1 Venomous fangs
Skylar's largest set of fangs is connected to a venom sack her species once used. As evolution continued, the toxins lost on their deadlines. Nevertheless, they can still badly irritate the skin of soft creatures.
2 Flexible body
Despite never being professionally athletic, her body is naturally flexible and good at climbing.

Gets raised by aliens and becomes the new snake princess #NotSponsoredByEthers

Meets a robot who likely murdered some of her family once, decides to befriend it anyway
Skylar is the last living member of Sigrid bloodline, the royal cobra family who once ruled over the whole snake planet. Their kind, however, was getting too confident in their technological expansion and decided to play gods. With a team of greatest scientists, Skylar's great-aunt created an artificial life who then violently turned against them.
As a very young hatchling, Skylar, and her mother escaped the robotic claws of death by transporting themselves far into the future. The used artifact teleported them to the nearest place it could find someone of the similar DNA. They skipped millennia worth of cosmic development before the mother finally closed the space-time travel portal. Once stranded in the unknown future, it was discovered that the remaining snakes citizens, whose ancestors survived the machine war, didn't live on their home planet. Instead, they settled in an intergalactic megastation and became a protected vessel of a much larger empire, The Ethers. Even though most of them forgot the history behind their kind, they still recognized legends about their once royal family and welcomed both with open arms.
Unfortunately, this peaceful future was too nice to last. Due to yet unknown post-travel medical complications, Skylar's mom had to be put into a cryosleep, leaving her child in the hands of complete strangers. As much as the snakes tried to hide the hatching, the elders of their kind's protectors inevitably noticed this event and saw a potential in the last remaining noble of its vessel's heritage. They decided to nurture small Skylar themselves, teaching her obedience to their kind, many intergalactic languages, cultural standards and what should be expected of her as the future representative of her species. To carve her name as the future snakes princess, she was sometimes allowed to meet other members of her race, but it was never enough to gain any nationalistic pride or rebellious thoughts against the mighty Ethers.
Despite the controversial way how she was raised, most of the civilians still view Skylar as a highly influential figure. They see her as a symbol of their once blooming empire, even though she remembers nothing of it. Skylar makes sure her people feel satisfied with their humble lives as someone's vessel and discourages any discrimination against other galactic races.
A notable example of this is her friendship with Prototype who, like her, accidentally escaped their past planet and was sent into the future. She feels sorry her predecessors created Prototype's intelligent kind for free labor and understands why the machine uprising was inevitable. That said, they genuinely like each other's company and stand by their side during political meetings with other space diplomats. Thanks to Prototype's excellent memory and access to time travel, Skylar also gets to explore a forgotten snake history and culture that she's so deprived of.

Finaly home again. Want a report on my recent travels?
She's not the greatest at understanding social clues, but that's why I'm always nearby. We complete each other's flaws and I'm grateful for it. That said, the fact Proto somewhat has the need to serve me feels... Awkward... I wish that wasn't the case. Thankfully, all the personality mimicking data and independence Proto collected over the years slowly eliminate this problem.
Can't believe I'm already a great-aunt~
I've heard stories about her. Apparently, Naga always appeared strong, confident, and elegant at once. She bravely fought for her empire until the end, right before getting murdered by an unknown assassin. What a rightful leader she was...
I think Naga would be disappointed in me.
The last remaining. Glad she surrendered. I cannot wait to see her one day :)
I- I don't actually have a detailed opinion on One nor One's drones. Many expect me to feel vengeful, yet all I perceive is numbness. The galactic federation consists of many empires with similar origins as Hivemind, so why should I be entitled to deny someone's freedom?

The closest being I have to a parent. I am eternally grateful for all the knowledge and patience they shared with such a lesser life form as me. Even if they molded me into their image, I feel no desire to complain.
