Most ranks don't tend to use objects to help them in their field of work. Insoniti don't exactly need them because they're just patrolling most of the time. Kwahu don't need them because their claws and fangs are more than enough to take down prey. However, there are a few other ranks that do need them. In fact, they use them quite regularly. 

Tamatama need them to create things. Most times, a tamatama will find a small, strong stick and twiddle it down to a small, sharp needle, and will use such a needle to create beautiful things, like hats and necklaces. They also use a glue-like substance, most often clay found in the ground or the slime of a slug, to stick things onto each other to create more amazing masterpieces. 

And the tolorolla use a lot of the same techniques. They will also use needles to stitch up large lacerations, and will use a large rock to smash up leaves and berries into a fine powder or paste, which can later be used to be lathered upon a lion with a skin problem or other various issue. 

These two ranks use objects more so than most others, but they definitely help serve the community better. Without such items, the pride of Wikimak would not be as prosperous as they are now.
