His really really cute co-worker who he's had a crush on since he first saw her. Really just wants to hold her hand and tell her she's pretty, but Lausac is horrible at human interaction and also being a decent person. For some reason he seems to be under the impression that she likes all of the teasing - maybe it's just because he thinks she's cute when she blushes?
He'll probably figure out manners someday. Maybe.
A fellow Representative who's good at getting on Flann's nerves. He's terrible at listening, likes pulling pranks on people, teases others, and is just in general disrespectful. Their relationship is pretty uneasy and they get into shallow fights pretty often, but since Orange's arrival and later on Lausac's involvement with Esme she's come to see a softer side to him.
He's still annoying, though...
One of his darling Representatives! Thinks of Flann very fondly, almost like a daughter, and thinks she's just the most precious thing. He kinda wishes he could utilize her power to utterly destroy his enemies, but he respects her boundaries!
The overlord who offered her the opportunity to live past the world she suffered in. Flann has learned to trust him and has a very high amount of respect for him, seeing him as something like a father figure. She's grateful for his very existence and the things he's set out to do.
One of her best friends and the first friend she made upon entering Hadris' dimension. They hang out pretty much all the time. Aedi thinks she's a lot of fun even though she gets kind of scary when she's angry. But who isn't scary when they're mad, right??
Aedi is one of her closest friends and an addition to Hadris' team that she's grateful to have. They go out together a lot and like to talk about relationships, cute animals, fashion, the meaning of life, and how to overthrow oppressive regimes.
Bug doesn't understand why he's so grouchy all the time. She's also super super SUPER curious about his general existence because Whoa, this is the first time she's ever seen a pile of bones that can walk?? At least she doesn't chew on him like Hal does, but she thinks he smells funny and follows him around occasionally, sometimes even sitting in during his classroom lectures. Speaking of those classrooms, they have a similar smell to them too... what does he teach again..? Something-magicy? It involves some kind of magic. Someone please help this poor pup.
"???????????"
Adorable, innocent, precious... Yenzhal finds Bug completely repulsive.
Therefore, perhaps she has potential, luring in the naive before going in for the kill...
A student with plenty of potential! If she could just get him under her wing... wonderful things could happen! Aranaea is no stranger to breaking people out of their shells, though, so it's only a matter of time!
He will admit that he was really tempted to sign up for the music class. The only thing that's stopping him is how shy he is over musical stuff.
She keeps trying to get him to join the class and gets embarrassed every time it's brought up. What the hell, was she listening in on him or something? Well, at least Aranaea seems to be a fun person to be around.
He knows he needs to have more confidence in himself with these things, it's just. Well. It's complicated. To him anyway.
His necromancy professor. Scary, but also a stubborn old man. Doesn't interact with him any more than he needs to. Really just unpleasant to be around in general, to be honest. It would explain the occasional hint of irritation in Nikolai's voice whenever he HAS to interact with the prof.
The professor shows little to no interest in his potential. Nikolai knows he can do so much more if he'd just undone the spell seal he placed on himself.. so he's pretty tempted to do just that to see how far he can go unhindered...........and also spite that walking pile of bones.
[mutual Disgusting.jpg intensifies]
A waste. He could theoretically have potential, but instead he chooses to seal away his abilities instead of taking advantage of them like a true demon. As such, Yenzhal has little interest in Nikolai. The humble and cowardly have little place in Hell College.
Should Nikolai learn to stop obeying mores of humans and embrace forbidden magic, then and only then would he perhaps be worthy of Yenzhal's acknowledgment.
His new neighbor. Who started hitting on him pretty much immediately. That's new!
Yval is really attractive and really good at teasing him, and even outside of that he seems pretty neat... Dicro wouldn't mind getting to know him better. But not like that! I mean, yeah like that, but like mostly as a friend. Like, both would be cool. If he was interested. Just putting that out there.
He came on to Dicro pretty much immediately during their first meeting. Mostly because Yval thought he was a cute dork and decided to tease him. As it turns out, he's /really/ good at making him get flustered. It's not even that hard to begin with, but it's always a plus.
Went on like One (1) date with him post-mission and it was chaotic (somehow not a total disaster), but he feels kinda bad for acting so weird. Even he knows this isn't how he usually is. Well yeah he really is just a big ol' spaghetti but like, he has a hard time getting used to being thrown in a clusterfuck multiverse without warning without finding anyone he recognizes, you know?
It's been A Day for Yval, but after running into his mother (and later on brother as well) he's started feeling more stable. Would honestly absolutely friendship it up with Dicro, especially if it balances out how weird he'd been until now. [>:3c intensifies]
A member of her alliance who's been around for almost as long as it's been accessible to other Realities. Despite Ignis' incredible malevolence and untrustworthiness, he's proven himself to be one of the most valuable, loyal, and likeable members of her alliance. Umbra trusts him almost unconditionally, and her trust isn't something that's given away easily.
Though she wouldn't admit it out loud, Umbra has a considerable amount of personal investment in Ignis. Which is exactly how she'd phrase it if she had to. Those who continue prying beyond that point shouldn't count on their continued well-being. Because it's not like she likes him or anything. Geez.
As Umbra's longest-served non-Tested alliance member, Ignis takes a great deal of pride in his years of service under her. Despite some minor friction here and there with some of the other alliance members, he always made an effort to make himself useful to her cause, proving to be an extremely valuable asset and trustworthy confidante. So, in other words, not the usual behavior that one might expect out of Ignis.
It's generally not a good idea to press him more on the subject. No really, don't.
One time Ignis was being a total cyberbully, so Thyx really put him in his place!! And by that I mean he got trolled and his fiery death is impending.
Anyway, Thyx totally forgives him for all of that because Thyx is merciful and forgiving like any hero worth their salt! Now that they're carpool buds and Ignis has clearly redeemed himself by tolerating Thyx's presence that makes them, like, best friends! Right, Iggy? Igmaster? Igmeister Iggy Ig? Right???
His early interactions with Thyx involved cyberbullying, threats of fire, and no shortage of trolling. Ignis's opinions of Thyx were decidedly negative after that, which honestly didn't change all too much by the time that they ended up in the carpool together.
Ignis now considers Thyx something of a pet project, albeit one without much hope of a future. He is very much aware of what Thyx could be capable of if he somehow managed to harness his oress-inspired lightning abilites, and occasionally tries to nudge him down that path when an opportunity presents itself...and when all else fails, Thyx's regenerative capabilities and flammable nature make him a perfect option for venting frustration.
The absolute worst. He's trashed her shop and tortured and/or killed her friends entirely too many times. Part of her hopes she continues to never see him again, but another part of her really wants to bash in that smug face of his with her bat so hard that the stains never come out.
She's not very fond of him, to say the least.
There's few people whom he likes to visit more, in that he tends to have a great time burning down her shop and torturing both her and those closest to her! At first, it was just business, but it's much more personal these days, especially when it comes to incinerating the hired help.
The feeling is obviously mutual.
Ignis is one of those guys where they're not TIGHT tight, but by Larya's standards they're still pretty tight. It's, like, a villain thing, y'know? She likes his style and has worked for him before.
Larya doesn't totally trust him, but that's less a personal thing and more just knowing better. Villain thing again. Well, the Entirety-oriented part of her distrust is kinda personal, but who CAN you trust with Entirety, am I right?
An infrequent associate (read: partner-in-crime) with whom Ignis occasionally works. She's alright in his book, which by Ignis standards is saying something. Their joint ventures generally turn out successful, though obviously he maintains a certain degree of suspicion when she is involved with something. Such is the life of a career villain, especially considering the distrust is both warranted and mutual.
Laejizhar can't claim to know much about Ignis despite having met him in person. There are certainly aspects of him that he can respect, but associating with Ignis seems to require getting involved in a mess that Laejizhar has no interest in being part of. He can only hope Hadris will mind his priorities as well.
Ignis is actually a pretty big fan of Laejizhar's cooking shows! It's a shame that he had to alienate him in terms of friendly cooperation, but business will be business.
Ignis tends to tolerate Istra taking up residence in his various cupboards and eating all of his food, so Istra has a pretty high opinion of him. They don't mind doing things for him as long as they get something out of it, though to be fair that's not exactly an exclusive honor.
Still, Ignis is probably his 3rd favorite person after Dicro and Ansaiele. Might be a toss-up with Zhirael. Either way that's pretty good, all things considered.
At first, Istra was just a convenient magical test subject and means of grabbing power at Hell College wrapped up into one convenient, if not a little unsettling, package. As time went on, however, he started to appreciate Istra's quirks and oddities, especially when that meant that he could bribe them into helping out with various things. It's not like he could keep them away from Dicro in the first place, so taking advantage of the situation works out for everyone involved.
Hadris seldom has qualms working alongside other evil beings, but Ignis is a special case. On the surface Hadris has no issue with him, but a recent trip to the subconscious of Ignis' primary foe changed his opinion pretty quickly.
Hurting fairly innocent people is one thing, but Hadris' primary concern is that Ignis seems to be involved with forces Hadris wants no part of, especially while he has so many greater concerns to deal with.
Ignis genuinely respects Hadris's accomplishments in the field of being an all-conquering overlord, particularly his early work. Proposing an alliance was only natural for Ignis... as was the expectation that Hadris would soon enough find said alliance distasteful. What better way to discourage hostilities than letting your potential rival know just what you're capable of?
Placing Hadris firmly on Black's bad side was just an added bonus.
Now on one hand Ignis is pretty cool, but on the other hand he's a total mind creeper. You ever have a malevolent deity hanging around in your head so he can watch people kill each other and then poke around to go into other people's heads afterward using your head as a jumping-off point?? Probably not.
He's not the WORST ever person who could be a mind creeper, but he has a lot to learn about anime spirit and treating people decently. Fray's confident that she can handle that first part, but MAN Ignis can't go like five seconds without saying something intimidating and/or super evil. He needs to get some friends. Fray's willing to make the sacrifice, however hesitantly. If she's gonna have to put up with him for the rest of eternity, then she'd better do whatever she can to make him tolerable!!
please don't get out mr. fish again
So one day Dicro is minding his business watching a magic show in the middle of a death game when Fray starts acting weirder than usual. He delves into her subconscious, and this ominous purple guy's just hanging out in there like "mwahaha I'm so evil and basically Satan etc etc don't mind me."
For most people this would be a problem. For Dicro, not so much. He kinda embraced it, in fact, and wound up giving Ignis a bunch of advice on conquering Entirety since he saw it as a win-win: Opine gets knocked out of power so the Test Reality stays safe, Ignis does whatever Ignis does, and Dicro gets to go on cool subconscious adventures! Right on!
Then Dicro started working at Ignis' fancy maid mansion, and now they carpool to a college in Hell. It's definitely been a wild ride, but all in all Dicro's been pretty satisfied with it. That's not to say that being chummy with Ignis hasn't caused a number of moral and existential crises to bloom in his already-fragile psyche, but what else is new am I right guys????? hahaha
Dicro overall enjoys Ignis' presence, and despite the downsides that come with befriending Purple Satan Dicro kinda feels like he's better off because of meeting him. He's become a lot more confident, and if he wasn't around then he might not have ever wound up at Hell College, which is an experience he wouldn't take back for the world. He has a weird amount of trust in Ignis, at least with the right subjects.
Inherent spaghetti aside, Dicro isn't really intimidated by Ignis at all. He doesn't take being set on fire personally and can't really take any threats personally thanks to the fact that being horribly tortured and murdered is what Dicro does for fun. He doesn't hesitate to snark at Ignis like anyone else, call him out on things, or keep him from pushing him around too much. Though Dicro would never say it out loud, he's well aware that their unique circumstances mean that Dicro has pretty much all of the power in their relationship, so what does he have to lose?
also he's seen ignis naked too many times and has become wary of doors because of this. also also he still owes dicro like two favors. when will ignis learn to keep his pants on? when will dicro use his favors?? the answers to both are likely "never" but stay tuned for the next episode of dragon ball z regardless
Arguably, Dicro is the closest thing to an actual friend that Ignis has. Most individuals within Ignis' sphere of influence are either underlings who would not dare to challenge him in the way Dicro does or higher beings that even Ignis must placate to maintain their relationship. Dicro is... neither of those things. The dynamics of their relationship are difficult to determine when Ignis refuses to speak on the subject.
Bunny thinks Ignis is a pretty cool dude! He's spent a lot of time just idly hangin' around him. He can really respect a guy who does whatever he wants and doesn't afraid of anything. They're totally bros. :3
A pretty cool dude, even by Ignis's standards! His interactions with Bunny are usually memorable, and anyone with his level of aloof chillness has to be respected. Has a feeling that there's more to Bunny than meets the eye, but that goes without being said.
One wouldn't expect someone as kind and gentle as Ara to have such deep feelings for someone so murderous and cruel, but Ignis has somehow managed to earn her favor. It helps that he was always nice to her and always so eager to aid and protect Umbra... she can't help but have a soft spot for him. Besides, she can see the good in everyone. She doesn't believe Ignis is irredeemable!
Ignis is one of the few people who knows about her status as a Superior Being, so it's clear that she has more trust in him than anyone ever should. She views him as a father figure and always seems eager to help him.
She isn't as naive as she appears to be, but the the power of love isn't easily surmounted.
It's tough to get a read on what Ignis' true thoughts about Ara are. On the surface, she seems to be a morality chain of sorts for him, but things are never quite so simple when it comes to the Lord of Torment. Does he genuinely care for her, or is that just a facade to placate her while he utilizes the depths of her true abilities? Only Ignis knows.
His biggest regret. That's all he's willing to say.
For the time being, he has no idea 2cro even exists!
A curious girl. Quiet but determined... could Velutia be the ally she needs?
A professor at Heaven College that she's chosen to assist. It's the best way to learn, and what she's learned has simply taken her to this point.
She'll come around. He's got everything she could want.
...Whether he's a friend or foe remains to be seen. It's tempting to trust him, but he certainly doesn't make it easy.
A student who's far too kind and gentle to be where she is. She's a joy to teach, but Mycena can see the evolution Tsubame is going through and wants nothing more than to stop it.
One of Tsubame's favorite professors. It's nice to have a class that's not all about fighting every now and then.
A blessing and a curse all in one. Rize's putting herself into too much danger... Mycena wants to be grateful, but she can't help but be apprehensive.
A professor at Heaven College who has a sad story that she'd like to help with! She's really nice, so it's no trouble!
One of her closest friends. Remaelius doesn't judge and always cares... they're always willing to lend an ear and a comforting smile. She feels bad for burdening them, though... they're already carrying so much weight as-is.
An unfortunate soul who's a shining example of what Heaven College allows to waste away. They'll do what they can, but they wish they could safely do more to help her.
A Heaven College student who seems promising, but is getting way in over their head. It's not like she doesn't want the help, but she doesn't want anyone to risk their safety for her.
Interesting class, interesting person! It seems like she's got a lot of secrets for Nashira to uncover, which is saying something given how secretive Heaven College as a whole seems to be.
