"I've been waiting a long time for you"

Kosa had no idea what she was feeling. One moment, she was annoyed to death by Helios, the next, she found these weird pink ice crystals forming on her neck. She'd never seen them before, except for on Amoka, and they weren't giving her any answers as to what they meant. She had some idea, because of when they showed up on Amoka, but that idea was obviously wrong. There was no way she could be falling for that obnoxious flirt.

Helios obviously noticed the ice crystals, but was too amused at Kosa's irritation at them to say anything. He just bided his time, knowing that sooner or later, she'd come to him. He almost couldn't believe it himself when he figured out he had a crush on her. It was absurd. The confident, outgoing Fire Mage being in love with the reserved, prickly Ice Mage? The idea was laughable. However, this meant that not only was he hyper aware of everything he was doing around her, he was also aware of what she was doing around him. He picked up on her little quirks when he approached, how her words got all jumbled, and how she suddenly got all nervous. It was adorable.

Kosa looked up at the cave entrance nervously. She felt a tail touch hers reassuringly. She glanced over at Dan and smiled. He smiled back before nudging her forwards. She steeled herself, and padded through the tunnel.

"About time you got done standing there,"

She jumped at the voice, turning to glare at the Fire Mage.

"Calm down there, love. Just me," Helios began, his mane glowing a deep red in the darkness, "As I was saying, I've been waiting for you," He said, walking closer to her.

Kosa sighed, "I suppose there's no use in avoiding the subject?"

"Not really," He admitted.

"In that case, I have something I want to tell you, Helios," She said. He looked at her, before sitting down and nodding at her, signalling her to continue. "I've... well. I have these weird feelings whenever you're around. I kinda like it? I think? I'm not really sure," She said, glancing up at him from time to time, "My point is. I think.. I think I have a crush on you?" She said.

Helios's eyes lit up with glee as he exclaimed, "Finally! I was wondering when you'd bother to tell me!"

Kosa looked at him in horror. "You knew?!"

Helios looked at her incredulously, "Of course I knew! I'm pretty sure the entire pride knew before you told them. You're not exactly subtle, Kosa," He responded. "However, I suppose I should say that I feel the same way."

Kosa purred, nuzzling his mane, finding the warmth emanating from it reassuring. "How the heck are we gonna tell my parents?"
