#26. Bloody Mary

“Bloody Mary… Bloody Mary…” Audun pauses, staring into her reflection in the dim room. Did she really want to test to see if this was true or not? Going back to how she got here, Audun had come across a human diary that seemed to talk about a terrifying game that children played. It was described as dangerous, due to the so-called ‘Bloody Mary’ that is supposed to be summoned in this game. The game’s goal was to stand in the dark, looking into a mirror, and say its name three times. The supposed apparition is told to attack its summoner, which made Audun question why anyone would play such a game. That is, until the diary described that it wasn’t really true, just that the fear the game causes tends to make believers out of many of its players.

Truly it was Audun’s curiosity that brought her to the mirror. A game that children made up, yet it somehow is still so terrifying that it causes people to believe in ghosts. She was no stranger to the idea of the supernatural, after some odd experiences here or there. So she wasn’t really sure what to think. This is exactly why she wanted to find out. Her burning desire to learn and experience was constantly driving her to try all sorts of odd things. This was no different. With a calming deep breath, still gazing into the mirror, Audun whispers one last time, “Bloody Mary.”
