Thyx thinks Cel is just the coolest! What a great leader! And so cute and talented! Yep... they're totally gonna be an item.
Thyx is... Thyx. Why is he the only one who seems to hang out at Castle Oress anymore? He's nice and all but he's also... well, he's also Thyx, y'know?
Umbra can't help but feel bad for Cel. She's not sure what happened that made Cel maintain some semblance of her pre-awakened self, but it's unfortunate that it caused her to end up in a position she clearly wasn't prepared for and would never want in the first place. As neutral as she tries to stay, it does pain her to constantly be the source of Cel's woes. She's far too gentle a being to be stuck in the Competition, but people like her are exactly why Umbra does what she does.
Cel has... complicated feelings about Umbra. Umbra's Alliance has always been in direct opposition to the Castle Oress Alliance, but Cel knows that Umbra is actually a good person deep down. Heck, not even that deep down at all! Cel recognizes that in the end, Umbra is really just another person trapped in the system and has her own unique way of helping everyone cope. She wishes they didn't have to be enemies, but even during times of peace it's hard to trust her...
Cel is pretty cool. He believes in her a ton and is always sure to hang out at her place to check up on her, eat a strawberry sammich or two, and watch some YTPs on her TV. :3
Bunny is pretty much Castle Oress' mascot since he hangs out there so much! Of course, he hangs out with Umbra a lot, too... but Cel doesn't mind that, Bunny is a purely neutral party that everyone can count on! And he's cute! He's a weirdly reassuring presence considering he's just a weird mysterious rabbit with a :3 face.
???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? How interact with
She won't remember him for very long. Such is having the mind of an infant (as qamar puts it.) Time will tell if they ever cross again.. she did her very best to help him, though!! That's what matters most!!! ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
This guy seems WAY nicer than the other fire magician she knows. She met him on some escort mission for a big jerk dude, and he seems pretty cool!
And he's so gonna french fry Dicro, c'mon, even she can tell...
Dicro's little sister. As much as Yval enjoys teasing Dicro, he always does so through the message cantrip if Fray's around because look she really shouldn't be hearing any of it.......... also, she's banned from swearing. :colbert:
Islette thinks Justine is pretty much the most obnoxious being in the entire universe.
STOP LEAVING GUM UNDER DESKS, CRIMINAL!!!!!!
Chelsea can't help but scratch her behind the ears whenever she comes by. At least it gets her out of trouble...
thumps tail excitedly!!!!!
Justine's pretty kooky, but Pira likes her attitude and admires the fortitude it must take to run a club like the Justice Club at Hell College! She's cool in her book.
Justine respects Pira always looking out for freshmen, and while she's busy with S.P.O.R.T.S. Justine still considers her an unofficial harbinger of JUSTICE!
Easy money, easy content, and easy entertainment. What's not to like?
Crucifera is an important source of details and news for her! His prices are steep, but there's no cost too high for JUSTICE!
Though Justine is perhaps a bit too impulsive and naive for her own good, Jing likes the idea of a Justice Club and has sponsored it to make it official. He hopes she'll do good work.
Jing is one of the few teachers on campus who seems to really support what she's doing. Justine appreciates his efforts to help her! Not that she needs any help, of course!
Jerry and Poe are both from Denver.
Poe and Jerry are both from Denver.
(And both of them were sacrificed by the same cult and subsequently wound up at Hell College. Coincidence? Yes, actually.)
A former student of his at Hell College, as well as his current TA. Poe is a rarity in that he excelled in Ignis' courses, leading to the aforementioned job offer. Ignis has high hopes for Poe and places a great deal of faith in him for someone not under his traditional employ. That isn't to say that he hasn't tried recruiting Poe in a more typical sense, though... perhaps the next time a Procurator position is on the table...
His former professor and current employer; Poe is Ignis' TA. He handles grading and other monotonous tasks for him, and tends to tutor half of his students since his classes are pretty brutal. Poe managed to excel in them, though, and has nothing but admiration for him. And maybe a little fear, but that's normal. Habitually refers to him as "sir" 99.999999% of the time.
Has been considering his various offers, but... not that he doesn't trust Ignis - well, I mean, he doesn't Totally, Ignis is a successful demon, after all - but giving up your soul is kind of a big deal. And a permanent one.
What a guy! His unique little condition is always great for news. Everyone loves a good inexplicable goring. Funny makes money! Violence also does that.

A wonderful student! Always so eager to learn, experiment, and grow! She's happy he decided to stay at Hell College after graduation and is eager to see where the future takes him!
One of Poe's professors. He was always fond of her and likes talking to her whenever he gets the chance. Her warm but excitable personality resonates with him, and her sheer breadth of knowledge is fascinating. She's definitely a role model of his.
Middling, in that his potential is vast and fell blood runs strongly through him, but he's still too soft. Too weak. Too human. Too... /purple/.
Yenzhal was one of Poe's professors. Though Yenzhal is rather harsh, Poe managed to succeed in his classes nonetheless. He feels Yenzhal's feelings are relatively valid, in that he understands it's hard for a Real Demon(tm) to adjust to an increasingly communicative and gentle world.
An interesting figure. He radiates an energy found only at the very boundaries of existence, and perhaps he brushed against the outside of them. A shame he couldn't get permanent experimentation rights to him, and even more of a shame that Ignis got his hands on him, but oh well. Research continues.
Poe spends much time in the library and Ganymede has interest in subjects that Poe is inherently tied up in, namely the fringes of Entirety and phenomena that are yet to be explained. They're familiar with each other, and while Poe doesn't mind Ganymede's prickly personality all that much his prying nature is a bit disorienting. Not to mention the whole vendetta against Ignis and all...
Istra is fond of Poe. He always compliments them, brings them snacks, pets them, doesn't care if they sleep in his bed or plop their head in his lap... The epitome of how everyone should treat them, Istra feels.
Poe met Istra early on at Hell College, as they too were a test subject. They wound up becoming friends thanks to Istra's nonchalant nature and Poe's kindness and generosity, and this connection has only grown as Poe's become closer with Ignis. Istra lives with him, after all! He doesn't mind their lapses in memory too much; it obviously bums him out, but he's always determined to get on their good side again. Not that it's terribly hard, seeing that he's always sure to bring them snacks.
Poe has inexplicably never wackily harmed Istra with his mutations. Maybe that's the power of friendship...?
A good friend of theirs, much more than a mere co-worker. Her incredible curiosity and unhesitating nature make Nashira someone that Theocritus respects and trusts. Even if there are better role models...
A good friend of hers! Nashira thinks Theo is the coolest, and is glad they always let her do what she wants instead of trying to tie her down like others tend to!
Obnoxious. Doesn't matter what she is or what she's capable of. She's squandered any potential she had.
Nashira likes trying to feed Qamar things and pesters him incessantly. Qamar isn't exactly appreciative of her enthusiasm.
The heart of someone half-worth interacting with lies within them, but alas. Something about them is simply too gentle and too genuine for Qamar's tastes. Too... likeable.
Theocritus is thoroughly curious about Qamar, but they try to keep their distance since it's clear Qamar doesn't enjoy company or questioning. Still, it's difficult... just where did he come from? What did he used to be? What is he capable of?
Nashira is essentially Theocritus, but even worse. She's difficult to manage, and while Astor likes her and all, he tends to feel like a stressed mom trying to keep their hyper kid under control in the candy aisle.
astor holding nashira by the collar and sighing as she wiggles around excitedly
Astor enjoys Theocritus' company and mind, but frequently has to reel them back thanks to their relative naivety combined with their insatiable curiosity. For someone so intelligent, they sure do get into a lot of trouble...
Theocritus finds Astor a good conversationalist and considers his charisma to be immensely useful to their studies. However, they aren't sure why he seems so intent to hide so much of himself. What does he have to be ashamed of?
Qamar barely tolerates Astor. There are beings worse than Astor, and Astor DOES give good head scritches, but that's not enough to outweigh Qamar's distaste for... everyone, really. Astor is just a stepping stone to regaining his full power. Once that's taken care of, Astor will just be a distant and unpleasant memory.
Maybe.
A strange bird that Astor unwittingly adopted. Astor is aware of his true nature as a powerful demon and, quite frankly, is kind of worried about it. Though he claims to be looking for a way to turn him back to normal, in truth Astor is intent on making sure Qamar remains in this powerless form... even if it means bearing the brunt of his bad attitude.
Her employer, and a truly admirable person on top of that! Amazonia is a paragon of justice and liberty throughout the universe, and Porphyra intends to act out her will with gusto!
