Everything about the way Meriwether acts towards him is...to put simply, baffling. They aren't just here solely for info? Or turning him in??Or killing him??? It completely defies the great deal of interactions he's had growing up, and truthfully? It's terrifying.
However, due to how kindly Meriwether treats Saiph, as well as their shared background of disrupting Orbenia's wyvern trade, Castor realizes that they have a lot more in common than first assumed. And perhaps because of that comfort in shared interests, Meriwether is one of the very few people he can drop his guard around.
In post game, Castor works alongside Meriwether in their research - though at first he does so out of respect for their work, he finds newfound purpose working alongside them, and is more than to happy to lean an ear whenever needed.
(Of course, he also is more than happy to babysit the wyverns whenever needed, too).
While Saiph's the reason Meriwether took interest in and risks for the pair, now that they've actually spoken to Castor it's for his sake as well that they are glad they did. Despite their extremely different lives, he feels like a kindred spirit - and his clear confusion and embarrassment as they seem to get along makes Meriwether less worried that he's secretly judging them for their sheltered life.
Castor's made Meriwether interested in taking a few more risks, and they can only hope that a tiny bit of their caution has been traded and will keep Castor alive until they can make the island their home.
Peony was the one who gave Missile his scars. And she had no qualms at the time for him hating her - in fact, it was a fun game! She loved it until her memories of her past were killed.
Missile once wanted to kill this woman, but now? Who's this? He's still wary around her, though he can't understand why.
Sorrel first learned of Grayson indirectly through his letters to the Island, requesting them to deescalate events in Ysingmyr in order to avoid the church from getting to involved. Eventually, Grayson manages to make contact with Sorrel and, while at first unsure, quickly decides to put his trust into Grayson when he learns that he's been keeping an eye out for his daughter, Pollux.
Together, Sorrel's vowed to help Grayson out with whatever he needs, acting as a bit of an informant, especially when it regards Ysingmyr. He's also provided Grayson an ear whenever the wolf needs to discuss more sensitive topics, and keeps the matters between the two of them as long as Grayson desires it.
The relationship between Grayson and Sorrel is weird, since at times Grayson thinks of Sorrel as someone on his level, and at other times there's just this small internal feeling going "dad?". That being said, Grayson does think of Sorrel as a good friend and confidante, and someone to listen to when it comes to input on the Initiative's direction.
Having met Grayson at the outset of the Island Initiative's creation, Pollux has grown to know him for some time. And while at first her impressions on the Island were viewed purely from an informational standpoint, she's come to enjoy the small band of allies that Grayson has brought together.
Being one of the few on the island with a brain cell, she's more than happy to give Grayson a honest opinion whenever the wolf's unsure about his next plan of action. That said, Pollux also tries to make sure that Grayson isn't working too hard, and actively encourages him to take a break every now and then.
Although he's always on alert around Pollux, having seen the antics she gets up to since he formed the Initiative, she also is one of the few people he just drops his guard around and stops pretending to be the leader of the rag-tag bunch of misfits they're a part of now. After hearing about her past over the time since they've been together, he's definitely taken some inspiration to take on a different task.
After meeting Castor, Grayson instantly took a shine to him, mostly due to the similarities with his sibling. However, after spending some time with him and Sorrel, Grayson decided to also provide a sanctuary for Castor for the times he doesn't want to be 'the phantom' but just relax.
At first keeping Sorrel actively between him and Grayson out of the sheer inability to trust anyone, the meeting left such a positive impression that he's begun to lower his gaurd. And while the back of his head constantly tells him that 'Wolfie's only here for the info i have, nothing more', he's taken the steps to try and fight that reasoning back. Genuinely grateful for Grayson's efforts to provide him safety, despite knowing the risks that'll soon come by doing so.
While young, Evelynn has a level head on their shoulders and is capable to reminding Ivory to take a breather now and then. Ivory also trusts Eve a fair bit simply due to how much she's seen Ivory's much more monstrous form -- however, whether or not Eve's actually connected the dots, or still views it as 'advanced cosplay', is unknown to them.
Ivory is someone that Eve looks up to, since he's a fair bit more experienced when it comes to using Personae. On top of that, they're definitely aware that Ivory has some connection to the mysterious rumours of Seraphs and Demons in Mazehart. They haven't fully pieced together that Ivory is a God yet, though... but this is already a lot to take in, since it's going against Eve's religious education quite a bit.
Sascha does not grasp the depth of what happened between Dyna and Sundae in the slightest, and bears literally no grudge towards Sundae for using her in other timelines--frankly, she finds it difficult to believe anyway (after all, her power is limitless, nothing could kill her, as far as she is concerned). She frequently takes advantage of Sundae's ability to fulfill her own wishes, and views them as a valuable teammate and resource.
Sundae's first encounter was surprisingly tame -- in a timeline far off from the one that they are in now, they would learn of her through her recent passing. This would be the first of many times that Sundae would see her meet her end, thanks to Dyna's innocent, but dangerous, wish. And, after watching Sascha live, die, and live again, and through that, gain power through each timeline? Sundae had no reason to dislike the girl, being a key part to allow this cycle to continue endlessly.
Thus, it becomes a surprise to them when, against all odds, Sascha completely turns that cycle on it's head, and manages to capture Sundae. And while it's not to say that Sundae dislikes being one of Sascha's pokemon, the Jirachi knows that in time, they'll be able to outwit her and be freed once again.
Except, as Sundae grows to know Sascha, truly so, they realize that they have more in common than first assumed. And because of that shared desired to be in the spotlight, Sundae slowly abandons their desire to break free, and starts to help Saacha out more earnestly, even if their suggestions are suspicious at best.
While Ivory worries about her recklessness and tendency to bite off more than she can chew, his habit to do the same makes it difficult for him to truly convince her to be careful. They do their best to at least convince others that Yoko is of course, a very normal girl -- but given Ivory's inability to weave a good lie, the results of this end up being more comical than intended.
Yoko has not yet cottoned on to the fact that Ivory is the leader of the Seraphim now. She knows now that at the very least he is a Seraph (since he has seen her other form)... but he also only has one wing, so she presumes that he is at her power level. She still flees to him when she needs medical attention, something about him just strikes her as the sort who is good at applying bandages...
Is inspired by Amaretto's works, and sometimes uses them as foundation for her cosplay photoshoots. Strawberry can also sympathize with the awkwardness that comes with handling aggressive fans, though of the two, she's more opt to break character to shut them down than Retto is.
Mainly knows Strawberry through her online social presence. Enjoys her pastel, soft approach, but can keenly catch on that there's more to her than meets the eye.
His feelings on Strawberry are more complex than he's aware of, but for now, he sees her in a positive light.
Her feelings about Ivory as whole are two-sided -- there's the part of them that she finds charming (if not silly), and the side that wishes that he'd butt out of things.
He's one of the few people who actually knows Strawberry before her cosplaying foray, and perhaps because of that, can see through her act and get her to talk about her worries.
Strawberry's known Mirin for quite a while, and loves his cafe for the cute pastries and tea that's offered. A reliable fellow, truly! Loves everything he has to offer on his menu, yes indeed.
She's pretty popular, huh? (Ponzu has a crush on her because of her well crafted cosplay, and totally won't admit to it.)
Since Mirin knows Ponzu, Strawberry's willing to trust him. Is definitely aware to some capacity that he likes her, but who doesn't?
Working under the Queen for quite some time, Brook is fairly loyal to her and, on occasion, can muster the strength to hold a decent conversation with her. Thus, when Emeline entrusts the crew with protecting her child, Rosen, Brook is eager to take the role on.
Now, years later, Brook works under Rosen, keeping an eye on them whenever the former Queen cannot. Even with Emeline's role passed on, however, Brook still speaks just as nervously -- and formally -- as she did during her time working with her. (She's doing her best to loosen up.)
Emeline is very thankful to have Brook as part of the militia, with her being devoted, loyal, and one of the more level heads of the group. When Rosen was finally revealed to the militia and then the continent at large, Emeline came to Brook occasionally for her stories of parentage, and confided in her as well. She looks forward to a rapport once she returns from her travels.
A reliable ally who Ponzu worked alongside to take on the chasm's threats. Capable of handling Pierce's rougher quips with quips of his own, yet respects his desire to work as a team. Sometimes, he's the voice of reason when Pierce's self-esteem drops, though Ponzu's approach sometimes comes off...a bit more curt than he'd like to be.
Ponzu is still a bit of a mystery to Pierce, but he's worked enough alongside him to trust him. He likes to shoot the shit back and forth with Ponzu, but he's still freaked out by the gun. He hasn't seen Ponzu in a while though; ever since they took down Lety, seems their jobs just don't line up.
Calls her 'the Sun.' Holds a grudge against her for inheriting the power responsible both his parents', as well as his grandparents', demise, and actively seeks a way to destroy that power once and for all. Has dealt with many of her attempts at his life, and has started to return the favor once he took on his guise as the Phantom.
However, after learning that Ankaa was being used for the Council's gain, Castor shifts his goal to take away that power to save her.
With anyone she's assigned to take out, Ankaa once saw him as a threat to be disposed of. Despite this, she wondered from time to time what his family did, to deserve such a long, and persistent, target on his life.
After Castor takes her powers away, she's thankful for saving her, but unsure how to approach him.
As Pollux's first major exposure to Sybil was Emory's retelling of the infamous 'pizza prank', they've cottoned on fast to Sybil's low self-confidence. While it won't stop them from pulling a harmless prank or two on the priest, they've also given Sybil means to speak about his troubles, offering blunt, but well-intentioned feedback in order to bolster his conviction.
"I trust in you to get the job done. Sorrel's worried sick, though." Sybil's seen Pollux's prowess on the battlefield firsthand, and knows he doesn't need to worry about them. He might have lowered his guard too much though: a prime target for pranks...
Him and Sybil's ties are, er, 'complex' at best. At first baffled by Sybil's intent to protect Inndyr's church, he's come around to recognize his shortcomings in part to the priest and, perhaps due to Sybil's upbringing, feels it necessary to give them a bit of information every now and then about the current situation.
Now, if only he could stop throwing himself into danger in order to do so...
"I....I suppose we are allies now?" Sybil's really not sure what to make of Them (tm). He knows they means well now, and is starting to realize that they're a bit of a goof, but he's still very cautious of them, since he knows they can be dangerous.
Being used to forward a goal centered around Sundae's quest for recognition as a deity, and innocently accepting Sundae's ability to grant them his wish at a very, very hefty cost, Dyna's viewpoint about Sundae is overall negative.
Despite this, as Sundae is now one of Sascha's own, Dyna has slowly laid aside some of his grudges towards the pokemon. Regardless of time, though, he never expects himself to fully trust the wishmaker again, and always has an eye open to ensure Sascha (and himself) don't get involved in more than they ask for.
For Sundae, Dyna was the perfect target for them -- young, innocent, and the sort who doesn't ask questions about the wishes they grant until after the deals said and done. The constant failure and time loops that Dyna had gone through in order to fulfill the wish that Sundae required has allowed the pokemon to amass a great amount of power, bringing them to status as a proper deity in many timelines.
In this one, however, Sundae found themself demoted after being caught by Sascha. While they can't go and scheme like they used to, they have fun bringing Dyna and Sascha to strange worlds, especially enjoying the reactions Dyna has from all of this.
All and all, Sundae knows how to get under Dyna's skin, and has a lot of fun doing so -- even if the sorts of things they pull today aren't nearly on the same level as they've done in the past.
The traveler's viewpoint of Lillia mainly stems from the performance -- after seeing her perform, they've quietly resolved to boost Lillia's self-esteem, seeing a lot of their past (if not current) self in her.
That said, they haven't connected the dots that Lillia, unlike them, probably doesn't have the same enthusiasm for the arts as they do...
Bell has an overall positive outlook on Claude, though due to being born only for a short time, Bell's impression of him may change as they develop.
First assuming that he died years ago, Sorrel now keeps a careful eye on the Phantom, adopting a fatherly role for them. He's aware of the Phantom's misdeeds, and is guilty that the Phantom spent so much time on the run...but with time, Sorrel hopes that he can give the Phantom the same care and safety he's given to Pollux.
Though at first wary, Sorrel's genuine kindness and care has softened the Phantom's cold and distant disposition. He still holds Sorrel at a distance at times, but is not-so-secretly grateful to finally have a pillar of support. Likes to call him 'Old Man' or 'Pops', if only for the faces Sorrel makes when he does.
Initially, Pollux has heard of him through word of mouth, but had paid little mind to the 'mysterious Phantom." However, after learning that the Phantom is a) her brother and b) her brother is alive (?!), Pollux is quickly grows concerned for her brother's reckless actions -- not to say that she's any better, though...
After reuniting proper, Pollux uses whenever chances possible to pull Castor into her schemes, with a not-so-secret goal of revisiting the childhoods that neither were able to share with one another.
Due to being siblings, Pollux has been the only person he could immediately put his trust in. And while he's jealous that Pollux got to grow up without the constant threats and dangers that Ysingmyr lobbed at him, he's grateful that she's hasn't had to feel the weight that their family name bears until truly necessary.
All and all, he's happy for her to be alive, and will do whatever he can to keep it that way.
Silas is super cool, running around with that group of performers! There are so many Laguz and Branded and Beorc together, and while they obviously don't always agree they still care for each other. Caz likes to think it's just like the Meihua. Silas will fit in great!
Silas finds Caz naive, but well-intentioned. He tries to fuel Caz's optimism in hopes that a little of it rubs off of Silas in turn, and keeps a watchful eye to ensure that he comes out of the combats they get into unscatched. Definitely sees Caz like one of the performers, and would be open to letting him join if he ever expressed the interest.
Silas finds it funny that Caz can't even muster the courage to confess to the girl he likes, but doesn't tease him too much about the ordeal.
Silas obviously gets his kicks from poking fun at the others' serious demeanors, so she can appreciate his levity. Him and Caz tumbling around can be distracting at best, but it could be much much worse so she'll take it.
Bullies Valdsam, which is plus. Audrey's eccentric nature is a bit curious at best, but he generally finds conversation with her entertaining, at the least.
He's another one of Fleto's ilk, just like Caz, but he seems much more levelheaded than Caz so hopefully he won't cause as much trouble. In fact, that levelheadedness is much appreciated considering the rest of the new recruits...
Silas tries to keep his sass in check given that she's his boss, but does appreciate her ability to speak genuinely with everyone, regardless of background. He's sure when the time comes to take the reigns, she'd make a great leader, even if her current insecurities can bring herself doubt at times.
