Promptober

Audun had once again dragged herself into an unusual situation in the name of self-exploration. She didn’t normally like to put herself in such social environments, but tonight was a rare event. The yearly Halloween event known as ‘Monster Ball’ was open to all Dex, not just the most elite. The only rule was you had to be wearing a costume and mask set. Most costumes made Audun uncomfortable, so she wasn’t sure what she was going to wear. At least not until she spotted a beautifully sleek mask that she felt would perfectly match a kimono she had at home. She just hoped that would count enough as a costume.

Finally arriving at the event, she carefully makes her way inside with a small stream of people also entering before managing to break off on her own once inside and walking to a more secluded spot to catch her breath. She wasn’t too overwhelmed, she just wanted to reevaluate the situation so she could proceed through the night calmly. Just before she could begin her walk towards the snack table, she heard a voice that she almost didn’t realize was talking to her. Until she saw her at least. A girl approached her with a slight wave before gesturing to herself, making Audun realize why she was approached so suddenly. They were both wearing kimonos! Relief washed over her as she hoped she had found a potential friend that would help her through the night.
