Promptober

Audun makes her way past the large iron gates, heading down the given trail through the expanse of headstones. She quietly looked over each grave, silently paying her respects before she reached her destination. She slowly kneels down, making sure not to disturb the calm silence of this place. A graveyard for her kind. She couldn’t really remember why she started paying her respects here more and more, maybe she just had a lingering thought in the back of her mind, that they might be lonely, or feel forgotten.

After paying her respects, she carefully made her way back to the trail, and as she walked down it she began to hum a soft melody. Humming a song that was about remembering to be there for others, and being the light in someone’s darkness. She gently touched the tops of a couple graves she passed, like a lingering goodbye, but also a quiet promise that she’d return.
