Audun sat at home, knowing better than to go outside right now. Why? Oh, there was a rather harsh thunderstorm rolling in, causing a heavy rain to be beating down on the outside of her window. What was once a drizzle was now a raging storm, thunder crashing now and then. Luckily, Audun was not scared of storms. Quite the opposite really. They fascinated her, just like many things in this world.

She pulled a chair towards her biggest window, and placed it close to the wall. Sitting down, she leaned forward and planted her elbows on the window sill. Her face rested in her slightly cupped hands. She watched the rain tip tapping on her window incessantly. However she wasn’t here to focus on the rain. Just then, lightning flashed in the distance, and Audun quietly began counting, merely whispering to herself, “One, two, three, four, five, six-” Thunder rumbled, like the low growl of a giant beast off in the distance. A faint smile slid onto her face. Lightning struck once again, and she counted once more, “One, two, three, four-”
