Seasons

The Wikimak pride doesn't have much for season's really. They don't get much for snow, if any at all, and trees never seem to change into different colors.

In the spring, it is known as the wet season. It's almost always raining within the spring. Of course, it helps the plants grow and the flowers blossom, but sometimes it can be a bit much. Such amounts of rain cause the rivers to overflow and the oceans to rise. Storms are more common in this season, and the lions don't tend to get out very much within the spring.

In the summer, it becomes nicer and drier. Rain does come, but not as often as spring, and things definitely tend to grow faster. The sun is out more often and for much longer than winter. It gets rather hot within the summer, however, so shade is an absolute must, or a visit to the beach. The lions are definitely out most in this season, and are spotted more at the beach than they are around their own dens.

Fall is when things start to get cooler... and drier. Rain seems to slowly become scarce within fall, and fall never seems to last very long. Tree leaves shed, but they don't really change color. They stay a consistent green throughout the entire year. Leaves upon the ground curl up and become a sort of compost for the various plant life, but it's harder to hunt within this time, mostly because the leaves make all this noise! Fishing, however, is best in this season.

Winter tends to be the driest season within the year. Barely any rain falls within this time period and things become rather dry. While rain does come a bit at a regular pace, it is still few and far between. It is also much colder at this time of year than any other time, and the pride tends to huddle and snuggle more in this weather, and enjoy lazy days and larger prey wandering through.
