Green Giants

There is a wide variety of plant life that lives within the territory of the Wikimak pride, and a lot of their forest is characterized by the Redwood trees that seem to only grow around the general area they live in. These are, both, the largest and tallest of their species and can grow up to 377 feet (115 cm) tall with a 30 feet (9 cm) trunk diameter. Despite how big they are, they are known to have shallow, yet wide-spreading roots. They are known to be evergreen, as well. Because of their needs and the way this specific environment is rigged, the ground around their roots is damp all year round and they receive plenty of water from both the rainy season and the fog that is almost constantly within the area. They are very resilient trees, being resistant to insect infestation (probably because their bark can be almost a foot, or 30 cm, thick) , rot, and fungal infections. Their leaves are similar to pine and fir trees, which also seem to grow around the area, and albinism can, very rarely, be found within such trees.

Along with such trees, there are other various plants that enjoy the environment the forest provides. Trees that grow amongst the redwoods are as follows:

  • Big leaf maple
  • White Adler
