Abilities
1. Slow fall
2. Hidden gem
3. Four arms
4. Charged shot
5. Spikes
6. -x-
1.Thanks to the "magical" cape, watermelons can slowly and elegantly fall down from high places.
2.Watermelons are surprisingly fragile and therefore must make sure to protect themselves adequately. One way of doing so is to completely submerge their gemstones inside the physical form.
3. Elbaites have so well developed coordination skills that they can easily control another pair of arms. So why not take an advantage of it and shapeshift them from time to time.
4. After fully charging their weapon, it becomes extra deadly.
5. ๐ฆ Some parts of Copper's body got covered in spikes. She can retract them or even shoot them at will. Once they leave Copper's physical body and hit a solid object, they explode into thin air. She also uses them as a part of her body language.
6. -x-

Weapon
Bow
A long range weapon too large and inbalanced to be used by anyone but its owner. Its regular shots are pretty average. Once fully charged after 3-5 minutes, it's a death sentence for any gemstone that isn't hard as a diamond. The energy consumption, however, makes it impossible to fire more than 2 charged shots in a row.
Trivia
- Copper was originally created as a SUF joke wife for Melon to prove short people aren't children. She and Melon get married in some era 3 timelines, deal with it. Is one of them the main line? Idk ยฏ\_(ใ)_/ยฏ
- She's one of my few gems whose corruption gets fully healed in era 3
- If Melon had never corrupted, Copper would force them to get a therapist
story & relations
Copper was one of the seven elbaites who traveled with Blue's diplomats to Pink's colony. She was the youngest and least experienced of the tourmalines, giving her no reasons to protest against the idea of working with others. Despite not enjoying socializing whatsoever, Copper took it as an opportunity to quietly study her fellow comrades, hoping to improve herself by the end of the war conflict.
During the elbaite assassination period, Copper avoided anything related to it. She considered the first three deaths as regular war casualties, unrelated to any mysterious spies. The fourth victim, according to Copper, likely blew themselves up. Despite her denial, she admitted staying around the remaining tourmalines was undoubtedly dangerous. One was always a bit intimidating and the other wasn't doing mentally well. It got to a point the second one became a danger to everyone around, including themselves.
Ironically enough, the day Copper decided its best to retain that unstable gem, she was greeted by a destroyed elbaite outpost with a trail of footsteps leading out to the open. After minutes of following, she finally witnessed the very thing she ignored- a deadly battle between her two teammates. Once she figured who's the traitor, Copper interrupted their fight, saving the victim. The damaged betrayer unfortunately fled, putting an unsatisfying end to all the murders.
Early era 2
Once the post-war politics calmed down, Copper struggled to find a job. With corruption skepticis all over the place, she wasn't trusted to spy on anyone. Thankfully, an elite named Uvarovite had learned about her existence and presented Copper with a bizarre mission: unexpectedly fake assassination attempts on her, so that Uvarovite can train her own senses.
Relations
Facet-K04 Cut-2H0
I wish I took K04's conspiracies regarding spies seriously back then. Even though I had managed to save her life, she was never quite the same. Nowadays, she's a living mixbag of a dangerous lunatic and a determined heroine. Not that it's something entirely new, Melon expressed these traits before too, now they're just more severe. She sounds passionate about her new job and is very active in public. To some extended, it creates a great cover for other elbites still doing their regular job. Overall, K04 is certainly an interesting individual. (...Why does that excite me?) *Blushes*
Melon's Citrine
She's everywhere Melon is. (How lucky...)
Facet-H7W7 Cut-1A9
How foolish must one be to control those who don't desire their help... No wonder they've fallen victim to it. To be clear though, I'm not trying to argue elbaites can't be good leaders. Just look at Melon...
Facet-ZL3K Cut-Y03
She was... Certainly someone memorable. I still believe Thorn fell victim to her own practices. Her illegal bombs and hatred for everything in existence remind me of Melon's shady relationship with Uvarovite.
Facet-B3B3 Cut-G1F
Hmmm, Dot wasn't my type, but I'm deeply impressed by her acting skills! (If she was ever acting to begin with). Like Melon's modern performance in public, one would believe there was never a fake mask on her face. Eh, I guess the killer couldn't help but share their secret with Dot.
Facet-S7R Cut-A08
Berry always knew what to do if she desired something. She bravely held on to her goals and spoke with those who could get her closer to them. Working with others while staying true to themselves is clearly something Melon perfected as well. Unlike Berry, hopefully she never interacts with the wrong gem.
Facet-PW2L Cut-8S0
Why do I feel... -that Melon learned to mimic her creepy smile?
Uvarovite
Uvarovite is the most bizarre contractor I ever had. There's clearly something deeply wrong with her, yet I can't complain. I'm simply too grateful to be employed after the war.
Uvarovite's guards
We barely interact. Although, thinking about them now gives me a weird sense of dรฉjร vu...
Spodumene
My apologies for all the trouble and false alarms my presence is causing at her palace. I'm just following majesty's orders.
Opinions & details
The diamonds: "*Salute* Let their power guide us. As for Pink, I hope the stars peacefully shiny in her memory every day. I'm certain that's what the majority of my former comrades would wish for."
Crystal gems: "With the number of rebels who were great at playing the game of pretend, I wonder how many still secretly live in our empire."
The war: "GRRRR, I should have stayed on Homeworld! My life would be so much easier now. *Sigh* But then again, Melon and I know each other thanks to it."
Earth: "Honestly, organics weren't as repulsive as expected. Thought, this doesn't mean I like them. Everything else about Earth was a disaster."
Cross-gem fusions: "Cross-fusions... They always remind me of the question if a fusion between two elbaites would be considered as one."
Corruption: "I hate being a hypocrite but my stars, what filthy creatures. I wish I wasn't one if them. You have no clue how uncomfortable this body of mine feels."
Disguise missions: "I prefer to stay quiet during my missions. Targets consider me cuter than way. And if silence isn't enough, I add nervous hand gestures and 'accidental' tripping over my own cape. I also need to find a gullible excuse for handling my bow around them. Otherwise, there's no way I can charge it without being noticed."
Elbaites: "Joining the war reinforced my lack of interest in socializing with any of them. The only elbaite I'm willing to stand is Cut-2H0. However, I'm aware she doesn't reciprocate that mindset."
Nickname: "Grrr, I hate it. When gems hear about me, they assume I'm an actual copper! And yes, I agree with them. It's a nonsense of a nickname. My former elbaite colleagues gave it to me as a joke. A JOKE."
Love: "That's an Earth word, right? A noun and a verb at the same time. Hm? Are you asking for a definition? Eeeee, hold on- I swear to stars it's something about admiring and greatly liking other things or gems. Hold on, I'm surely capable of using it in a sentence. EHM, 'Our love for diamond is unmeasurable.' Oooor 'We should all love Melon for her accomplishments.' Hopefully, that helps."
