help you with that.” Edgar said frantically untangling Poe from her hair and shooing off the crow swiftly.

“Hello…” Hiraeth said holding her breath as the crow was finally free,“Thank you so much! I’m Hiraeth by the way.”

“Edgar and welcome to the scavenger club!” He chirped happily with his crow sitting proudly on his head.

“It’s nice to meet you Edgar! And so that’s Poe… So where’s Allen?” Hiraeth asked with a smirk before it faltered when the cat looked a little lost with the joke.

“Well we never had an Allen! But I’m pretty sure everyone else would love to meet you even if it was an accident!” Edgar said.

Day 2

Hiraeth sat down in front of Edgar’s booth after fixing her messy presence and eyed Poe cautiously for the supposed “damage” he has done to her. She didn’t know what she was doing at this club or why he kept calling her a hero, if anything Percy should have been in her spot but that dud decided to go off exploring other parts of the cities and left her and the rest of the Edrenje’s to their own vices.

“So Hiraeth, now that you know what this club is all about what shiny’s did you bring me and Poe!” The charcoal black bicolor tom said with an ecstatic grin.

Hiraeth’s face went blank, they were supposed to bring something? What was this cubhood show and tell? Was she going to get something out of this? And the way Edgar and Poe was both happy made her awfully suspicious… Or maybe she was just being cynical. “Uhm yeah hold on…”

Edgar clapped his paws together happily while Poe cawed his sentiments into the dewy air.

Hiraeth looked down at her paws trying to find something, anything, before she realized to look in her hair. She pulled out one of her crew mates shiniest silver hoop earrings and put it on the booth. “Uhm, there… something shiny.” Hiraeth said awkwardly.

Day 3

Hiraeth had reluctantly came back to booth after Áine and Perseus practically dragged her over before quickly abandoning her the tom and his bird who probably has committed many war crimes. She sighed and sat in front of it before she heard sound of scrambling feet and thuds as she watched Edgar pop out while she didn’t realize that she had made a face. Hiraeth wished the monsters had gotten her as she frowned at the question. “You really want to know? Their all weird the accessorize with starfishes and have wings! Their almost as weird as Nyphora!” The lioness wailed.

Of course the Tom probably didn’t know who Nyphora was and of course she didn’t make herself use of and present.

“No don’t tell me their nice, yeah I know they are but I’m just tired of this! I want my den back, I don’t want to have to run away from rock monsters and get attacked by old crows!! I just want sleep…” Hiraeth continued wailing and slammed her face on Edgar’s booth while he just looked at her weirdly before giving a look to Poe.

“Uhm so they are nice then… Humm…” Edgar whispered to himself before patting Hiraeth awkwardly on the head and mumbling there there…

Day 4

Maybe Hiraeth acted like she had hated coming to Edgar’s booth but secretly she liked it. She slowly walked over seeing the Tom happily back behind the booth with his slightly annoying crow but it was nice seeing him not hiding. Hiraeth sat in front of him and was about to slam down a whole bag of shiny stuff Áine wanted her to give to the young Tom but ended up pausing and tilting her head as he asked her if they wanted to go exploring the sky city together.

“Fair enough…” Hiraeth said with a shrug and dumped the shiny’s on his booth table watching Edgar scoop it up and place in a basket under his booth where he stored whatever was collected from previous days.

“Let’s go slow poke!” Edgar chirped flapping his wings and flying off with Poe towards the direction of the sky realm leaving Hiraeth running while looking up to keep sight of Edgar.

Hiraeth found the chain and leapt up using her claws to climb the bridge. It was a little nerve wracking for her but her curiosity was definitely getting the best of her. She quickly clambered up meeting Edgar in the sky city to explore.

Day 5

Hiraeth had approached Edgar quietly and was about to say something but decided it was best just to sit and watch in silence to see if he noticed her presence. He normally always would, at this point Hiraeth didn’t know whether to leave and abandon him to his own vices or to throw water on him to see his reaction. His quiet and distracted nature was making her cynical and suspicious once again especially since she had pride mates exploring up here with the so called hero who wanted her to be friendly. Hiraeth tried, she really did but this was freaking her out.

Maybe the bird possessed him? Who knows what Poe’s criminal history was? He looked like the bird who would warp all time rules just to bury a perfectly committed crime. Maybe just maybe Poe was the one who took out Allen and brainwashed Edgar into thinking that their was never an Allen and that’s why he was so confused with Hiraeth’s joke. Hiraeth’s eyes turned into saucers before she fled into the city to go find her pride mates. She didn’t care about the stupid cyclops? Tintin? Pterodactyl? She really needed to listen more… Hiraeth could be hanging out with menaces to society and be doing their evil bidding. More like Poe’s…

Day 6

Hiraeth exhaled a small sigh of relief when Edgar spoke up and flicked her tail before shaking her head no to that mindset. She was having mixed feelings again, maybe she would grow to like him or maybe she would never have to speak to him again after this whole situation is wrapped up. But there is one thing that would always stay the same and that was her hate for the pesky crow Poe. On the matter of that topic, where is that creepy bone picker at anyways? Her eyes narrowed slightly if she didn’t have that bird in her sights at all time he could be off committing arson.

Granted that was the crime Hiraeth was least worried about with Poe but still. The crafty beady eyed critter has been gone for a little too long. Was Poe a spy for the titan? Or maybe he is the titan? Why else would the water have made Milton a literal bobber caught in circles or why the rocks started floating? Hiraeth bared her teeth not at Edgar but at her thoughts.

“Come on we’re going to find that bird and put it in its place and that’s behind bars.” Hiraeth hissed.

Day 7

Hiraeth had called it as her steely gaze locked on the raven flapping away from angry merchants and the weight of the shiny necklace. Her lips curled into an almost menacing snarl but her eyes had locked onto Edgar’s and she felt pity for the Tom. He was just trying to have a fun time and create a wonderful club and now he had to worry about the merchants and Poe fleeing town. Her mind rotating on how they could quickly catch him, her eyes flickered as she saw a straw weaved basket filled with turnips that a merchant was about to sell next to her.

“We’ll make this right Edgar…” Hiraeth said watching the bird fly into view and hucking multiple turnips at him at once to knock him out of the sky. She had just earned the wrath of another vendor but it seemed her plan was going to work at some point. Hiraeth launched her final turnip and watched Poe plummet straight into the ground. The lioness quickly grabbed the basket and put it over Poe so he couldn’t escape before sitting on top of it. Of course it was a bit extreme as she heard the bird crow and flap around whacking the sides of the basket.

Hiraeth sighed and handed over the last of her money to pay off the venders. What didn’t she do for this club…

Day 8

Hiraeth had approached the small Tom and sat down a small napsack of cheeses, breads, for Edgar and some sunflower seeds for Poe. He seemed a little down and she was glad she brought a snack for exploring then. Her tail flicked quietly as she sat down next to him as Edgar voiced his fears and essentially told her to go without him. She softly sighed,“And I was really looking forward to exploring with you and tweety bird. If that’s how you really feel then I respect it.”

Edgar nodded his head gently as he used his claws to unwrap the snacks and watched Poe dive face first into the sunflower seeds. “Have fun Hiraeth!”

The lioness chuckled and stood up,“It won’t be the same without you…. But I’ll bring you back something shiny.”

Hiraeth backed up and took a flying start before leaping into the water she yelled as her body made a massive splash,“Cowabunga!”

The lioness bobbed up for air before taking a massive breath and swimming down in spirals. She was met by one of the sea kingdom’s cards holding a potion and drank it down. Hiraeth didn’t realize how fast it would work because in the matter of seconds she was breathing under the water and following her guide to the sea kingdom.

Day 9

Hiraeth practically screamed seeing the inferno in front of her. She was right why was everything that she was right about happening. And she had been nice to that blasted bird the day before at that. Everything was so confusing for Hiraeth but she found the nearest bucket and dropped it into the sea before quickly yanking it up as it started sinking when the water filled into it. The lioness waddled over to the smoldering tent and tossed the water on it. Hiraeth had accidentally also possibly had lost control of the bucket and sent it into the last little bit of flames there was left.

The lioness sighed and glanced around before picking up the feathers and sticking it into her satchel before glancing up to the lion sympathetically,“I’m sorry about morons. I’ll handle this as well as being you my own tent.”

Hiraeth went sprinting off in the direction of her base camp and quickly ripped everything off the ground and collapsed her tent. She quickly wrapped it all up with vines before tossing it on her back and sprinting off to the poor lion. Hiraeth handed over her tent to him before fleeing to go shake some sense into the arsonist Raven.

Day 10

Hiraeth quietly trotted after the feather trail after giving up her tent to the poor lion. Her eyes flickering left and right as she followed the trail to the booth. Hiraeth’s gut slowly grumbled with unease. Something wasn’t right about this but she had to find out what was wrong. She slowly continued trotting forward till she found Edgar’s booth. Maybe she should have found it familiar and homey but to her, she felt it was creepy. As she approached she saw Edgar and Poe near the booth. Her eyes lighting up with slight relief when she saw the black Tom.

She frowned when he started running off with his eyes glowing and the bird following him. Hiraeth quietly walked around the booth and saw the wooden chest filled with feathers. Her jaw dropped, maybe it was Edgar who controlled Poe? Why was his eyes glowing? And what was up with all these exotic feathers? Obviously the feathers didn’t come from any creatures around here or the newcomers… Did Edgar burn down the tent and make Poe steal the necklace for him? Was Edgar working with the so called “apprentice” Lorena? Hiraeth’s mind roared but she did know that she felt betrayed.

Final Day

Hiraeth stared dumbfounded at the two creatures in front of her, why did she come back to this weirdness... Wait- the weirdness had come back to her once again. The black tom was no longer the shiniest shade of charcoal, he was multicolored and beautiful while Poe had stayed the same. So the whole arson thing, that wasn't Poe but Edgar probably accidentally sneezing and catching the lion's tent on fire. And the feathers being horded into a chest... Edgar was just trying to hid his identity. Poe probably liked shiny because his best friend was shiny and the change of fur color threw him off and made him steal... It all made sense but at the same time it didn't for Hiraeth.

How stupid could she have been she almost would have been a fossil if Edgar hadn't just saved her. Her maw was unhinged but she started running towards the two while ditching the trees that were being uprooted by the cat titan's chains. "How could you! How could you lie!?! I don't want an explanation, I just want the honesty for once Edgar..."

Edgar nodded, "After this battle Hiraeth I will explain everything."

"Are you a god Edgar? Is that why you hid your form and Poe is your cleric? Or were your cursed by gods to be this mythical creature?" Hiraeth yelled before picking up her sword and sending it through one of the titan's sorceress bound chains.

No response...

Edgar was busy using his fire abilities on the titan.
