Clothing Style

Kyle tends to dress rather casually with a mild blend of sporty and somewhat trendy. He tends to be active and on the move quite a bit, so he tends to wear whatever works best with his mobility. He also prefers summer styles and warm weather outfits. His usually style consists of jeans or knee length shorts with a T-shirt, sometimes a light jacket, and running shoes. His shirts tend to have some kind of print on them, and he doesn't really accessorize too much either. As he gets a little older though and his confidence is more stable, he ends up dressing a little sharper and more fashionably. He likes the idea of dressing well, but when he's younger he tends to worry about looking like he's "trying too hard" and typically dresses casually to avoid the possibility altogether. 

During his time in Onakaiya while playing the role of prince of Arakaivia, Kyle wears a regal yet mobile ensemble of semi-light armor in a somewhat modern medieval-inspired style. He wears chest and shoulder armor along with a tunic top and pants with legguards and boots. His arms are protected by gauntlets and elbow guards, and he has two sword cases, one on his back for his jagged one-handed sword and one at his hip for a katana. He also wears a simple silver circlet marking his royal position.

Personality

Kyle is a social and focused boy with a rather unpredictable emotional tide. On normal days, he's seen as a calm and easy to approach person who can be a bit of a player toward cute girls, and although he is charismatic and smooth with his words, he can also be a bit cocky and arrogant. He tends to keep a cool exterior demeanor and keeps up a confident air about him while sometimes letting himself be a bit of a braggart if he gets too caught up in the moment, but like most boys his age his ego can sometimes be a bit fragile. He usually keeps his negative emotions bottled up so he can keep up his image, but he can get snippy and aggressive when too many things are bothering him, either physical conflicts or too many internal conflicts. 

Kyle can come off as a little selfish and full of himself and isn't terribly generous, but he's fully capable of cooperating with others when needed and focusing on the task at hand even when he doesn't particularly care much for it. He can adapt to changing situations rather well in most cases in public, but he tends to be more averse to changes in places he finds comfort in, particularly in his own home. Oddly enough though he tends to accomplish the most and perform at his best when he's under pressure or under stress, so his moody behavior when pushed to his limit doesn't seem to interfere too much with his priorities and goals. It will, however, cause a lot of friction between him and the people around him if they don't give him enough space to channel his frustrations.

Abilities

• Iyce rifting - rank 2/5 on his own, rank 5/5 when channeling Arakaivian energies, although he has trouble controlling it alone
• After his time in Arakaivia, he becomes skilled with wielding swords, specifically dual wielding one-handed swords

Strengths

• Persistent, charismatic, and persuasive
• Approaches problems with confidence and capable of keeping a cool head under stressful conditions
• Instinctive, has quick reflexes, and performs at his best when under pressure
• A fast learner, handles crowds and attention well, and incredibly focused once he sets a goal

Weaknesses

• After passing a threshold of stress, he becomes very irritable and lashes out at others easily
• Bottles up his negativity to save face, which causes a lot of internal conflict for him
• A bit full of himself, but it doesn't take much to wound his ego
• Annoyed easily by people too different from him in terms of personality

Backstory

Kyle was admitted to the Hateulots private schools at a young age without actually knowing what the rifting capabilities within him were. During elementary school, his parents got a divorce and he remained with his father, who later remarried a woman who had a son, Aaron, about Kyle's age. The stepbrothers liked each other enough, but their contrasting personalities made them fight often, Kyle usually starting the conflicts both because he was more confrontational and also because he tended to be jealous of Aaron's adept skill at rifting when he still hadn't figured out his own potential yet. Kyle cooled off and became more mellow around Aaron after his mother died of cancer a few years later though.  

Kyle is in his last year of middle school and trying to sort through his internal conflicts involving his still dormant rifting abilities and the notion that his biological parents are beginning to gravitate toward each other again. He's also started to get moody toward Aaron again, mostly because Aaron is considering potentially moving to be with his biological family instead, which Kyle's not sure how to feel about.
