Name: Spirit (she used to go by "Angel" back when she was an Angel)

Series: Animals

Age: ????

Gender: Female (she/her/herself)

Species: Ghost (formerly an Angel)

Favorite Food: Pineapple

Element: Light

Powers: Floating, levitation, intangibility, can pass through objects and living beings, can temporarily possess living beings (but only for 2 minutes max), light spell, etc (more to add later)

Catch Phrase: "I have to stop Soul."

Likes: Fruit, sunshine, staying focused, reading, and classical music.

Dislikes: Being a ghost and not being able to eat or interact with anything, Soul, and not being able to remember all of her past.

Personality: In her earliest appearances, Spirit appears to be distant and moody towards others. She is reluctant to trust others due to her ex-friend Soul being out for her blood, but she eventually decides she needs to reach out to the heroes to stop Soul's wicked plot. She suffers from partial amnesia, and at first has no memory of her past as an Angel. She is often frustrated by the things she is unable to remember, and expresses feeling useless in those moments. After regaining all of her memories, Spirit becomes calmer and more determined to help the heroes. She also becomes much friendlier, but still has a dislike of nonsense.

Home: Animal Planet

History: Spirit previously lived a life as an angel named Angel who had an odd friendship with a Shadow Spirit named Soul. An awful incident led to Spirit being turned into a ghost, losing part of her memories, and her friendship with Soul being destroyed for good. She first appears in the story proper in the third arc as she appears in Sketches' dreams to warn him about Soul, though she can't remember all the details at first. She appears in Sketches dreams several more times throughout the arc, occasionally with her Angel form that she doesn't recognize next to her. She eventually physically appears to the heroes and helps them in the climax of the third arc to stop Soul. During the final fight, she someone manages to temporarily return to her angel form.

Current-Bio: Spirit currently lives(?) on Rainbow Island, and has made it her mission to watch over the now weakened Soul. While she doesn't expect or intend to mend her friendship with him, she does wish to help him drop his villainous ways. She also decides to seek out a way to permanently return to her angel form. She appears less after the third arc but still remains an ally to the heroes.

Meta-History: Spirit was created sometime while I was in middle school, and used to appear often as doodles on my notes. Surprisingly, she only had one Deviantart drawing and it was a collab I did with two people: The Best Collab Ever (I thought my part looked so good... |D oof). Despite having a similar appearance to Cheryl, they're completely unrelated (while Cheryl was an angel of sorts in her original backstory, she had nothing to do with Spirit) and Spirit actually may have been created before Cheryl, though I don't have proof either way. While many of the previous character bios had some very loose Warriors inspiration, Spirit was actually inspired by Gardevoir from Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team of all things, mostly the appearing in the main character's dreams bit. Originally she'd appear next to an angel character named...Angel, and then eventually it's revealed that Spirit and Angel are the same person. idk younger me wasn't always great with backstories. Spirit's story wasn't always connected to Soul's, but I've decided to connect them because I feel like it works out. Her hair being long on one side and short on the other was originally just a dumb design choice younger me made, but now the lore reason for her hair being like that is related to the incident that turned her into a ghost. idk I don't feel like giving her a different hair style so it just got partially sliced off during a past incident.

Relationships with Other Characters:

Sketches: Spirit first appears in Sketches dreams during the third arc to warn him about Soul. She eventually appears to him and the other heroes in person as an ally.

Soul: In the distant past, Spirit and Soul were friends. These days they're bitter enemies over something that happened.

If I think of anything else I'll add it later.
