Digimon: Dark Worlds

“Hey, guys...This is Axel.” Erik motions to Axel, who nervously stood behind him, everyone looking at him with varied surprised expressions on their faces. “He’s a part of the group now, so give him a warm welcome.”

“Uh...Hi, everyone.” Axel awkwardly rubs the back of his neck, until he notices ToyAgumon, who walks up to him with a sparkle in his eyes.

“...Axel? Wow, you’re really back?” ToyAgumon says, staring up at him in awe. Axel leans down to his level, giving a warm smile. “I sure am. And, um, ToyAgumon...” Axel pauses, looking away nervously. “I’m...I’m sorry about everything I did as the Dark King. I’m not gonna be that person anymore, and I’m gonna do everything I possibly can to make up for my wrongdoings, so...I hope you can forgive me, buddy.” Axel stares at ToyAgumon with a nervous look, as he suddenly hops into Axel’s arms, embracing him into a hug.

“Oh, Axel...Of course I forgive you! We’re best buddies no matter what.” ToyAgumon responds, Axel looking shocked in response before tightly hugging him back.

“Thanks, ToyAgumon...You won’t regret this.” Axel slowly stands up, still holding his Digimon partner as he looks at the group.

“I...hope you can all forgive me as well. I want to do my best now to help you guys out, and help defeat the demon lords.” Axel waits nervously for a response from the group, as Lily sniffles, standing up and walking over to Axel.

“Hi, Axel...My names Lily...” Lily introduces herself, looking up to Axel with puppy eyes. “You’re gonna help us get our friends back, right? Laylamon kidnapped...My partner Digimon...”

“Wow, um...Yeah, Lily. I’m gonna do my best to save your partner.” Axel spoke nervously, as Lily suddenly hugged him.

“...Thank you.” Lily squeaked as Axel awkwardly hugged her back, looking up at Cora and Ryudamon.

“...My names Cora. My partner got kidnapped too, so I’m glad you’re here to help us.” Cora gives a weak smile, and a thumbs up.

“Names Ryudamon. And uh, same thing Cora said.” Axel gives a relieved smile, his eyes scanning the woods around him.

“Uh...Correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t there more of you in the group?” Axel asks. Erik looks at the group, noticing the lack of Taeka and Dracomon. “Well, Ryudamon’s partner, Blaine, got kidnapped too. And our group leader Taeka is supposed to be here, but...Uh, you guys know where she is?” Erik asks.

“Well, after you went to talk to her, she ran in that direction.” Lily says, pointing to a random direction in the woods.

“You guys mind if I go talk to her?” Axel asks. “...Alone?”

Taeka sat on a stump in a small clearing in the woods, her head facing the ground as Dracomon sat next to her, awkwardly picking at the grass. The two sat in silence for a while, Dracomon looking up to Taeka with a worried expression.

“...Taeka, are you ok? You haven’t said anything in a while.” Dracomon asks, but Taeka doesn’t respond or move a muscle.

“Try and remember...Where my strength comes from...” Taeka whispers under her breath to herself, repeating the words that Erik had told her earlier. “Man, what was Erik even talking about?”

“Your crest powers, Taeka! What was the name of the crest on the Digi-egg that we use to armor digivolve to Allomon?” Dracomon asks. Taeka looks away for a moment, thinking.

“...It’s the crest of courage. I feel anything but courageous right now though.” Taeka grumbles, resting one hand on her head.

“...Maybe Erik should be the leader of this group instead of me.” She mutters.

“What?! Hey, don’t think like that!” Dracomon snaps at her.

“Come on, you know I’m right!” Taeka snaps back. “I mean, he’s so much smarter and cooler, and courageous then I am! He even got Labramon to digivolve to the mega level before I could do the same for you!”

“NO!! I KNOW YOU’RE WRONG!!” Dracomon screeches, Taeka reeling back from surprise. Dracomon then tries to calm down, taking a deep breath.

“...You wanna know how I know I’m right?” Dracomon lowers his voice, Taeka finally looking up at him with a tired, but attentive look.

“...I know the Digital World gave you the power of the crest of courage for a reason. That’s cause with your courage, you’ve been able to get through any fight or obstacle, no matter how tough or impossible it seemed!”

“But...What about now? I don’t know how to get through this situation...” Taeka says. 

“That’s cause you gotta remember your real courage, and the reasons why you fight in the first place!” Dracomon confidently responds. “Remember back when we fulfilled that prophecy by jumping off that building? Nobody else was there to help us at the time, but you still had the courage to do it, and that courage was what helped me digivolve to ultimate for the first time!” Taeka starts to smile a bit, rubbing the back of her neck. “Heh, I guess that was pretty cool.” She says.

“Yeah! And remember both the times I’ve armor digivolved to Gargoylemon? You thought both those moments were going to go bad, but everything turned out fine!” Dracomon continues.

“Er, I guess so...” Taeka responds.

“Taeka, you just gotta remember every courageous moment we’ve ever had together! All of those moments, no matter how tough they seemed, we’ve always been able to eventually get through them! And this time won’t be any different.”

“Wow, Dracomon, I...” Taeka looks down at Dracomon, with a slight sparkle in her eyes.

“He’s right, you know.” Axel’s voice suddenly cuts through the conversation, alerting Taeka as she suddenly stands up, looking at him and ToyAgumon.

“Woah...Aren’t you...” Taeka looks at Axel with a surprised expression.

“Yeah...Axel. Your friend Erik brought me here, so I’m a part of the group now.” Axel looks away for a moment, looking nervous. “But uh, I couldn’t help but listen to what you two were talking about, and...Uh, I think Dracomon’s right. When I was the Dark King, I remember how strong of a leader you were to the group, and you always being able to avoid or get past any chaos I caused.”

“See? He used to be our enemy, and even he’s complimenting you on your strength!” Dracomon says. Taeka looks down, silent for a moment, before a small smirk starts to form on her face.

“Heh...I think I’m starting to realize it now. You know what else I’ve been missing?” Taeka says.

“What is it?”

“Not only did I lose my courage, but I also forgot the real reason why I stay courageous in the first place...” Axel, ToyAgumon and Dracomon all look at her curiously, with cocked heads.

“...It’s because of our friends. I don’t just stay courageous because of our friends...I stay courageous FOR them. If I don’t first, then nobody else will...

...Every single person and Digimon that fights back the evil as well...They’re not just our teammates...They’re our friends. And if we don’t stay courageous and fight, then all our friends, and both our worlds will be gone forever!!” Taeka’s voice rises with more and more determination, a soft, orange glow starting to form on her Digivice.

“You’re both right. I can’t just mope around anymore. From now on, whatever enemy that comes through and hits us...We’re just gonna get back up and hit em back twice as hard.” Taeka pounds her fists together, a new, freshly determined look on her face as she confidently walks towards Axel.

“Axel...Thank you for joining the group.” She says. “Let’s do our best to finally defeat Laylamon and get our friends back, alright?” Axel stares at her with a surprised look, before regaining his composure...Nodding in agreement.

“You must know a bit about the demon lords, seeing as you were with Belphemon for so long, right?” Erik asks, looking at Axel.

“Yeah, Belphemon’s a bit of a chatter box, so he’s told me a bit more then he probably should’ve. And the thing is...” Axel pauses, looking down at ToyAgumon. “Until ToyAgumon has the strength to digivolve back to ExTyrannomon, I can’t do much fighting wise, but hopefully my knowledge of the demon lords will be helpful enough.” Axel looks in another direction, scratching his chin as he thinks for a long moment.

“Alright...I think I have a good enough plan. Every day, there’s a specific time at night that Laylamon calls her ‘down time’, where she goes to the top of her tower and refuses to be disturbed. This will be a good time to plan a sneak attack, since it’s also the time where most of her army members are asleep, besides a few guards. If Taeka has a smaller Digimon that can fly to the top of the tower, then she can fly to the top of the tower and get Laylamon’s attention. The garden has no guards at this time, so everyone else can sneak in through there, and as long as you’re quiet you should also be able to get to the top without any distractions. Then, as long as the plan works out well without distractions, we should all be able to fight Laylamon at the top of the tower without any distractions.” Axel pauses, looking above at the pitch black sky, which would’ve made it impossible for them to see if it wasn’t for the lavender colored moon lighting up the sky.

“It’s too late and too dark outside to do this right now, so we’ll have to wait until tomorrow, the second the sun goes down.” Axel looks back down at the group, facing Taeka. “Taeka, does Dracomon have a smaller and more powerful Digimon that can fly to the top of the tower?” Axel asks, Taeka scratching her chin in thought.

“Well...Coredramon isn’t powerful enough, Wingdramon’s too big, Allomon can’t fly...And...” Taeka voice trails off.

“...Taeka, I hate to say it, but Gargoylemon’s the only one who fits the role perfectly.” Erik says.

“...Gargoylemon?” Taeka winces, just hearing that name.

“Well, if Gargoylemon can fit the role, then our plans pretty much good to go.” Axel says.

“Yeah, well the only problem is that Gargoylemon is unpredictable, and doesn’t really listen to orders.” Erik chimes in.

“...Oh. Well, if Taeka can try and find a way to control him, we should hopefully be fine.” Axel says.

“Hey...If we have a plan now, can we go to sleep?” Lily asks, yawning and rubbing her eyes. Everyone nods in agreement, setting out their sleeping bags...Except for Taeka, who stood there frozen, sweating nervously.

‘I have to...Use...Gargoylemon?

Man...I’m getting nervous again.’

A day later...

“Antylamon! You need to sit down!” Mummymon supportively held onto Antylamon’s shoulder, as her body shook and she lowered her head, looking like she was about to collapse from another days of work, walking into Doumon’s cottage.

“I...I’m...Fine...” Antylamon slurred on her words, slowly falling to her knees as she whimpered in pain.

“Woah...Is she...” Doumon walks into the room, looking at Antylamon with worry.

“Yay! You’re both back! Come to the back, I wanna show you guys-“

“Coronamon, not right now please, Antylamon isn’t feeling well.” Doumon says, cutting off Coronamon. 

“Antylamon! Is there any way I can help you?!” Mummymon kneels down to her level, looking at her with worry. Antylamon doesn’t respond, only holding her stomach and whimpering in pain.

“Ugh...I...”

“Antylamon?!” Antylamon then suddenly falls over and collapses, dedigivolving to Turuiemon.

“Oh no, this isn’t good! She needs help!” Mummymon picks up Turuiemon, panic rising in him as he looks at Doumon. “Doumon, do you have anything that could help her?!”

“I don’t, but the Digimon at Laylamon’s tower might be able to help.” Doumon says. “Just make sure not to bug Laylamon, as right now would be considered her down time.”

“You’re right, I need to go find Laylamon and ask for her help!” Mummymon hurriedly says.

“What? Did you hear what I said?” Doumon says in confusion.

“Go bug Laylamon and ask for her help, got it!” Mummymon hurriedly opened the door, running out.

“Mummymon, wait!” Doumon calls for Mummymon...

...But he quickly slams the door shut before she can stop him.

The sky was now a dark purple color, now at nightfall as the sun had just set, which meant one thing...The plan was now ready to go. Everyone was in a spot close to Laylamon’s lair, but Taeka and Dracomon were in another close by clearing, training to make sure they were ready. Dracomon looked pretty determined, but Taeka was pacing back and forth, looking nervous.

“Alright, I’m ready! You ready to go, Taeka?” Dracomon says.

“I don’t know, Dracomon...I was feeling confident earlier, but now I’m feeling nervous again!” Taeka’s voice cracks, rubbing one army nervously.

“Is this because of Gargoylemon?” Dracomon asks, Taeka looking away in embarrassment.

“...Taeka, listen. When I become Gargoylemon, I don’t know what will happen, but I want you to promise me one thing...” Dracomon states, Taeka looking at him with curiosity. “...No matter what happens, I want you to stay courageous and keep fighting until we reach our goal and accomplish our plan...Of defeating Laylamon and getting our friends back! Alright?” Dracomon states, Taeka looking surprised before nodding in agreement.

“Yeah, I will...I need to stop being scared of Gargoylemon and just face anything that comes my way without any more worries!” Taeka looks at Dracomon in confidence, her Digivice starting to glow lightly again. “Dracomon...I accept your promise.”

“Alright, are we all ready?” Cora asks, everyone in the group now together.

“Yeah, let’s do this!” Taeka says, pumping her fists confidently.

“Yeah! Time to kick some butt!” Gummymon chimes in, popping out of Lily’s backpack.

“Er...Lily, are you sure you wanna bring him with?” Axel asks.

“Yeah, he’ll be quiet! Besides, he really wants to fight Demidevimon.” Lily says.

“And I’m still gonna stay down here.” Erik says, him and Xiaomon sitting in the grass. Taeka pulls out her Digivice and takes a deep breath, while everyone else looks towards the direction of the garden.

“Alright...DIGI-ARMOR ENERGIZE!!”

“DRACOMON ARMOR DIGIVOLVE TO...GARGOYLEMON!!”

Taeka quickly hops on Gargoylemon’s back, forcefully wrapping his arms around his back. “Alright buddy...I’m not gonna let go of you! Now, to the top of the-WHOA!!” Gargoylemon starts violently trying to shake Taeka off, but fails, hissing in anger as he suddenly flies up, out of sight in the blink of an eye. Everyone looks up at them, with concerned eyes.

“Er...Are they gonna be okay?” Axel asks.

“I...I hope so.”

“Whoa, Gargoylemon! Slow down!!” Gargoylemon does violent tricks and spins in the air, trying to shake Taeka off as he barely makes any progress going up the sides of the tower. “Gargoylemon...I...Said-AGH!!” Gargoylemon suddenly flies upside down, Taeka’s fingers nearly starting to slip from her grasp. Gargoylemon then flies upward lightning fast, nearly reaching the top of the tower. Taeka starts to feel more and more worry as she starts to slip some more...Until Gargoylemon suddenly slams himself into the tower, digging his claws into the walls, finally giving Taeka the chance to readjust herself, tightly wrapping her arms around his neck again.

“Gargoylemon...Please...” Taeka whimpers as Gargoylemon tries to shake her off again. She looks down for a moment, gulping nervously when she couldn’t see the ground.

‘Not again...And this time feels more dangerous too...’ Taeka starts to feel nervous again...Until she suddenly remembers the promise she made to Dracomon.

“Gargoylemon...I am NOT going to be scared of you anymore!!” Taeka tightens her hold on his neck, jerking his head to face the top of the tower. “You...Are going...To go to the top...And fight Laylamon...And get our friends back!! Got it?!” Gargoylemon growled in response, trying to shake Taeka off, but this time she kept her steady grip. “GARGOYLEMON!! LISTEN TO ME!!” Taeka powerfully yanks Gargoylemon’s neck one more time, enough to thrust him off the sides of the walls, as he suddenly flies up...Landing with a hard thud on the tower rooftop. Taeka’s Digivice then starts to glow orange again, but this time much brighter then before. Taeka then gets off of Gargoylemon’s back, but maintains her steady grip on his neck.

“Alright, Gargoylemon...You’re free to make some noise now!” Taeka says, as Gargoylemon screeches loudly. “GARGOYLE FIST!!” Gargoylemon then starts violently hammering the floor, nearly shaking Taeka off.

“Heh...That should get her attention.”

“WHAT THE HELL IS THAT NOISE?!” Laylamon screeches, standing up off her bed as she walks up the stairs, Demidevimon following her. She leaves Blaine alone, who looks up at the sound of the loud thuds on the roof.

“I could’ve sworn...Was that Taeka’s voice?” Blaine tiptoes slowly, making his way up the stairs as he follows Laylamon to the top of the roof...Where of course, he sees Taeka and Gargoylemon, facing down Laylamon.

“Taeka?!”

“Blaine! Don’t worry...We’re gonna get you outta here!” Taeka says, wrestling to keep her grip on Gargoylemon. “The others...Are gonna be here soon too!”

“DAMMIT! You all planned this attack?! AND DURING MY DOWN TIME?!” Laylamon screeches, her face twisted with fury.

“Laylamon, I’m getting my friends back and finally defeating you, and there’s nothing you can do about it!!” Taeka confidently snaps back at her, looking at Gargoylemon for a moment, then back at Laylamon, a confident smirk on her face.

“Alright, Gargoylemon...Have at her.” Taeka slips both her hands off of Gargoylemon...Finally releasing her grip.

“FREEZING WING!!” In a flash, Gargoylemon screeches, firing at Laylamon. Laylamon tried to dodge the attack but failed, the sharp icy stones stabbing into her. 

“RAZOR NAILS!!” Laylamon claws back at Gargoylemon, who screeches in pain as he takes a swipe back at her. The two of them go back and forth, taking punches and slashes at one another as Taeka and Blaine watch the battle closely.

“Come on, Gargoylemon...YOU GOT THIS!!” Taeka yells.

“Taeka! Are you alright?” Taeka looks towards the stairs, seeing that the voice came from Cora, who also had the others with her. 

“Blaine!” Ryudamon runs towards Blaine, suddenly hopping into his arms and embracing him.

“Woah! Don’t worry Ryudamon, I’m alright.” Blaine reassures.

“Hey, Demidevimon!” Gummymon hops towards Demidevimon, suddenly barking at him. “Come on, let’s go you ugly bowling ball!”

“Why, you little...!” Demidevimon glares back at Gummymon, as the two suddenly charge at each other, also getting into a fight. Taeka looks at the smaller Digimon fighting, then back at Gargoylemon and Laylamon. The two of them both looked pretty angry, attacking each other pretty mindlessly. Gargoylemon looked like he was doing some damage to Laylamon...But not as much damage as she was doing to him, as Gargoylemon suddenly took a few steps away, panting heavily.

“GRRR...ENOUGH OF THIS!!” Laylamon screeches, suddenly grabbing Gargoylemon by the neck and lifting him up. “EMPRESS EMBLAZE!!” Laylamon strikes, slamming Gargoylemon roughly into the stone flooring, making him dedigivolve to Dracomon.

“Dracomon! Are you alright?” Taeka looks down at her partner, who was surprisingly able to get back up, only coughing a bit.

“Yeah...I’m only just getting started!” Dracomon says confidently.

“WHAT?! How the HELL are you still standing after that?!” Laylamon screeches, looking in shock.

“We’re stronger then you think, Laylamon...” Taeka says, her and Dracomon staring her down. “AND WE’RE NOT GONNA BE SCARED OF YOU ANYMORE!!” Taeka’s Digivice  starts glowing brightly, Laylamon wincing and turning away from the bright light.

“As long as me and Dracomon are still standing...WE’LL ALWAYS KEEP FIGHTING!! AND WE’LL NEVER LET YOU FORM OGUDOMON AND DESTROY THE DIGITAL WORLD!!” In a flash, Taeka’s Digivice explodes into a rainbow of colors, Dracomon’s body now glowing the familiar orange color...

“DRACOMON WARP DIGIVOLVE TO...

...

...

...”

“...SLAYERDRAMON!!”

Taeka stood wide-eyed, staring with sparkles in her eyes finally seeing Dracomon’s mega form. Standing a bit shorter then Laylamon, but taller then Gargoylemon, clad with armor that sparkled against the soft moonlight above. Slayerdramon narrowed his eyes and slowly pointed his sword towards Laylamon, who like everyone else, shared the same shocked expression.

“Slayerdramon...” Taeka smirked. “Show em how a real Digimon fights.”

“...With pleasure.” Slayerdramon takes one step forward, a blue energy forming in his sword.

“Oh, you’ve gotta be kidding me...” Laylamon hisses under her breath.

“DRAGON’S SWORD!!” Slayerdramon slashes Laylamon with his sword, who falls back, screaming with pain.

“WHY, YOU...RAZOR NAIL!!” Laylamon slashes back, Slayerdramon easily blocking it with his sword.

“URGH...EMPRESS EMBLAZE!!” Laylamon unleashes a barrage on Slayerdramon, who once again, deflects it with his sword, only getting burnt a bit.

“FRAGARACH SLASH!!” Slayerdramon fires a cutting beam with his sword, again sending Laylamon back. The two then charge at each other, slashing back and forth.

“Wow...Is this the first time Dracomon’s digivolved to the mega level?” Axel asks.

“Yeah, it is...” Cora responds. Everyone watches the two fight for a moment...

...Until they suddenly hear rapid footsteps, cautiously turning towards the direction of the stairs...

...And see Mummymon stumble onto the roof, still holding Turuiemon as Crescemon quickly follows next.

“God, are you deaf?! I said not to-“ Crescemon scolds Mummymon, but quickly stops herself when she sees the fighting going on. 

“Wha...What the...”

“Mummymon?!” Cora looks up at her partner, who looks back with widened eyes. 

“Cora?! Oh, I’m so glad you’re ok!” He sighs.

“Hey! What’s wrong with Turuiemon?” Lily points up at her barely conscious partner, Mummymon slowly lowering her down, as she falls into Lily’s arms, dedigivolving to Lopmon.

“Oh no! Lopmon?!” Lily gently holds her, looking down with worry in her eyes.

“She’s used up a bit too much of her strength...” Mummymon mutters.

“You...You both planned this? All along?!” Crescemon looks at Mummymon with a shocked look, before it slowly turns to anger. “You...You traitor!!” Crescemon quickly slashes at Mummymon, who barely stumbles out of the way.

“Crescemon...I don’t wanna fight you...” Mummymon whimpers.

“...It’s too late for that.” Crescemon remains unfazed as she takes a couple more swipes at Mummymon, who only keeps dodging each attack.

“Give it up pipsqueak, you’re too tiny and weak to defeat me!” Demidevimon cackles as everyone turns their attention back to the two, Gummymon looking beat up, but his spirit still intact as he glared at Demidevimon.

“GRRR...GUMMYMON DIGIVOLVE TO...”

“...TERRIERMON!!” Everyone looked in shock at Gummymon’s new form, who glared at Demidevimon with a smirk.

“HA!! You really think you can suddenly defeat me now, just because you-“

“BUNNY BLAST!!” Terriermon blows out a shot of air, cutting off Demidevimon and sending him flying back.

“Hey, Terriermon! Why don’t we fight him together?” ToyAgumon asks, hopping next to him.

“Yeah! Let’s do it!” Terriermon happily agrees.

“What?! Hey, two-on-one isn’t fa-WAUGH!!” Demidevimon is once again interrupted when the two suddenly tackle him at the same time. 

Everyone’s eyes darted back and forth now, with all the chaos and multiple fights going on at the same time. Taeka, however, kept her eyes fixated on Slayerdramon and Laylamon, luckily seeing her partner starting to win as Laylamon attacked mindlessly in a blind fury, Slayerdramon able to gracefully dodge each attack.

“FRAGARACH SLASH!!” Slayerdramon takes one last slash at Laylamon, who gasps from the pain, falling down to one knee.

“Ugh...You gotta be...Kidding me...” Laylamon huffs, slowly getting back up. “Why...Is this happening...I...I never even wanted to form Ogudomon!!” She wails, everyone looking at her in confusion as she slowly lifts one clawed arm.

“I WILL NOT...LET YOU...DEFEAT ME!! EMPRESS EM-

-GUH!!” Laylamon tries to attack, but suddenly gasps, feeling something stab through her chest. She looks down, seeing a long, clawed hand protruding from her chest, the hand then slowly pulling itself out, Laylamon clutching at the giant hole in her chest and falling to her knees...Revealing the Digimon behind her.

“Is that...Barbamon?” Lily asks, everyone looking at the two in confusion and horror. Barbamon ignores her, simply staring down at Laylamon for a quiet moment, who gasps in pain, looking up at him with horror.

“...Useless.” Barbamon huffs, suddenly grabbing Laylamon by the head with one hand...And grabbing and ripping through her neck with the other...Poofing her to dust. Barbamon then stretches out one hand, absorbing Laylamon’s data as everyone looks in horror.

“...Atleast now I can finally put your data to good use.” Barbamon says, looking down at his hands.

“Wha...You...” Taeka stutters, unsure of what to say.

“You...You killed your friend!” Lily says, looking scared.

“FRIEND?! HA! What kind of game do you think we’re playing, little girl?” Barbamon cackles, his booming voice spooking everyone even more.

“HEY!! HOW DARE YOU DO THAT TO LADY LAYLAMON!! YOU’RE GONNA PAY FOR THIS!!” Demidevimon squeals, flying towards Barbamon, who quickly grabs ahold of him with one hand...Then squeezing tightly, Demidevimon’s body popping like a balloon, instantly turning to dust.

“No...” Crescemon also looks in horror, before her face twists into anger “You’re gonna REGRET THIS!!” Crescemon charges towards Barbamon next, who stops her by grabbing her by the neck, quickly throwing her off the side of the roof.

“Wha...What is wrong with you?!” Blaine stutters, in shock.

Maybe I just have a bit of hunger for data...” Barbamon grumbles, slowly looking towards Slayerdramon. “Especially yours. Your data looks pretty tasty.” He smirks.

“You better take a step back, Barbamon.” Slayerdramon growls.

“Oh, I think you’ll regret speaking those words.” Barbamon whistles, everyone hearing the soft flapping noises of two Digimon coming towards them, landing next to Barbamon.

‘Ghoulmon: Mega level, virus. Demon lord Digimon that was originally a high-ranking angel, before falling to the Dark Area and becoming assistant to Barbamon. Main attack is Explosion Eye, where it fires a laser beam from its central eye.’

Two Ghoulmon: One black and one white, standing eerily silently, glaring down at the group.

“Heh, seems you’re looking pretty tired too. You sure you wanna do this?” Barbamon mocks Slayerdramon, who was trying to hide it, but he was panting lightly, looking a bit worn out from fighting Laylamon.

“We’ll always fight as long as we’re still standing.” Taeka says with a serious composure, Slayerdramon pointing his sword at Barbamon.

“FRAGARACH SLASH!!” Slayerdramon fires, Barbamon barely being affected by it.

“DARK INFERNO!!” Barbamon fires back, with a dark purple colored flame.

“EXPLOSION EYE!!” “EXPLOSION EYE!!” All three attack Slayerdramon at once, causing him to screech in pain and fly backwards...

And dedigivolve to his fresh form, crashing into Taeka’s arms.

“Well, I’ll tell you one thing...You were right about Laylamon being a traitor, Keramon. Thank you.” Barbamon says.

“Keramon? Wha...” Mummymon looks in confusion, before looking towards the stairs and seeing Keramon next to them.

“Keramon...? Have you been working with Barbamon...This whole time?” Mummymon stares at Keramon with betrayal in his eyes, Keramon not answering, only awkwardly looking away. Nobody knew what else to do at this point, only staring at Barbamon and his Ghoulmon in frozen fear.

“Well, this was fun while it lasted, but...I have important plans here. It’s time to separate you all now.” Everyone still stood frozen, as the three readied an attack...That they all knew they couldn’t avoid.

“EXPLOSION EYE!!” “EXPLOSION EYE!!”

“PANDEMONIUM...LOST!!” Everyone’s vision is suddenly clouded with a huge, dark explosion of flames and ashes, feeling their bodies flying into the air...
