Emrysian is thought to originate from the 1400s, Emlyn castle. Here, on a day when a fair was in full swing in the castle grounds, a red dragon was spotted on the walls. With the blazing sun behind it, it could very well have been mistaken for a phoenix.
A brave soul among the panicked crowds shot the dragon through the heart. Some say in those moments they saw the dragon burst into flames and a new creature fly away.
As stories do, it got twisted over the years, an thus became Emrysian.
