#3. Escape Room

Think, think, think… Audun had got herself into quite the conundrum, and now she has to think her way out. Think, think, think… Going back to how she got herself into this mess, she had been searching a new area when she managed to stumble upon what looked like old ruins. Figuring it was likely a tomb or a storage place of sorts, she didn’t think she’d find much trouble. Only to trigger a closing mechanism once inside. She had looked over a key point of human nature that she should have remembered to keep herself more cautious. Human’s are a very secretive species. They like to hide things and protect them from harm, even if it means having to rig up traps for when they’re away.

She looked around the room curiously. If anyone else had walked in here, they’d be panicked, and have no idea how to find the way out. But Audun has studied humans for far too long for this to impede her. She cautiously made her way around the room, daintily running her fingers over strangely carved shapes. She then looked at the door, and smiled. This was a simple puzzle she had learned. The indents in the door were built to hold the strange figurines, and would act as a key. However that was a little too easy, she examined the door to see if it had anything else up its sleeve. Hard to see due to the wear of time, she felt above each indent and felt a notch. Each notch was a number. The order in which she had to place the figures. So she carefully one by one took the pieces and placed them into the door, unlocking the door, and waltzing right back out.
