Dæilims

Dæilims are a species of angel said to be created by a bored deity.

This deity took a handful of coins and a handful of crystals, and from those crafted the most beautful winged creatures to grace the Complex. They made them in the image of a long lost friend, but with a tiny piece of themselves to give these creatures life.

Dæilims age slowly, so much so that beings with a shorter lifespan have deemed them immortal. By the age of 40 they have reached, or about reached, adulthood. Here, their wings will either moult all feathers and regrow a new set, or the feathers will fall away and never return, with long, webbed fingers taking their place instead.

Those who keep their feathers are deemed worthy and pure, but those who don't are felled and thrown down to one of the many worlds or the Undervoid, where they can never return to the Overvoid.
