Toby Ross

biggest boy yet. resident supreme good boy. a hybrid between a kobold and a hellhound, but for some reason, is outrageously huge. toby is incredibly friendly and affectionate, and excitable around everyone he meets. he’s not the brightest person. though he’s academically successful, he’s still rather slow-witted, and completely oblivious of the fact. much to his lecturers dismay, he has a bad habit of napping during class, but his endearing and pitiful demeanor lets him get away with most of everything.

currently, ol’ toby is going to college, working to get his degree. his dog degree. dogree. he wants to go into forensic science some day! his hellhound traits naturally draw him to the miasma of death, and he believes his excellent sense of smell gives him great potential in the job. the job is rather redundant in fogmere, with the existence of reapers and banshees, so he has dreams of traveling abroad where his skills can be put to use. 

toby, like most hellhounds, was born “blind”, incapable of speaking human tongue, but communicates through sign language. he makes it work somehow with his giant chunky paws. toby sees through smell, but only at short distances. just in case, he uses a cane.
