Fun's For Adults Too

There are all sorts of things to do within the Wikimak territory, and even outside of it. In the spring, cubs and adults alike enjoy playing hide and seek in the fog, playing in puddles, and going slug hunting. Hide and seek in the fog is quite enjoyable, as hiding is much easier and seeking can be a bit harder. Playing in puddles has always been fun and slug hunting has become a tradition around the pride lands. The banana slugs come out when it's damp and wet, and so it's easy to find them. The lion who finds the most slugs wins!

In the summer, pride members enjoy the beaches and the oceans most. Lions enjoy swimming or basking in the hot summer sun, or just laying in the shade and watching the others have their fun within the ocean's waters. Members enjoy finding and playing with crabs and clams and fishing to their heart's content. At night, after the sun sets, the lions enjoy just sleeping out at the edges of the beach, the sounds of the waves lulling them to sleep.

In the autumn time, pride members tend to hunt more and make it a game for the adolescents, having a competition as to who could catch the most rabbits and squirrels. Then there's rolling in what little leaves there are. And, of course, most times around this time of year, cubs try to climb trees to see who can get the farthest. Those that try to climb the Redwood trees never manage to reach the top. In fact, they never get very far at all.

Finally, in the winter, most of the lions stay within their own dens, so games involving family are played. Games like I Spy and Truth or Dare are usually played, and when things wind down, stories are told. Stories are almost always told within the pride and hold a special place within every pride member's heart.
