Land Prompt A:

It wasn’t unusual for Achilles to have a freak out like this to be honest ever since he went through the portal to the Trinity tree he had been like this and even warier of the newcomers that would either crashland from portals like Áine or be morphed out of damned souls like Mōrana, but it wasn’t always about how they came it was about him getting close to them and his heart getting broken when they pass on or abandon him. But today something had spooked him.

Kuoana couldn’t be bothered with Achilles at the moment so he sat him with Áine and Mōrana to practice breathing techniques while he could find the supposed hero. The orange lion flicked his fluffy tail before seeing that Kereenyaga had beat him to it and was welcoming the teenage hero to the pride. Kuoana cleared his throat and bowed to the Kralot which the Kralot solidified with a nod of his head before approaching and joining the conversation.

“Greetings young one, I hope Achilles didn’t scare you off too much. What is your name?” Kuoana shifted his paws awkwardly as some the lions were mumbling about new comers and how they destroyed the world.

“I’m Percy! And he didn’t, to be fair that isn’t the weirdest greeting I’ve had from your pride yet.” Perseus replied which made Kereenyaga groan and slap his paw onto his muzzle in embarrassment at his prides response.

Sea Prompt B;

“So kid have you ever picked up a sword before?” A gruff voice asked from the grassy clearing overlooking the bay.

“No sir, how does one even fight with that?” The youthful voice replied.

“You pick it up with your fangs or you either use your tail. Do you at least know how to fight by tooth and nail?” The gruff voice spoke up again now laced with exasperation while has daughter started laughing at the sight.

"Uhm…”

“HOW DO YOU EVEN CALL YOURSELF A HERO!!!” Kuoana bellowed at Perseus make Achilles and Reverie jump and flap five feet off the ground.

Percy turned a bright shade of red and sat back on his haunches,“I don’t know to be honest… Sir, if you really think of it I’m just a kid.”

Kuoana stared at him and clamped his mouth shut while emitting a deathly stare from his eyes while trying to keep the low growling out of his voice as his tail wildly flickered about, “My daughter knows how to fight nonetheless by tooth and nail and she’s younger than you Perseus! Don’t use that I’m just a kid dungstory with me, someway somehow your home cities proclaim you to be a hero. You better prove and prove it fast boy.”

Perseus cowered slightly from Kuoana’s screaming, he was slightly terrifying when he was all worked up like this. And it seemed he was like this most of the time.

“Dad… Be easy on him, if he doesn’t know. He doesn’t know it just means we have more to prep him with.” Reverie said gently watching her dad calm down slightly as she walked over to Percy. “What do you know, Percy?”

The tan lion tilted his head up to the sun thinking quietly before giving Reverie a grin,“ Well I can kick.”

Reverie chuckled and shook her head,“Alright Crazy Legs, let’s go we’re gonna waste daylight at this point. I’ll teach you the basics and then we’ll go from there” She walked off and started creating a circle in the grass before setting up a dirt filled hide.

It was hours of brutal training but Perseus did it, he was finally strong enough to fight tooth and nail with Kuoana and nearly win. Of course he still had a lot to learn but now he could rely on himself rather than a weapon that could easily fracture in seconds.

Sea prompt C:

Kereenyaga had summoned the whole pride, yes the whole pride as he put a sailing and teleporting ban due to the insane weather. But that didn’t make any difference to why the pride was summoned. Bright eyes eagerly shown as the Kralot had nudged Perseus into the center of the pride clearing before clearing his throat,“My fellow Edrenje’s… I have summoned you here tonight to show off our newest warrior. He is not just any warrior he is going to be our champion and set all this straight just like Achilles and his mate. Perseus has done well with his studies so far, he can even fight a guardian if he wanted too and even has the cunning to outsmart a Safi and their son. But what he lacks is a weapon…. A weapon to defend us and our honor. I humbly request of you this night to either craft him a weapon or to let him pick one. Thank you…”

Perseus nervously gulped as the eyes had intensely positioned them on him and his form. It was evident the days he was spending in the pride was doing him justice, he had grown since he first came here and now he was going to be their champion. Of course this had all been discussed in private with the Kralot and all his men but now the tension had shifted.

Lions and Leopards left and right began scouring the clearing for items that they could use to craft him a sturdy weapon while some disappeared to their dens for hours before returning back with either cracked weapons or weapons that were so dull that it couldn’t cut a leaf. Percy was slowly becoming anxious that he would never get himself a weapon to defend himself and he didn’t want to take any of the training ones.

Perseus quietly sat down nervously ringing each paw back and forth before seeing Achilles approach. The poor proclaimed hero gulped, his last conversation with Achilles had gone he didn’t expect the other lion to approach especially carrying strips of leather and a golden baton.

Achilles nimbly walked over to Percy and sat down beside him, dropping what he had in front of his paws. The orange lion sighed softly and fixed his helmet as well as twisted his nose ring back into place. “Don’t Percival- ah Perseus sorry about that. What I was about to say is that there is no need to apologize, you didn’t know at the time. And there is still much for you to learn from me.”

Percy nodded softly,“Why don’t you tell me in case something happens to me tomorrow…”

“Kid nothing is going to happen to you, well… Let me rephrase that nothing to the point of leaving you dying.” Achilles mumured. “Just don’t get all chipper with people you meet, they can die on you just as fast as they meet you.”

“Is that what happened to you and your mate’s friend?” Perseus whispered softly not wanting to draw attention as he shook away some chipped weapons.

Achilles sighed,“This was his ring, I fashioned it into a nose ring and well wear it all the time to honor him. All of this really this was my battle helmet and the tail charm is honor of the trees.”

Perseus cocked his head and gestures to the pile of leather and golden baton,“Ah well what’s this…”

Achilles stood up,“Rise up…”

Perseus followed commands and watched Achilles fashioned a holder on his right leg. Achilles picked up the Baton and clicked it open but sticking his claw into one end, before the Baton transformed into a massive golden trident with a blue gemstone in the center.

“This is yours Percy, the old gods left this behind in the ruined temples. I hope it is of use to you and carry it on your hip.” Achilles said dipping his head.

Percy smiled,“I will thank you Achilles…”

Sea prompt A;

Percy had silently been walking around the clearing the pride had quickly swept up and dusted off. It was odd hearing the silence and well it was making him feel awkward as his brain thrived on sound. Was everyone already scared of him? Sure he was born in one warring city with the other but they had called a truce recently and he was able to learn from them. But this, this was just odd. Percy quietly started walking around seeing if anyone had left any clues of where they had went. Yet there was nothing. No notes. No paw prints. Nothing.

Perseus’ tail drooped ever so lightly before he slunk across the clearing and to his den in the ruins where other lions also had made their homes. He quietly walked in seeing only Áine sitting there with a massive ribbon in her mouth that she was about to apply to a papyrus wrapped gift. Her eyes widened as she spat out the ribbon out of shock,“Percy! Hi! What- what are you doing here?”

Percy tilted his head before walking closer to her,“I was coming to rest since everyone is gone.”

“No their not… their waiting for you! Did you not see the note?” Áine chirped happily as her fairy wings flicked.

“No…” Percy mumbled as he looked at the wet bow and the papyrus present.

“Oh well here!” Áine said chucking the present at him.

Percy grunted as it landed square in his face before unwrapping the present. His eyes watering at the sand dollar etched with lions from the claws of a creature and painted with gold inside the etchings. It was perfect…
