About

Watchers are seemingly a hybrid species of dragon who have taken on a humanoid, or at least semi humanoid, form. They have never been observed in the wild, however many captured ones have been studied and domesticated by Lab:yrinth. It is unclear where they got the Watchers from.

This creatures' main appearence is that of a bony, anthro dragon that either stands upright on two back legs or on all fours, and has been noted to swap between the two. They are mostly dark colours; blacks, greys, dark purples, blues, reds and greens. Their face appears almost human, but lacks predominent features such as the nose, eyebrows and lips, which are reduced to smoothed versions of the human counterpart. Most Watchers will have sweeping horns, unusable small wings, animal-like ears, dark reptilian eyes and feet and hands partway between animal and human.

A strange ability of theirs is that their skin numbs you to touch. Not in a cold way, but in a no-more-feeling way. A way of catching prey, perhaps?

It is believed Watchers gained their name from being extremely good at partolling silently. Old texts and art have been found depicting them as some kind of guardian of tombs, caverns and places deemed of religious importance. Any evidence of them died out around 200ad, so it is thought they might have gone into hiding.

It is also thought that Watchers may communicate telepathically or have some kind of hivemind, due to them being able to cooordinate themselves silently. Some of been known to speak, but it appears to be painful for them from the rasping of wheezing between their words.
