Promptober

Audun walks up to the large beautifully lit amusement park gates. Once inside she looks around at all the different rides, games, and food stands. This was much larger than any fair she had been to, and a lot busier too. But at the very least, it looked like everyone here was having a good time. She wasn’t really sure why she had decided to go by herself, but she had come to the amusement park after reading in an old book that it was actually a human custom that Dex had picked up. This knowledge intrigued her greatly.

She headed through the park, trying a couple of games here and there, but most of the rides she saw made her a little too nervous to ride. Machines that spun you, or looped you upside down at incredible speeds, it all seemed a bit dangerous. Not to mention they all crammed Dex into close quarters that made her a bit uneasy. Though she wanted to try at least one ride. So she continued her search, until she finally saw something that truly caught her eye. The Ferris wheel. She waited in the luckily not too long line and got onto the ride. As it lifted her into the air she watched over the park in awe. She smiles softly as she takes in the view and thinks to herself that maybe next time she could bring a friend to help her be brave enough to try other rides.
