☀️Appearance ☀️

Brachial plexus nerve injury affecting his left arm. Grip strength is about the same, but struggles to lift or carry anything. Can't lift his left arm past his rib cage or away from his body without using his other hand to help. Has a general dull ache in his shoulder and upper arm that can turn into severe pain if he over does things. Typically has left hand in his pocket or tucked into his jacket.

His resting face makes him look upset constantly

He wears the same outfit almost everyday. Elrion has multiple of the same pants and shirt and doesn't see any reason why he should have a diverse wardrobe. He barely leaves the area surrounding his house. He does make an effort to always wear something red due to it being considered a culturally important colour in Vaahl.

✴️Personality✴️

Considers himself lucky, but cursed to never get what he wants. 

Comes off as dour, humorless, and curt to strangers. It takes him a long time to warm up to people even if he's introduced to them by someone he already knows. He's a good man, just no nonsense and intensely private. 

Has always been an introvert who deals with negative feels by isolating himself. Gets frustrated with most conversational social norms. He's the kind of person where if you ask him how he's doing, he'll answer honestly. Hates it when people aren't being straight forward with what they want from him. 

The last day he and Keshfier spent together, Keshfier made him promise that he "live through this". While Keshfier was meaning live through the war, Elrion has evolved the meaning to include any trial in his life.

🌕Backstory🌕

He's just a sad old man that would be a hermit if it wasn't for people finding ways to get into and stay in his life. Still setting the timeline, but he's around 200 for any real plot line

Born some time in the 1750s. From the former country of Vaahl. Currently lives a bit outside of a village named Wanten in the country of Odtrium.

Before The Odtrium Empire conquered his home country, he worked as a botanist that focused on selling hard-to-acquire botanical spell ingredients

Met his partner, Keshfier Ryah, because of his store. Considered themselves married to each other even though they kept their relationship secret knowing Keshfeir's parents would not approve due to class differences. Their relationship was a poorly kept secret, people that knew them found it pretty obvious. Keshfeir's parents knew, but hoped that it would just be a temporary fling kind of thing. Elrion had no idea that Keshfeir was interested in him at first despite the man constantly hanging around his store and asking him out to dinner a few times. It took Keshfeir holding his hand and talking about how much fun he had on their dates for Elrion to get it.  

Took part in the war against The Odtrium Empire's invasion. He is genuinely unsure how he lived through it as the last thing he remembers about is being in a battle then waking up in a cabin miles and miles away. He isn't particularly keen on knowing exactly what happened as he doesn't want to possibly get involved in some sort of magical nonsense. Used to think that he must have wandered through Yenka and Thane's, but ditched that theory after meeting a young man named Leleux. 

Out of everyone he knew, he has managed to get back in contact with his cousin and her son, as well as the wife of his best friend, Deka, . He's never gotten along with his cousin, but loves her anyway. Gets along really well with her son however. Rarely visits his cousin or her son (or any of their descendants), but writes often. His cousin's son, who I really need to name, did come and visit Elrion at least a few weeks each year. 

Hasn't been able to find Keshfier or anyone who can say what happened to him. When talking about him, Elrion will refer to Keshfier in both the past and present tense. Elrion knows that Keshfier is most likely dead, but refuses to give up hope entirely. The few times Elrion has elaborated on his feelings around Keshfier's wellbeing, what he says is along the lines of, "I know it's silly and he is probably dead, but I can't help but hope he's alive. At this point, I don't even care if I ever meet him again. I just want him to be happy. I hope he's moved and and has met someone else. I hope he rarely thinks about me."
What Elrion has never told to anyone is that while he desperately wants Keshfier back in his life, he's terrified that they will no longer be compatible as a couple or even friends.

Currently has his several-times-removed cousin, Dominic, staying with him. Elrion has promised the rest of his family to look after the kid and keep him out of any further trouble. 

Elrion rarely goes into Wanten, but is on at least okay terms with everyone who currently lives there. Gets along the best with a man named Thomas. He thinks Thomas is very odd, but likes his frank way of talking and his unique perspectives on things.
