story & relations
Unlike their Imperial cousins, Mystic Twilight topazes not only make good guardians, but also prestige blacksmiths. They're often in the presence of elite homeworld garnets, which is why their physical form is taller and more decorated. Despite their fancy clothing, twilights are usually humble and quiet, fully dedicated to their craft.
Sol is a perfect cut who once served the gem empire. They were known for their traditional delicate work of highest quality and reforgement of homeworld's prisms to their current glory.
After the war on Earth, Sol felt betrayed by their own empire. The cultural shift towards modern weaponry, usage of limb enhancers and loss of Pink diamond made them believe that this new era no longer deserves their hard work. One day Topaz took their finest sword, changed their form and disappeared without leaving a trace. Nowadays they bravely travel across the lonely space in search of a new home.
Relations
Some Golden Beryl
That beryl is a prime example of how corrupt Homeworld has become. Instead of retaining me, calling reinforcements or alarming higher-ups, she stalks me across the universe for her own entertainment. Why are they even allowing such a lonely offcolor in their ranks?? Whatever the case, I'm not playing her games. If my blade ever hits her, I won't be holding back.
Brown Zircon
I know what dignity is, I'm not fighting a defenceless civilian. Plus, I accidentally got her involved in my exile mess. It's up to me to fix it and send her back home.
THE Leuco
If the rumors are correct, Leuco will one day pass on her prism to someone younger. It's probably a political move, keeping balance between the first and second era. How disappointing... Glad I'll never see it happen.
THE Pyrope
I get it, every court should have a prism, with Pyrope being the only Blue's garnet remotely worthy of it. Still, she's not a warrior.
THE Hessonite
I used to be proud. Hessonite was the only garnet who actively used her prism in battles. Now it's lost in the desert of time along with my diamond...
Light prisms
While I cherish my sword dearly, the most honorable weapons my hands had the opportunity to work with were the prisms. They were conscious and nearly perfect as they arrived, making a way for improvement that more difficult. Besides brilliantly sharpening their edges, I couldn't do much else. They were in excellent condition. Still, reforging them took me five years.
