One of my favorite pieces of media has to be the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan. I've always been interested in mythology and ancient civilizations, which I apparently got from my uncle, so this series in particular intrigued me. I got the idea to make a sort of Camp Half-Blood in my pride after listening to the Lightning Thief musical, which is based on the first book in the series. The religion in my pride is also based largely on Greek and Roman religions, with a group of major gods that sort of rule over the others, and two main rulers of the Godly Realm, Miungu. It also shares the idea that there's an area separate from the kingdom of the gods where the spirits of the deceased go to rest. The books influenced a huge part of my interests in ancient mythologies, especially since I sort of grew up reading them.
