Thinks that people are naturally cruel and selfish. People do good things because they want a reward and if they say otherwise they are lying. Doesn't deny that there are probably some people who do good because they genuinely want to, but they are a rare exception and not the norm.   

Bright and methodical. Has a good understanding of how flux zones function and what items are valuable and what can be removed from the area without degrading. Collects instruction and repair manuals so he can do repairs at home.

Very much the kind of person to say something fucked up and then say it's a joke if you get upset. It's not a joke. He means it. 

He is 100% an absolutely terrible person

🌕Backstory🌕

Lives in an absolutely garbage world where, at some point, time and reality broke causing things from the past and future to come together into one horrible present. Some areas, referred to as "flux zones", are worse than others when it comes to warped reality. No one can pinpoint exactly when the cataclysm happened since everyone remembers the event differently. 

Takes advantage of how little communication places have between each other and that areas outside of towns are basically ungovernable

Hasn't done anything fucked up in front of the other people in town, but pros of the scavenging community swear up and down he just feels off. Dude is a bunch of red flags, not a person you want to trust with your life out in the middle of nowhere. There are rumors that he did kill the last the last person he partnered up long-term to do work with. There is no proof that Theron did and the guy also died in another town so it really all is just speculation. 

Gets paired up with Toby once by chance. Convinces the guy to keep working with him since he finds Toby fascinating. Plus, Toby is kind of a dream partner to have. Theron does his best to not scare him off but it is a slow slide into him showing Toby just how awful he is.

Could easily quit scavenging for things in flux zones and just doing repairs various repair work. Doesn't because he knows he would get bored.

Theron does feel that Toby does owe him and, to an extent, he actually owns the man. Theron puts a lot of time and effort into teaching Toby and expects the guy to remember that. 

Theron is unaware that he is death-skipped. Like most people the magic he gained is... unimpressive. He can hold his breath longer than he should be able. Hurray?
