The coming of age only happens once, so why not celebrate it? The pride of Wikimak will mark the celebration of the coming of age when an adolescent reaches the age of two years old. It is then that the tominatoak is informed and a celebration is planned. 

The celebration is planned usually by the parents of the adolescent, but they can go to other members for help if help is desired. Decorations are usually strung up leaves and feathers, and balls of twigs and sticks, hollow for fireflies to be kept inside. They are strewn all throughout the territory and signify that a celebration is about to begin. 

The parents must also inform the kwahu of the adolescent's favorite meal, and the kwahu would be required to go and find it, although if it is a certain time of year where such a meal cannot be found, then it is understandable. It will be prepared and with various herbs and spices, which are considered delicacies and, most times, only used for celebrations and festivals. 

When the adolescent's second birthday arrives, the entire pride bring them out to the center of the territory, and they all laugh and sing and dance and play. After a bit of dancing and play, they all go to share and partake in the meal provided, celebrating and acknowledging the adolescent's momentous day. Then there is more dancing and singing and laughing. It goes on all day and well into the night. Only then will the celebration tone down and slowly begin to end. It usually ends when the moon is high within the sky, and all the lions are fast asleep from the long, fun day. 

The name of such a celebration is Ocowana. It means "From little to big".
