Natural Phenomenon

Floods don't often happen within the pride's territory, but have a chance in doing so due to the fact that they get plenty of water within the rainy season. Such things have happened in the past, though it is rare.

In such a situation, lions are encouraged to evacuate their dens immediately. They are told to take whatever they must but, obviously, not too much as to weigh them down at all. Then they are to take their families and leave the territory, going as far as they can until they reach the small desert on the outskirts of the redwood forests. Such a place should be safe enough from floods, due to the massive amount of sand and dryness. Any water would easily and effortlessly be soaked up by the sand itself, and even then, it is rare that such a flood would go through the entire forest. For it is a large forest, after all.

Lions are not advised to go to the plains, as those have a possibility of being flooded as well. Insoniti are obligated to check the plains just in case the flood has reached this place and, if it has, they are to go and check upon the native peoples that live within the plains to see if they are all okay. Any suffering native peoples are to be helped.

Insoniti are to regularly survey the territory after all lions have evacuated to the desert lands and are to make regular reports concerning the state of the pride lands. Only once the report is good and the insoniti can say with certainty that the territory is dry will the lions, then, move back to their homes. Debris will be cleaned up upon returning.
