Kai sighed as he paced around the Ancient Ruins. At least nothing's changed here... He thought. A rustling alerted him of another presence there in the crumbling buildings. His ears twitched up and he looked around warily. His eyes were drawn to a small brown lion who was slowly padding into the clearing. Kai relaxed as he recognized the lion. He didn't know much about him, but he knew that he was in his pride.

"Hey, sorry. I didn't think anyone else would be here today," Kai said. The other lion simply shrugged nonchalantly, brushing it off. Kai thought it was weird that he didn't say anything in response, but his thoughts didn't linger on that for too long. Instead, they were more focused on the fact that the strange lion seemed to be talking to bugs? Even weirder, the bugs seemed to be listening to him? Apparently things had changed more than Kai had thought. "Uh, I don't mean to be rude, but what are you doing?" He asked curiously, walking up next to the lion. The lion merely shot him a glare, before returning to the line of ants that were now walking away from a flower and back into the forest. "How... How are you doing that?" Kai asked, blinking.

The mystery lion sighed slightly, before grabbing a stick and walking towards the woods. Kai just stood in the Ruins, before the other lion looked back at him impatiently and gestured for him to follow. Embarrassed, Kai quickly padded after him. He was led to a sandy clearing in the forest. The lion started to write in the sand with the stick.

"I'm mute. I can't speak. I can hear you."

Kai looked at him, "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't realize. What's your name?"

"Ayo"

Kai smiled at him, "Alright, Ayo."

The two of them stayed there for a little while longer, just talking and enjoying the forest.
