If backed into a corner, the pride of Wikimak would know when to retreat. Of course, they'd stand their ground for as long as they possibly could, but when it comes to the point where nothing else could benefit them or their pride as a whole, then they know when to retreat. For it is better to try and leave without a scratch than it is to try and find you, or others, injured or even worse. The lives of their members are the heart and soul of the Wikimak pride, and so they would rather retreat than continue to try and stand their ground when it wouldn't work well to do so anyway. There is always next time, too. It's not like there will never be a next time. When retreating is necessary, but going back is essential, they can take the time in between to analyze the situation and handle it in a better way than previous, and pray to Wicasa for guidance.
